Great place

Great place and comfortable vibes. Loved that there was a nice bar area and good opportunities to socialise. Also, on a good route to climb scafell pike via the corridor route.

Wished WiFi would reach the room and there were more plugs for charging phones

nice bar. drank 4 pits of water after 5 on the trail that hot day.

bunk beds not long enough. in a room myself with 4 and had to put 2 on the floor to sleep on. no coffee at brekkast. plus i'd bought a ticket for brekkast but guy at counter didn't believe me and i had to wait and watch huge queue of school kids get served before me before they got their paperwork in order. thanks for that!

If you can get a reservation, grab it.

The location is amazing. The staff are kind and generous with their help and advice on local hikes. The hostel is well run. The self-catering kitchen is orderly and clean.

Great location::We were walking the cumbria way, and if one wants to stay in this area, there are not many other possibilities. Would stay again just because of the very convenient location making planning a multiday walk a lot easier. Cosy hangout area around bar. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very noisy in eating area due to bad acoustics. Kitchen not very clean. Too many kids being annoying. Tables in eating area not even clean before breakfast. The room was way too hot during the night. Beds were not comfortable - even for bunkbeds they were below standard. Not great value since we only paid maginally less for staying two persons i a private room than we pay for staying in nice b&b's with good breakfast included.

Excellent Stay. Loved it!!!

We like the Comfort and facilites. The location was perfect and beautiful. Facilities were great.

We didn't like the continental breakfast for that price. It was expected to be a bit more than what was offered.

Perfect location for exploring

Location was perfect for exploring! The hostel bar area was cosy and the staff were friendly.

My only comment would be that with the showers being communal it did mean that they weren’t the cleanest.

Excellent from the accommodation to the food

The location was close to the activity we had planned the breakfast was spot on and the room was everything we needed for a good nights sleep. I'm in my late sixty's so I had a preconception of what to expect but it was nothing like it everything far exceeded what I thought. I would quiet happily recommend using the YHA.

Thanks for a great trip!

Staff were brilliant so friendly and helpful Amazing location!! The room was a great size, excellent facilities and the food was just what we needed after a big hike.

It is an expensive hostel which limits how often we can go
