Wonderful experience

Great hotel with a lot of history. We will be back

Staff were great. Room was great. Location at the end of the Avenue was perfect as the hotel is located just at the end of the Avenue. Close to champagne houses and easy to walk to everything.

Very bad experience and customer service, NO INTERNET in the rooms, Book the IBIS Hotel in town

on 19 December 2022 booked a prestige room on Booking. com on the basis of the pictures on their site and description which included a walk in shower which was essential because of my husband mobility tissues. the hotel refused to give us that particular room and offered a much inferior, smaller and without the shower. we managed to get the room that we had booked, by being forced to pay 70 euros on top of the rate offered by Booking. com. Then we discovered that the room had no radiators and was icy cold. on our request two electric heaters were placed in the room, but they were set to max temperature of 18 and 22 degrees. not enough to heat a sizeable room on a cold December night. on top of all that we were only given one bath towel which we had to share. Given all the above I don’t think that the room commanded the rate of 310 euro per night. breakfast not included.

Great location right among the champagne houses and only a 20 min walk into Epernay

Air-conditioning was not working for the duration of our stay. The hotel then offered us a portable air-conditioning unit for our room which was very noisy and made it hard to sleep. We were staying at the hotel for our honeymoon, it would have been nice if this was acknowledged by the hotel given the price!!

As always lovely hotel and perfect staff

location is perfect, so close to the street for all your tastings and the main town for breakfast/brunch if you didn’t want to eat in the hotel. rooms are always immaculate and spacious

only 2 issues and one is very minor that being the pillows. french pillows are more square and decorative rather than a nice big rectanglar one for sleeping on. the AC appears to not be working in some rooms and instead an additional standalone unit is placed in the room, in our 1st room this meant the second patio door was not able to be closed/locked and in comparision to the usual AC is very noisy when on.

location and comfort of bed

hidden charges everywhere ... parking extra without advance notice...while literally on the street parking is free ...room rate of 420€ doesn’t include breakfast??? if at least the breakfast was good... but it was the cheapest meat and cheese straight from the supermarket packaging ... fruit tea was roiboss tea, the list of horrors is endless when it comes to the quality of “food”

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, room was spotless and spacious (including the en-suite bathroom). The bed was very comfortable and the decor was nice for the style of hotel. Breakfast was delicious and had a good selection of buffet foods.

We were charged for parking which we felt was rather cheeky considering the rooms are a premium for being a 5* hotel.

Room was exposed to noise of busy road, very small double bed with uncomfortablnylon covers/cushions

The building itself is beautiful. I suppose if you are crazy about champagne and just need a place to stay after visiting a ton of Champagne houses, this is ideal.

No grounds whatsoever, busy road, bad views. Bad value for money.
