We enjoyed our stay , great place to relax

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the water. Beach was right across the road. Service and staff were excellent. A very nice hotel, enjoyed our stay.
You have to rent beach towels 10E / day, that is outrages for a beach resort with pool. I was mislead by booking.com about the in room save, They lead me to believe it was included, it was not!! It is alittle far to walk to town but can be done.

The location was what we expected and one of the reasons we chose this particular property.
The room layout was unusual and i found it dark and depressing. The kitchen facilities couldn't be described as kitchen facilities, basically a hot plate and a small pan to make a hot drink. I didn't feel the staff had a presence, didn't really engage or ask if things were ok.
Towards the end of our holiday, we asked if we were able to keep the room we were staying in until 6pm or a bit earlier if the room was needed. We had a late flight and transport wasn't collecting us until 9pm. We had observed a couple, who had the apartment next to us, arrange the use of an alternative room on the day they left. The room appeared to be a basement type of room and i didn't observe that it was used throughout our stay apart from this particular couple, as mentioned. The day before we were leaving i ask the receptionist about a late check out or the use of another room, obviously i was willing to pay for it's use. Initially she said there wasn't anything available but then she re-checked and said there was something available and to come to reception in the morning. The cost, i was informed would be 40 euros. The following day i approached the reception and mentioned the room etc. It was a different receptionist and she informed me there wasn't a room available. I explained what the previous receptionist had said but she still insisted there wasn't a room. I was frustrated to say the least but added to this wad the fact my partner had been unwell the previous two days and needed somewhere to rest. I appreciate it's not their responsibility, however the lack of care or willingness to help was incredibly unhelpful and disappointing. I was told that he needs to stay out of the sun and that was it.
We had a long day sitting by the pool, my partner resting on a sun lounger in the shade. The room we had observed the other couple use had remained empty all day and evening.
I did not find it a friendly or helpful place.

The staff is very nice and the Hotel is very clean. There is a beach right in front of the hotel and can be accessed by just crossing the road.
The hotel was not worth the price, the rooms and bathroom is small, the kitchenette is actually a cupboard and it lacks facilities. The beach in front of the hotel is small and gets full after 10 AM. The transport to Agios Nikolaos is difficult and there is nothing else nearby except two restaurants.

The location was perfect just a few meters from the beach. The breakfast was nice, the property very clean and the staff very friendly. The area with the pool was nice as well.
The price they told us when we called was much higher than the one booking offered which cannot be justified by the property. For a 4 star hotel, the bathroom could be a bit better, but the main issue was that the rooms were not sound proof at all. We could here the neighbors like we were sharing the same appartement. This is something that for sure needs to be fixed in order to provide high quality of services.

The hotel is located in Ammoudara, about 10 minutes drive/taxi from Agios Nikolaos. if you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is your place. The sea side is literally in front of the hotel, a couple of good restaurants and a mini market complete the setting, other than that there is road and you will need a car to get anywhere else. The hotel is relatively small, a good point if you are not into big crowded hotels. One of the key pluses of this hotel, however, is the staff. We felt at home, everyone from the reception to waiters and cleaning services was friendly. The staff works really hard, often with very long shifts, but you can feel the passion and commitment, bravo! The pool, while small, was well kept but please pay attention to non hotel guests coming to the pool (happened only once but these guests were quite not respectful)
Please fix the Wi-Fi, it didn’t work most of the time. The breakfast is ok but somewhat limited and tends to be repetitive especially for longer stays. Suggestion: Coffees such as cappuccino should not be charged extra during breakfast for hotels in the 4* category.

The staff, the access to the beach, the location, the snacks and food.
Although we booked superior double rooms, when we arrived we were placed in rooms for 2/7 nights that were dark and dingy, with a broken shower door and no view. We asked to move and we were given much nicer rooms for 5/7 nights, although these were not together.

The friendliest staff and owners , the restaurant across the road has always fresh fish and very good prices , very popular with locals and hotel guests ! Breakfast very good selection with homemade Cretan pies and offers a good selection of other stuff & juices / coffee! Location at night is very quiet which we enjoyed, very short drive to agios nikolaos
Liked every thing about this place

Pleasant resort hotel across a manageable road from its own beach. Rooms were clean and comfortable; staff was friendly and informative.
I missed the customary feta cheese at breakfast, but nothing else was lacking.

Everything was ok but it felt like the hotel was just about to close at the end of the season. Rooms clean and tidy, very few staff, also very few guests. Therefore, breakfast is served (not self-service) and therefore also a limited choice.

The hotel is a 40 min walk into town along a stretch of road without any pavement for pedestrians, or 9€ in a taxi.
There's not alot to do in the evening around the hotel so we opted for taxi's.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The sunbeds on the beach are free to use and the hotel has a taverna on the beach with beach service.
The food was average.
The service was good.
The breakfast was poor.
There wasn't many plug sockets in the room meaning we had to unplug lamps to plug in our phone chargers.

The very warm, informative welcome and kindness from Kristulla who carried our 20kg suitcase upstairs due to the lift being out of order! 😬
The kind attention and extra good service of Babbis, who looked after our appetites each evening at the Faedra’s own beach restaurant.
A short but great start to our Cretan stay. Thank you!
Francesca and Chiara 😊

Almost everything was excellent. The room was clean and well decorated especially balcony. We had a nice breakfast every day: there was all you need. The sand beach is nearby. By the way that beach is one of the best I’ve seen there. If you want it takes about 5 minutes by bus to get to Agios Nikolaos, the divine city to spend time in the evening! Staff was friendly and helpful. I get bored.
The sea water was always quite cool for me, on other beaches it was warmer. Buses to the city center were always late so passengers waited for them for a long time.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean with plenty of space for a quick stay.
Just across from the beach, very accessible.
The room seemed new or recently renovated, but whatever of the two is true it didn't appear to have happened with care. There was no attention to decorating the room and it felt as a newly rented apartment. I would suggest they invest into creating a more pleasant environment.
The breakfast did not provide too many options.
