Albergo molto bello e comodo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
La posizione è in una zona non molto centrale però in un quartiere bello, locale, e con alcuni bar, negozi e ristoranti.

Location with shops and restaurants nearby
Had a room on 2nd floor stairs very steep

Nothing!
On arrival after 12pm, were notified that we needed to walk to another hotel. The booking was not for the Cairn hotel but another hotel nearby. Very run down, uncomfortable room. Very poor breakfast - we left and had breakfast at a nearby cafe

Everything! Staff excellent food outstanding
There was nothing to not like

Breakfast very good, the restaurant staff very poilte and helpfull.
The room was above Spy Bar in a diffent building to the main reception. You could hear the very loud music till 11pm, but we knew this before we booked.
The bar staff in the Spy Bar are a bit ignorant. They ignored us and seemed to serve people who they knew even though we were in the queue before them.
We also asked the Spy Bar staff for food plates, but were told they didn't have any. Considering they serve food at the Bar was a bit surprising. I had to go to the main reception where the lady apologised and said she would follow it up.

We always love our stay at cairn we are up every two weeks at the moment due to having some treatment at freemans hospital. We find the beds so comfortable, staff lovely and rooms nicely done out.
This stay we found our room not to the same standard. The TV wasn’t tuned to over 1/2 of the channels, no towel rail in the bathroom. Just a little in need of deep clean on upholstery and curtains.
3.0
Water leaking in the room, complicated room locations, unsupportive staff.

Location was good.
Paid for the Cairn Hotel but got put across the road in the Carlton. Room was unbearably hot on the top floor, tiny fan to blow around hot air, no air con or draft coming through the window which was covered in bird mess and the smell of kitchen grease coming from the restaurants below when we opened it, pigeons flapping around all the time too even at 6am in the morning and trying to enter the window. All red stains over the duvet (Looked like blood). When asked to change room they said there were none available even though there were listings available on Booking.com and to just lay on top of the quilt if we were warm (We were anyways). Even the fridge wasn't cold. Definitely the worst sleep and hotel experience I've ever had. Never again.

Comfortable rooms, excellent customer service, with a bonus of free parking as well. A good place to stay for the Great North Run with just a 30 min walk to the start. Some rooms are in the building over the road above the pub. Although some reviews here complain of noise - it's stops at 11pm so doesn't really disrupt sleep.
Some hooks or a towel rail in the bathroom would have been nice!

The service from the staff was lovely, especially the female receptionist.
The heat. Accessibility. Being over the road from the main hotel. Pictures don’t look like the rooms.

The breakfast was good but not outstanding.
The confusion between reception and the restaurant and subsequently being challenged on whether I’d actually paid or not.

Our second stay at the Cairn and no complaints. Friendly staff at reception on arrival and leaving, Our room was again nice and quiet and also cosy. We stayed Fri and Sat nights and no problems with noise, even with there being a home game on! . Definitely be back a third time!, 😊

Additional heater in the room was very welcome. Food in the hotel is very good. Staff are lovely. Very close to other restaurants. Very handy for the Hospital.
Room was noisy, every door slams shut! Parking is a nightmare!
