Nice cozy and comfortable
Booked room for 2 adults but was set up for 1 with only 1 towel,1 glass and 1 hand towel

Spacious room and an ideal motorway pit stop
Lacking bedside plug usb sockets.

Location was good for where I wanted to be. Electric car charging available. Room was clean, tidy, warm with a nice view over the river. Food was good
Evening dinner menu limited and overpriced. Leek and chicken pie was very sparce on chicken, bulked out with carrots! Carrots were served with other vegetables. Despite this the food was hot and nice flavour. Breakfast table service was very slow.
Decor, especially skirting boards in the restaurant, need a freshen up

Evening meal was disappointing. Slow service and vegetables inedible.

Location
The property was outdated and severely needs to be refurbished.

Breakfast, at £22 per person, was ridiculously expensive and for the two of us would have added 50% to the cost of our room! So we did not have breakfast at the hotel.

good breakfast. Staff helpful. Bed was fine.
Room too hot and it was noisy, fans outside 246. No info in room. outside now very tired and needing lots of repairs. Bathroom door badly broken.

Friendly staff, nice location by river
Needs a revamp

The restaurant was very pleasant. Modern and clean. Breakfast staff very friendly. Lovely outlook.
Reception not very welcoming. Dark and gloomy as well as the rooms. Bathroom so small, towel was given one for two people and it had seen better days! As it was advertised as having a lift I didn’t ask for a disabled room but to get to the lift you had to go down stairs.

Although the chef did not appear to prepare breakfast, the staff did their best to cover in his absence.
Being offered the same sausage for breakfast as I had for dinner the previous evening.

Lovely comfortable room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Food was amazing.
Stairs down to the lift made it difficult for me with a pushchair and bags, although staff did help on my initial arrival.
6.0
Staff were pleasant and service good, especially at breakfast. Filtered water dispenser by the lift is a nice idea. Room was spacious & bed was comfortable.
Lack of attention to detail in respect of cleanliness. Mirrors and shower glass were smeared, there was mould in the shower cubicle and both the water glasses & the table they were stood on were dusty. Both evening dinner menu and the drinks selections were limited & overpriced.
1.0
Bed was fairly comfortable
No proper flushing loo in the room
Mould up the wall in bathroom
Bath difficult to get in and out of
Dirty sheets not changed despite room service
Extortionate pricing for poor quality food
Tiny food portions in restraunt
Rude staff on reception
Breakfast pretty awful overcooked eggs, raw bacon, stale bread. Fermenting fruit salad.
Extra £5 charges for anything on breakfast menu that's not a "cooked breakfast" or porridge. Even if the food were well cooked it would be a rip off.
An eye watering £7 for 2 pots of tea in lounge area where we were forced to wait because after a long and difficult journey we were told by reception staff our room would not be ready till 3.00pm. No effort was made to see if we could have it a little earlier. No offer to store our luggage as specified on your website
Reception staff having an informal chat with a second member of staff on our arrival ( obviously of a personal nature) we were stood waiting for quite a long time until the lady on reception decided to acknowledge we were there.
Staff very sparse with long waits at the bar, resteraunt and at breakfast leaving it unmanned until a member of staff decided to come along.
The whole hotel looks tired with peeling paint and old tatty furniture.
Very very shabby.
Not at all happy 😞

My room was infested with thousands of flys checking in and had to change rooms upon arrival at 3.45 am!!!

the location
The hotel is very tired, even if you check in at 5pm you will not be able to eat there until around 8. This has been my experience over about 5 visits.

all in all was a great stay, stayed there before on many occasion, excellent
nothing not to like

The lady on reception when I checked in was very efficicent and helpful
My room, 107, was in a poor state of repair and very old and tired. This started with the door handle that was falling off. The room had not been aired for a long time and smelt musty. The lights in the bathroom flickered on and off constantly. Although there were 3 towels in the room all of them were stained. The wall either side of the bed had been bashed and there was bare plaster flaking off. However, worst of all was the black line of scum around the soap pump dispenser in the bathroom.
None of these things were bad enough on their own but the culmination caused me to complain. When I did the gentleman on reception just offered an apology. No suggestion that something could be sorted and when I asked if I could move rooms I was greeted with a look of surprise and a reply off "Sorry that won’t be possible, all I can offer is an apology" when I asked him to make a note of my complaint, he replied "I am sorry, I will do it later" whilst he carried on working, there wasn’t even eye contact made. I was left totally dis-satisfied with the interaction. I will not be returning.

Overpriced breakfast.

Absolutely brilliant place we had booked a room somewhere else but had it cancelled last minute due to a double booking so we looked as we were going to an event in Blackburn Whitton Park about 6 mile away we found this place and was amazed it was so Cheap for what we paid we dropped the car off at about 11 ish and got a taxi to the event and came home around 10.30 ish we checked in an was absolutely nakard from the event ordered some food reception took it in for us and we slept really well staff were brilliant from when we arrived to when we left will be back next year for sure
Only thing was the price of the breakfast at 16 pound each needs it was a little high for our budget but that's not down to the staff it's the price that has been issued by hotel just a little above our budget that's all hopefully it can be looked at so more can enjoy this lovely hotel

Good access from Mway.
Grubby public areas.
Poor breakfast with extra payment required for many items.
Indifferent staff
Only one towel and mug, plus two pillows for two guests. Had to call reception to get more.
Cheap but not pleasant place to stay.
Dinner is poor value and limited options, with very small portions.
Won't be back.
