Exceptional value for money.
Central location.
Delicious Breakfast.
Good parking
Historic and very beautiful hotel which is exactly to our taste.
Very small room which was fine for just 2 nights. Also understandable for the amount paid.

Location on the High St is very convenient for visiting Abbey and shops. Pleasant riverside walks directly from the hotel car park.
Bedrooms are spacious and very nicely furnished with modern bathrooms

Extras in room - not only kettle, tea, milk but coffee machine with pods. Breakfast really good, staff excellent. Central location great

Our room was really comfortable and roomy with several nice touches: a radio playing quietly, a table lamp, and a pillow spray. The food was excellent, particularly the breakfast.
The hotel managers, James and Kelly, were very helpful and friendly.
The service at dinner could have been improved. The two waitresses were run off their feet.

Very comfortable bed.
Didn't like the shower over the bath, although it worked well enough.

Great location in town centre. Very quirky hotel with exceptional furnishings. Lots of little rooms for a relaxing drink or just to sit and chill. Fan,ironing board,TV, and radio, 2 games and lovely prints on the wall in bedroom.
Absolutely nothing. If I had to say one thing it would be that being on the front passing people could see you upstairs in the bathroom. Had to have blind up to get fresh air as it was a hot day.

Beautiful old building, friendly staff.
Disappointed with the restaurant fare - it was okay but nothing special.

Breakfast was good. Choice of eggs was excellent and Ful English available plus continental options. Rooms have been recently refurbished to an excellent standard.
A few tricky steps for anyone with walking difficulties. Fine for people of average ability. Not a complaint just a comment.

Staff were excellent. Bathroom very new and large for the size of room. Comfortable easy chair. Public rooms very well set out. Quirky and characterful place to stay in the heart of the town
Car park entrance and parking spaces very tight

gorgeous building, lovely staff, good parking facilities & location!
our window (when open) made a banging noise that’s all

A lovely hotel with helpful friendly staff. Very good breakfast
Our room 110 was directly over a service room. We were woken at 6 am with the service door constantly slamming shut. Reception told us that it was goods being delivered and we have asked them to make sure that the door is not slammed. The simple solution would be to put a soft close mechanism on the door. It was a shame because it spoilt our experience.

What's not to like? The hotel building is incredible, the staff were friendly and very helpful, the location is excellent, and the food is great. I'd highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely be staying there again.

very nice and comfortable room, great food and friendly and attentive staff.
bathroom was a little on the small side, would have been better to have black out blinds

Nice courtyard room but very small.

A really comfortable and quiet room, well furnished and decorated with charm and warmth, radiating history and eras gone by. A great restaurant and a great place to sit in the parlour room. The staff were happy and enjoyed working there
The parking area looked like it would always be full except for being lucky

the property was in a perfect position in town free car parking the room was overlooking the river & was beautiful the staff were exceptional efficient & the hotel was fabulous beautiful decor food was lovely & plentiful
the drinks were a bit pricey although u were in the centre of Tewksbury so obviously drinks would be more expensive for a premium hotel

Breakfast staff were lovely and accommodating.
Bedroom floor was on a slant, which was understandable as its an old property but not easy to navigate when you're losing your balance. Some of the breakfast choices were unavailable. Lamp in room wasn't working so it was pretty dark

The service for breakfast was poor.
On our first morning we were seated away from the other guests as it was busy and therefore felt that we were forgotten, it took some time to get the attention of a waitress. Also we had to find salt, pepper, sauces ourselves. Tables were not cleared away from previous guests breakfasts around us.
The second morning we made sure that we were seated in the main area so the service as better, however, we could see the same problem was happening to other guests who were seated away from the main area.

The Receptionist ‘Ellie’ was an absolute breath of fresh air, very quickly booked in, also had time to have a little chat. A very bubbly and pleasant receptionist and nothing was to much trouble for her (however don’t mention spiders to her) a very articulate and professional young lady. (She was 5 star). Carol on the breakfast session was also very pleasant and did her absolute best to ensure things went as best as they could given the problems with chiefs and food delivery ( no hash browns). The Coaching Group really need to get things sorted or the hotel will suffer.
The standard of the refurbishment was of a good standard, being sympathetic to the age of the building.
The breakfasts and the evening meal was poor. This was due to the two chiefs walking out on our first night (for whatever reason) then the kitchen had to be run by a ‘Bank’ chief from another venue who struggled on every meal for the following 3 days. Waiting excessive amount of time for food to arrive on the table. No hash browns at breakfast although on the full English menu. Also the evening meals two items were not available for whatever reason. The ordinary locals tend to avoid the Tudor House to eat or drink because the costs have increased far to high in comparison to other food and drink outlets. (And over the 4 days we spoke to a variety of local people some who lived in town and some who lived outside of town so a wide range).

We stayed in the gazebo annex in a lovely large room with sofa area. Netflix available on Tv. Very clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast and amazing Sunday roast. We had a super relaxing stay. The abbey was 5 minutes walk along with other historical sites.

Staff were first-rate. We arrived the evening of their belated Christmas party but they all were keen to impress on us that we could ask them for anything, including turning the music down (it wasn't an issue), and could even join the party if we wanted (we didn't!). Great welcoming service the following morning too. Coaching Inns should give them a do elsewhere so they can relax and not have to worry about guests - they deserve it!
Room 107 was a bit stuffy. Cask beer wasn't on as it was party time but I wasn't going to have a pint there so not really a problem! Oh, and someone 30/40 years ago built an awful shopping area across the road. Perhaps not a dealbreaker...
