We had a fabulous time at Tudor House Hotel, this is our third year visiting here. We like to stay near Christmas as the hotel is very atmospheric and beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and welcoming and very helpful. We stayed in a four poster bed room and we even had our own Christmas tree in the gorgeous, spacious room.

We enjoyed the old feel of the place with genuine wooden beams and prints of Tudor royalty.
the combined coffee shop/bar/ restaurant/ breakfast area worked well

Old Tudor hotel in centre of Tewkesbury. Although you got the feel of a Tudor property, the rooms & bathrooms have been refurbished with modern fittings, & walk in showers. No lifts & bedrooms over two floors so there can be quite a few steps. All staff very friendly, helpful & polite. Bar closed 10.30pm even for residents Thursday which was a surprise. Night porter had to let us in & just said most places close 10.30pm mid week. Most hotels I stay at serve to residents, even if it is just night porter serving drinks.
Eco friendly, with eco setting on shower & option to skip the daily clean. As we were there three nights we just skipped clean as bathroom towel rail dried towels.
Breakfast cooked fresh & was very good with fresh fruit, pastries, cereals & several choices of hot food as well as juices & fresh coffee etc.
Evening meal on other hand left a lot to be desired. The pie was recommended by the waitress, but we were very disappointed, as was another guest we were talking to at breakfast. Fair play to the management though, when he heard how the pie was described, what was served & how we all felt about it, he refunded the meal without hesitation. He promised to find out what went wrong as he was genuinely surprised. I have no doubt, the pie will be much better if we stay again on our next trip to the races. The hotel is ideally placed on the high street with lots of shops, bars, restaurants and the river, all nearby. I would happily stay at the hotel again.

I had a lovely stay at the Tudor House Hotel
The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good and the room was comfortable
I had booked a single room with a single bed but was pleasantly surprised to see I had been given a double bed.
Overall I would stay here again

Lovely hotel, the room had everything that you could want and was furnished to a very high sta dard, as is the rest of the hotel. . The double bed in the classic room is enormous !
Staff were very friendly.

Management and staff made us feel welcome right from the start - this continued throughout our stay. Room was excellent but, if you stay here, you need to be aware it is an old building and all surfaces are typical for the age - ie, not level - but we found this added to the character. Breakfast was tasty and set us up for the day. A fabulous couple of days and we look forward to returning.

This is a woderful hotel which is in the centre of town, and remains full of character and history. The staff were warm and welcoming and after a long and somewhat awful journey gave us a room upgrade. Our bedroom was spacious and very comgortable with exposed beams and a lovely bed. First class

Excellent 2 night stay. Staff brilliant;friendly and efficient. Room was lovely with quality furnishings, bedlinen and towels.
The hotel apparently has had a recent £1million refurbishment and certainly seems to outclass other hotels we saw in the town.
Would happily return.

Decor and furnishings all in keeping with the Tudor theme. Food was excellent. Staff very helpful and pleasant. No lift - so check suitability if you cannot manage stairs.

This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel. The staff are some of the best I have ever encountered.
The room was really lovely and it was so convenient for us to take the dog out.
The breakfast was perfect. Would definitely recommend .

Our 2 night stay was excellent, all staff seemed very nice in particular the manager where nothing seemed too much trouble and he made you feel welcome.
Would definitely stay again.

Good hotel wspecially if you like Tudor history!

Very smartly refurbished historic building. Our room was a little on the small side with tiny windows - but not a lot they could about that.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very nicely equipped. We especially liked the small finishing touches - like the digital radio and the pressure operated bathroom light.
We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food.

Good internet.
Room safe would be a great addition.

Wonderfully restored Inn, fab room, nice touches like a dab radio & bathroom lighting that senses you. The food was great & our dogs even got a sausage at breakfast :-)
Comfortable bed but if like me you're asthmatic, do check the duvet isn't feather. They happily changed it though at 11pm.!
My only criticisms are the limited parking & the hooks in the bathroom are too high for anyone under 5ft6!
The Inn is part of a group & I'll definitely be staying in others as well as here again.

Love the hotel but car park is limited. Got in first night but not second.
Love the low , sensor light in the bathroom but think i was visited last night as it came on, on its own a couple of times 👻 lol
TV as very few channels but great having DAB 📻 so i could listen to planet rock instead.
Little entertainment out the window last night

We stayed in a double room at the back of the property with a view of the river. The room was very well equipped with tea, coffee and biscuits as well as a bottle of water for both of us. There was ample hanging space in the wardrobe and a large cupboard if needed. The bathroom was sizeable with a bath with overhead shower. Located in the centre of Tewkesbury it was convenient. We didn't eat here as we have relatives we were visiting but we did look at the menu and felt it looked good and was a reasonable price. We would choose to stay here again.

Just a niggle really but our room was too hot - a tiny dormer window in roof, in a very small room. Didn’t sleep well.
