The food was lovely.
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the mattress was too small/short for the base.

location.
Durty carpet room smells bad, freezing, and the toilet not working properly, very cheap and not of good quality toilet paper. Very disappointed me!

It’s near the station
They do not have a working lift and there a huge number of stairs between each floor! You have to boil the kettle on the floor as there is no plug that reaches the table. There was no bulb in the light fitting, the bathroom is very small, there is no air conditioning and you can’t open the window, the left luggage room is not secure etc

Central location close to rail, bus and shopping centre
My room was very dated. Shower temperature didn’t adjust which unfortunately was very hot. Our lift was out of order and I was on 3rd floor.

The hard working staff are a credit to this business. Our large room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Overall it's a traditional Hotel and exceptional value for money.

Great location right across the road from the train station. Breakfast was enjoyable with lots of hot and cold choices. My room on the second floor had a large window and a nice view of Aberdeen.
My room was absolutely nothing like the photos on Booking.com for the room I booked. It was totally devoid of any decoration and was very dated. The carpet was spongy and the old, dark brown furniture (wardrobe, desk, chair and bedside tables) was badly chipped and scratched. The bathroom tiles were chipped, the chipboard around the bath was broken and the sink taps leaked. Nearby rooms were being renovated while I was there and there was constant noise and tradesmen coming and going with building supplies etc.

The location was good and the breakfast was decent.
1st room didn't have WiFi.
2nd room, the bathroom radiator could not be closed thus it was very hot in the bathroom.
We gave up on asking for a 3rd room.
Almost got a parking ticket because the hotel reception did not process my car correctly when checking in. It was solved afterwards when I have to make some phone calls.
Overall feeling of old and poor maintained hotel.

Lack of food at breakfast

Old-fashioned hotel close to the city centre. The room was clean and the staff was nice.
Although there is parking at the back of the hotel, it is quite small, so I had to stay at paid parking about 250 m away. Some part of the hotel needs restoration.

We loved the size of the bedroom, the huge bathroom with the roll top bath, and, the separate shower cubicle. The chairs were both very comfortable too.
The breakfast could be better organised. Queues waiting for breakfast items to be refilled.

Location was good. Parking was easy. Breakfast was yummy. Nice fresh fruit.
Full bed was a bit soft and for 3 friends traveling a bit small, so didn't sleep well.

Hotel is in the centre of Aberdeen. Stayed here a few times before. Great location. Upgraded to a superior room which is finished to a very high standard.
The floorboards are very creeky and its so noisy going to the bathroom during the night that I woke my partner up.

The staff at breakfast were lovely & cheery & couldn’t do enough for you
The room we were allocated on arrival was disgusting. The carpet was stained & the wallpaper had been ripped off the wall. We went back to reception and we were allocated another room on the 3rd floor. The corridor outside of our room smelt of sewage 🤢Another guest bought air freshener to try and disguise the smell. The hotel from the back is very run down

electric sockets were few and miss placed in the room
