Spacious room, lots of parking, well located. Faded grandeur.
Spring sticking out the side of the mattress, sockets by the desk not working. Grounds and hotel need some maintenance work to bring them back to a good standard.
3.6
The room was lovely. The whole building is very rustic and is beautiful throughout.
The breakfast could be a little more substantial.
3.6
Excellent shower
Very good breakfast
some parts looked a bit shabby - in need of decoration
3.6
The room wasn't clean. There was a brown stain on the carpet next to the bed which I can only hope was chocolate. There were stains on the sheets and stains on the towels. The bathroom wasn't clean. The corners of the room had cobwebs and spiders in it, as if it hadn't been dusted in a while. I ultimately decided to check out after only one night and go to another hotel.
3.6
The location and style of yhe hotel.
The constant dripping shower. I mentioned this to the cleaner.
3.6
Lovely building and grounds, well located to the centre of Quorn. Friendly staff, well decorated and warm throughout
Some facilities and equipment do show signs of age, but all are clean and remain functional

Breakfast
No towels or pillows in one of the rooms. The other room had not had the bins emptied or the bath cleaned. The window arm / lock was broken. We booked dinner in advance and asked to pre-order GF options. They emailed us a menu with GF options and said fine to order on the evening. When we checked in we offered to pre-order early and again told no need. We arrived at our table as booked at 19:00. By 19:45 no one had been to take our food or drink orders.
We asked a staff member who apologized and then admitted they could not work the bar. My son helped her take the drinks order and the payment before he then poured the drinks (he works the bar in a 5* hotel).
We ordered the food and at 20:25 the starters arrived.10 mins after they were cleared we were advised that the GF mains we had ordered were not available. The menu we had been sent was not from the chef and our only option was a burger. This then took another 30 mins whilst the rest of the table was brought theirs 20 mins before.
We wanted to order more drinks and again after ordering them we had to help pour them our selves. It took 6 attempts to find a clean wine glass.
We did receive an apology from one of the staff members and it was clear they were running on shoe string staff.
They advertised as a 4 star hotel but they are rated as a 3 star and lucky to be that!
Really disappointed.

Great location, curb appeal, parking, room was very comfortable
Restuarant food and service was disappointing, very glad I cancelled breakfast.
I ordered 3 starters for dinner.
Fishcake, looked like it was shop bought and heated.
Camembert cheese was served with 1 tiny bread roll, asked for another which never arrived.
Fish/Chicken goujons was so dry I'm still not sure which they were.
Thankfully reception gave me a couple more biscuits for the room.

Very friendly and helpful staff
Booked a suite, but it was just a slightly larger room with a double bed. Shouldn’t be advertised as a suite.
3.6
It had everything needed for 1 night. The room was dark, the blinds blackout morning light very well.
We could not check in earlier and we had to get ready for a wedding. The bed was uncomfortable, just ok as it was for 1 night. Toilet paper felt cheap
3.6
The setting was lovely, nice river to go and sit by outside.
Staff were unfriendly, wasn't informed that there would be an event on the Saturday night - directly below our room. We had to listen to a full on brass band playing until 1am. When we checked out on the Monday morning there was no staff member available to complain to, apart from a young lad who clearly didn't have the authority to deal with customer complaints. Not impressed with the lack of courtesy. We should have been given the opportunity to change rooms when we checked in. Will not be returning.

Comfortable and spacious rooms, easy access and friendly staff

Half portions for full english on second day!
Wonderful location
No shower curtain
No hot water at 7.30 am
No housekeeping planned for day two expected to do it myself until I complained.
Several light bulbs in room needed replacing
Curtains severley frayed

Location was good for our needs. Breakfast was ok. Iron and ironing board provided.
The room was dated, dirty and had extremely stained carpets. The nob on the shower was broken so it was unbearably hot and the bath had marks that looked like burns.. The room itself was extremely hot (18⁰ day). No high chairs for toddlers at breakfast. What looked like plug sockets near the bed were actually fake. No one around to speak to at check out.

Maria is a great asset to your hotel being both kind and helpful.
She sorted out the non arrival of tea and coffee and toilet roll, requested to early morning sunday day staff as only enough for one person on friday night and as my son was unable to join me on sat and sunday there should have been enough for two people in a Twin Room particularly as I stayed for three nights
Individual breakfast as only about six people staying overnight on last day (Monday) was excellent.
On Sunday breakfast was cold and had to ask for it to be reheated. Heaters not on English breakfast dishes on sat or sunday.
The place is tired and light switches in my room didn't work and personal reading lamp was loose.
Revamp long overdue.

Large, spacious room with comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of storage space and excellent shower. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent location for our needs. Quorn is a pretty village with several charming pubs and restaurants nestled in the lovely Leicestershire countryside and Loughborough town.
3.6
The location was lovely and the staff were all attentive, helpful and professional.
The rooms and dining room are tired and need an overhaul.
3.6
Where the hotel was, gardens, parking.
The bed was really uncomfortable, the pillows were terrible and the shower did not work well.
3.6
Got married at the property
3.6
Beautiful surroundings and a very good sized room.
Not enough staff and those that were there seemed to be rushed off their feet.
No atmosphere in the reception and bar area; some Muzak perhaps would help?!
3.6
Lovely quiet location. Hearty breakfast, plenty of choice!
Room was so hot (I appreciate it was during a hot spell). Despite opening the windows, couldn't cool the room down and our towel radiator was constantly on in the bathroom!
Bed was far too soft, but that is personal preference!

spacious room beautiful setting

nothing…. dirty and rude
that it was not as advertised…. rooms not clean …. no tissues toilet roll not replaced … not given rooms that we booked weeks in advance…. over all experience horrific

Breakfast was very good. Cooked to order rather than a buffet style. Much prefer being served.
The room did not have air conditioning so the room was very warm through the night. The grounds are lovely but could do with some wooden benches with backs so that you can sit and relax in the grounds.
3.6
Location to University. Easy parking.
Quiet.
Have stayed before

We had a lovely weekend at the hotel and the staff were very attentive and helpful. It was my birthday and my friends have asked staff to make a fuss at our dinner at the hotel. They went the extra mile and made my day very special. The hotel was very clean and peaceful.
3.6
Friendly reception and bar staff. Great location with free parking and waitrose nearby. The grounds really beautiful. The orchard play area near by really nice for kids.
Water in tap burning hot. Shower curtains need replacing. Toilet roll holder loose. Carpets worn out. The stairs to access the room are steep (warning in place)
3.6
Food, facilities, ease of stay. Staff were very helpful, the service was excellent. We enjoyed the food; breakfast choices and dinner menu. Bedroom was very comfortable with all amenities necessary for an enjoyable stay.

Comfy clean spacious room

Bathroom looked nice but sink didn't drain well and the toilet roll holder was wobbly
Breakfast was nice but would prefer a menu so we knew the options, also no coffee or butter on arrival
