Not our first visit and hope it won't be our last!
Love this place! Been twice before (2007 and 2018) in ski season so this was our first stay in summer. The hotel has modernised and grown over the years but still the same friendly reception.
Nothing.

Globally nice but quite overpriced
On the plus side: buffet breakfast good, without being outstanding, room spacious, position far from everything but allowing an amazing star sighting in the night and a few trekking trails nearby, personnel kind and professional (they allowed for late checkout).
On the minus side: room quite basic, access to spa upon charge of 80€/d for 2 people for a few hours only, spa opening time till 19 only, water offered at arrival was charged at departure, high voltage cable just in front of the hotel (you can hear them frying…)

Dissapointing for a 4-star hotel, and a logistical nightmare
The newer part of the building is very nicely decorated, and most of the staff are warm and friendly.
Don’t stay in this hotel if you don’t have a car - it’s a massive pain to organise transportation. The snow cat that takes you to/from the hotel is in Pont Serrant which is a village that’s not walkable to La Thuile (the road is a highway with no pedestrian sidewalk or shoulder) and there’s no public transport to go there. The staff were not knowledgeable about where we could store luggage or get to La Thuile, as the snow cat could only take our luggage down at 8am or 5pm on check out day. It honestly gave me a lot of anxiety trying to make sure we could get to/leave the hotel without being stuck in the cold with our luggage. The hotel do inform you about the snow cat, but not until after you’ve booked. Part of the hotel is new, but the majority of the rooms are in an old wooden building and are very basic. Some of the hotel policies are also very strange and disappointing for a 4-star hotel. For example, guests are provided a new bathrobe every day but no bath towels. When I requested a bath towel, the receptionist stated that it would cost 5 EUR per towel. I’ve never been charged for a towel, even at a hostel or motel!

An exceptional stay in a really nice hotel
The hotel was really nice, the views were amazing, the staff was really kind and was paying close attention to the requests of the clients. The spa was well equipped and was beautiful. The breakfast was varied too.

Lovely comfy hotel, only accessible by ski, or skidoo
Breakfast was very. Good. The location was remote- up a mountain. The only way to get to the hotel is by snow cat or skidoo, and only before the piste opens or after they have shut. Unfortunately we hadn’t quite realised this. It would have been useful to know that you can ask the hotel to get the ski hire shop to deliver skis to the hotel, but that you have to give 24 hrs notice. The skidoo/ snowcat journey is complimentary when you arrive and leave, however it is 20euros if you want an extra trip( as we did to pick up our skis). We were lucky that our flights fitted in with the skiddo/snowcat ride, had we arrived in the middle of the day we would have had to wait in the town until the piste shut before we could get to the hotel. People need to be aware of this, before they book.
Clearer Information regarding getting to the hotel and how to rent skis.

We liked the restaurent, the food was good and portions were pretty big:) Modern and clean room with nice shower
The room was a little small for us and we were really warm. Another downside is the electric cables outside of the balcony that were making a lot of noise with running electricity in them. If you are sensitive to electromagnetism, this is not a hotel for you. Check google maps first.
