The design of the hotel and the size of the room
We book the suit the most expensive rooms and our surprise was to access to our room we have to climb a tinny stairs in metal outside the room which the night before it was raining… my girlfriend by slippery stairs fall down hitting the stair with her elbow getting injured and require medical attention.
The staff who was with us in that moment never care or try to help us to find medical care or even ask after that how she was.
During 2 days we have been in many pharmacies looking for drugs and treatments to decrease the inflammation and after that the deep infection inside the articulation of the elbow.
Once in Bangkok we are now visiting Xray to try to solve the problem… and no any feedback from the property.
Very sad to see so poor human care for someone who has been booking your best rooms.

Sehr nettes Personal, Parken in der kooperierenden Garage hat perfekt geklappt, der Blick auf den Hafen ist sensationell

Well located, excellent outlook onto the old port, pleasant property, nice breakfast room.
A little past its prime. Mattresses need replacing, bathrooms could do with a bit of a refresh, air con controls difficult to use.

Super séjour à la résidence du vieux port. Le personnel est très accueillant et souriant, la vue de la chambre est juste magnifique. Rien a dire, c'était parfait.

Location and staff. Bed very comfortable. Great view of port
Bit tired

The parking situation was very stressful.
GPS to the hotel takes you to a busy back street where there are no signage or parking to unload bags. So we double parked in another street!!
Staff the gave address to the car parking station but that was also incorrect and sent us down a dead end. Eventually we drove around the streets until we located it. The car park is a bit of a walk in the heat.

The view is spectacular. we loved our balcony room on the 6th floor, so spacious. the breakfast room is beautiful as well. we dined our first night in the restaurant, Le Relais, recognized by Michelin and excellent.
with the vieux harbor location you are walking distance to so much, from antiquities to ferries (across the st) to a million great restaurants to the opera etc. even the subway is nearby, and that mattered on a general strike day with protests when cabs could not get through.
street noise. there is a party-hearty vibe outside. not as bad as the French quarter in New Orleans, but very loud until late.

The location was fantastic, with views across the old port, looking up at Notre Dame de La Garde. Great people watching balcony. Although the room was small, it had all the comforts, including two comfortable chairs.
Breakfast was extensive, with high quality ingredients. There was also an honor bar set up in the lobby to make yourself cocktails. Great idea!
The lobby smelled bad most of the time, but luckily the smell did not carry to the upper floors or rooms.

Excellent location near metro, beside the harbour and old town
Great size rooms
Balcony view a bit impeded by design of balcony - need to stand up to fully enjoy it, can't appreciate full harbour view while sitting down

The location is great if you want to be where the action is. view from the window was excellent! There are so many great restaurants just outside the door, serving great food. There are also bakeries and fast food places close, if you are getting homesick. The room was really large, and confutable. By large the staff was multilingual and congenial in all interactions. They allowed me to stay late because of my late departure, but charged 100$ ( Fair, I think).
There was a mini bar fridge, but in my room at least was fake. There was no cooling power whatsoever to the little box. One day an employee, thinking I was gone because the light card was not plugged in, came into my place despite a do not disturb sign. The room had already been cleaned by housekeeping while I was out. He claimed he was checking the mini bar, and wanted to enter my room. I have a CC on file, and it was not my last day so that was SUS. No tub, just shower.
