Nothing
Booked for colleagues, staff gave out 2 family rooms to two single colleagues and by the time the others had finished work, didn’t have a place to stay so ended up sleeping in the car park. No1 seems bothered or has helped honour our complaint. Would NOT book again

Loved the location, the layout, the surroundings, the offer of facilities, reception staff were so polite and helpful. Everything was lovely and clean!
Some of the property was a little worn and it’s the small things that let it down a bit I.e., the decoration, room touch ups needed, our toilet roll holder was broken and wouldn’t take much to fix it, no mirror in room (apart from bathroom), no herbal tea. We also paid £15 to use the fancier spa facilities but then realised that anyone using the pool was just swanning between the two parts of the leisure/spa facilities without anyone checking or keeping an eye on that which felt a bit disappointing that there was no clear differentiation.

Food in the on site restaurant was excellent and the staff all very friendly and happy to help with anything. The housekeeping team particularly helpful. Pool was lovely and changing rooms very clean and up to date.
Couple stains on sheet and matress but easily rectified. Stayed at better hotels but also have payed more so can't complain at all.

Lovely setting and the canal on the doorstop was lovely, very clean and well kept. The pool and gym facilities were excellent. Will certainly return again.
bathroom was very small and there is a lot of road noise from the A5

Resturant and spa are of a decent standard but the hotel and rooms are VERY dated and the pictures used by booking.com do not offer a true depiction of the rooms.
Very overpriced for what it is although I imagine a lot of it is for use of the leisure facilities.
Dated rooms with paint peeling from wardrobes, dripping taps and stains all over skirting boards.

The fact that you plan weddings to start at 1.30pm and make guests pay £25 to early check in to be able to get ready before that time. Seems sneaky and hidden a cost
3.7
The food in the restaurant was okay.
No Tv working in the room when we got there. We were only stopping at the hotel due to my wife having an operation at the nearby hospital early the next morning, so we only needed a quiet night in the room watching television. While we were having our meal at the Waterside restaurant they failed to bring the drinks we ordered.
3.7
Good location and a spacious room.
Bathroom sink had a big crack and the toilet roll holder was broken. At breakfast the tables were sticky and there was a chip on the floor. Crockery was covered with dishwasher residue, the cutlery watermarked and my mug was fire badly fire-cracked. Noisy wedding guests disrupted our sleep several times.

Everything was great! A very relaxing night away. The facilities were fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
If I had to critique one thing, then it would have to be that the bed was a little hard for my liking. Apart from this, I very much liked everything else.
3.7
TV didn't work and was programmed for an alarm call at 3.30am!

The SPA was really good and the saving grace of the break. Dinner was very good at both the restaurants.
The room was tatty and the bathroom was very small (you could hardly turn around) we had to return to Reception to ask about breakfast (when and where!) as we were not given this information. There was no mirror within reach of the hair dryer (again we had to ask for this), the plug in the sink did not work and on the last day the safe would not open. Cooked breakfast in the morning was cold and couldn't be eaten and the continental choice was very very limited (no bread except for sliced white/brown). I could go on and on but hey ho, certainly not a 4 star hotel.
3.7
Pleasant enough location next to a canal. Plenty of free car parking space.
Staff were friendly and approachable.
Didn't find the bed comfortable. Pillows were poor compared with options in say a Premier Inn. Did not sleep well either night.
No hot water for a shower at 9am on the first morning Had an earlier shower on the second day and it was ok but anyone having a lie in might be disappointed.
