Historic property - we were able to stay in the same room as a Bram Stoker. Convenient location - short walk to the castle and beach. Restaurant and pub onsite. Clean, comfortable room.

Beautifully appointed hotel. Extremely helpful staff Rooms comfortable
In upstairs rooms the wi fi was not strong so took time to download material. Elsewhere it was fine
4.3
it’s location - 5 minutes from the Cruden Bay golf club (the reason for our trip) - and the friendliness of the staff.
the hotel seemed a little run down from
my previous stays. For example, the room I had has a brand new bathroom but there was no electrical outlet, no toilet paper holder and the widow wouldn’t open.

location and friendly staff
The single room 9 is poor - one external window which is smoked like a bathroom window. shower leaked puddling on the floor.

the entire experience was of a most excellent nature. We came both to enjoy a break, and to research the Bram Stoker connection. We were not disappointed with either aspect. Of particular note were the staff. From the friendly welcome on arrival, to the commitment to making our stay a memorable one. Thank you, we will certainly return.
No improvement needed.

Location was perfect and we had some lovely walks in the area. The hotel itself needs a refresh in some areas but notwithstanding this we were very comfortable and the food was excellent both in the evening and at breakfast.
Nothing.
