Rien

Super comfortable and had everything we needed - the bothy is an ideal stay. Can’t beat the location and view, right on the beach.
Nothing. only it was freezing when we arrived and took a while to warm up with the fire stove.

a beautiful little bothy that felt like it was in a
world of its own but was actually really close to
amenities and really easy to get to. We had a
wonderful stay. Lots of little extras to make life
easy like condiments and proper coffee!
Wonderful location by the beach and owner very
helpful with recommendations etc. A true little
holiday haven.
A little dusty but to be expected with the type of
property. A sign at the gate saying Lusa Bothy as
well as Lusa farm would be helpful as we weren’t
sure we were at the right place.

it’s superb location, really quirky, well equipped and clean.
cosy blankets, the seals in the bay
the cold and damp; the stove didn’t really heat the place up and being a big user of stoves it was probably too small for the job in hand in winter. Use coal only we learnt by trial and error on out last night….
the damp was just the natural lime stone walls which is expected, but it added to coldness.

The location was amazing, the property was just magical, clean, well equipped and everything we hoped it would be. the pictures do not do it justice.

Beautiful location, enjoyed spotting seals. Wood stove and record player made the stay cosy. Breakfast was nice, liked the use of reusable containers. Kitchen was immaculate.

The Bothy is absolutely perfect and cannot be improved! :)
This is a WOW property! Stunning interior design and location and extremely comfortable and homely.

We loved every minute at Lusa Bothy, the perfect getaway. After reading some of the reviews prior to our stay, we thought it may be quite cold at the bothy but on the contrary it was heartwarmingly tranquil. Pack enough logs and you will not be disappointed. The picturesque views (including the friendly highland cows) were unforgettable. We hope to return in the future.
Thank you Jane.
Absolutely nothing at all.

We loved everything about this place, location, comfort, quirky interiors and an amazing view
Location is lovely and quiet just bear in mind that it’s a good drive from the main Skye attractions

The Bothy was fantastic! Beautiful inside and out and Jane was a great host. Thank you!

Beautiful bothy, beautiful setting. Right on the water. The bothy has been renovated so well, we loved it! Everything you could need was there. Breakfast was great too. The wood fire heated the living space really well. The radiator in the bedroom was perfect when needed(we visited during an unusually hot few days in august) the dehumidifier definitely helped. The island is very accessible from here. Our dog Otis loved the cosy nights by the fire. Overall an amazing stay!

The bothy was so unique and beautifully decorated. It was in a perfect location too.

When picking a place to stay on Skye this was the one that stood out the most and we are so glad we chose Lusa Bothy. The location is phenomenal, on site parking right at the front path. The bothy itself had everything you could ever need for a pleasant stay,it was also very clean upon arrival. The scenery and surrounding area are breathtaking from every window. It literally couldnt be in a nicer spot. It was particually nice to get a fire going in the pit outside of an evening and chill out looking over the water. You can also get the fire going inside if the weather is a bit dull and appreciate the amazing views right from the sofa. One of our highlights was going swimming in the water right opposite the bothy. There is too much to write here so overall we give this place a 10/10 in every way. If you like an old, rustic and atmospheric accomodation then this is the place for you. The owners have done a fantasitic job capturing the history of the bothy and making you feel right at home. Located a short drive from the main road means you are only minutes away from local shops for groceries or eat out meals etc. It is situated perfectly in that sense. Do not hesitate to book here, you will not regret it.

Location is exceptional, right on the stone / part sand beach (when the tide is out), bothy was truly unique from the building, contents to furniture , very comfortable with amazing views, and everything that you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay. No tv was a bonus for us, but a dab radio and record player with selection of albums could be used. The peace and quiet was better with the Highland cattle occasionally wandering by the front on the beach.

Stunning view from the Bothy, with a perfect location. Had a very enjoyable relaxing stay in a beautiful Bothy. Thanks
Nothing really
Could do with better seats outside but I suppose that’s the ambience of the place

The bothy was perfect in every way 🥰 we managed to explore most of what we wanted in Skye and coming home at the end of the day to this beautiful bothy and views just topped the holiday. I would 100% recommend.

The location is sublime - on the water's edge with fabulous views from the picture windows & friendly highland cattle as neighbours. Perfect & peaceful.
Whilst accepting this is a renovated traditional bothy, nevertheless the bedroom felt dark & airless.

Amazing place! Cosy yet quirky! Had everything you could possibly need!
The view from the window is just beautiful! Loved seeing the coo's! It felt like we were on our own estate!
I was sad to leave! Hopefully we will come back one day!
There was nothing to dislike!

The view on the sea and the mountains is breathtaking. The decoration of the house in a ‘steam punk’ style is perfect. Even the visiting Highland coos are part of the ambiance.
A bit more cooking equipment for the ‘obsessive cooks’ and I hope the owner manage to sort out a little problem of humidity in the bathroom.

Everything was brilliant, well equipped and the hosts were super helpful.
If we were being really picky the hot water was a little temperamental but we just planned our showers around it.
4.7
This is the most beautiful location! The bothy is so lovely and the decor is incredible. We felt so lucky to be there and to just sit and admire the view, you could stay there all day! The beach is a stones throw away and watching the cows wander around was brilliant. Everything you needed was there, and the kitchen had everything for a short stay, there were some fab take outs nearby (highly recommend Mia pizza on Kyle and Taste of India!). We even used the bbq outside and Jane left us some coal.
Only complaint we had was how cold it was, the fire didn’t warm up the place fully so do take lots of layers and plenty of firewood. The bothy has two hot water bottles so popping them in the bed really helped!

Lovely finish to the bothy and a nice vibe throughout. Whiskey and gin left from the owners to have a wee tipple on arrival which was a lovely touch. Views were fantastic, super remote and peaceful which was perfect for us.
Very cold. Only two small portable heaters and a wood burner for which you had to source the wood. Spent approximately £60 on wood and kindling to get enough heat for the four nights so quite a considerable cost on top of the already expensive rate per night. The portable heater and hot water bottles (provided) were ok in the bedroom but I would take cosy PJ’s. Bathroom was freezing. Underfloor heating would be massively beneficial. Also we found that the water went cold in the shower after the first person (showing for approximately 5 - 10 minutes)

Beautifully restored. Lots of lovely touches. Cosy. Well-equipped. Stunning views. Very romantic. Own private beach.
It’s an incredible place. If we were being hypercritical, the mattress is a touch soft for us. But still perfectly comfy.
