This hotel is very well situated for visiting Cambridge central, although the room was more basic than expected for the price. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate in the Six restaurant and the food and service were good and we enjoyed a drink on the rooftop bar - the views were great, although the drinks were pricey!
For the price paid, the room was smaller and more basic than expected and we were looking straight into an alley with very loud air con engines outside. The pillows were also very uncomfortable and whilst alternatives were provided when we asked at reception, they were of the same quality!

price was high.

Room was clean and a good size. Facilities were of a very high standard and the staff were professional at all tines. Made our stay very welcome.
8.0
Staff welcoming and adjustment to the larger room.
Valet parking good value for 3/4 days.
I am not sure how, but the front right bumper was scratched. I should have checked the car over on its return from the valet parking. I had checked the location through my tracker and was able to locate where the car was parked. I’m not sure it is a secure location so it could have been caused by anyone. I think it would be good if show photographs of the car park so guests can make informed decisions if they want to park there. It rather took the shine off the week.

Lovely room and perfect location, breakfast was great! Staff were really nice :) comfortable bed too!
loud noises coming from the ceiling/vents (maybe pipes or something stuck in a fan?) that woke us up during the night multiple times

The bed was amazing, the breakfast was a great start to the day, the shower was incredible, the location was just at the edge of the centre so you get all the positives of being close and don't suffer the noise, the staff were all super friendly, and the sauna/steam room/jacuzzi additions were delightful
Only one thing and that is our room seemed to be below some kind of extremely popular seating arrangement. On the Thursday night for around 2 hours there was non stop chair scraping which died around 11. As well the "private parking" listed on booking.com is £25 a night and requires notice in advance. I looked all over the site for this and didn't see it, it is listed on the Varsity website under FAQ's.

The room was lovely and the espresso martinis served in the bar were great! The included continental breakfast was substantial, no fry up required!
Shame the rooftop terrace wasn't open, understand it's seasonal but patio heaters/blankets for knees might have made it feasible.

We were upgraded to a spacious 5th floor room with very nice views and a large bathroom. Big continental breakfast buffet My partner was very happy with her spa treatment. Above all the staff were all very friendly and helpful and made staying with our 1-year-old as easy as possible!

the room was very nice - the staff catered well for my gluten and dairy intolerance and were most helpful and attentive - friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. The location was excellent.
We found the hotel a bit difficult to locate and because of fast moving traffic and bus lanes found ourselves in a bus lane as missed the turning. A sign to Hotel at the turning would have been very helpful. We may get a fine.
