Absolutely beautiful.
Poor customer service.
Had to wait 15 minutes for someone to arrive at the reception desk and that was only because I informed the barman that 3 families were waiting to check in!
And so it continued….
Such a shame because the property and estate is absolutely stunning.

Stunning hotel - the design of the rooms and the main areas is exquisite, everything is thought through. The restaurant and cocktail bar are great, breakfast was very good as well. The spa is lovely and the working hours are quite long but try to book the treatments in advance as it gets busy. You can also walk around beautiful lake, river and the forest located at the hotel grounds. In short, it's a gorgeous hotel - you won't be disappointed.
Everything is perfect.

Spa is fantastic especially as we had sunshine maybe the first of 2024!! Rooms were lovely spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable
Cooked breakfast could be improved nothing to write home about and service at breakfast was hit and miss. £19 for a G&T was a bit expensive

All good !

Beautiful, stylish and relaxing stay where the staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary trip special. The two pools are great and the facial was the best I've ever had. Loved the games room and the continential breakfast was just incredible. Only advice is remember to book the restuarant - we saw a few couples being turned away with no reservation.

Everything was amazing! Excellent facilities, food, cocktails and staff.
No baked beans for the Full English Breakfast was extremely disappointing.

Beautiful setting . Picturesque gardens with waterfalls down to the lake .
Lovely rooms. Very comfortable bed.
We had a very nice meal in the restaurant and enjoyed cocktails sitting by the fire .

As it was the location where Lewis Carroll got his inspiration for Alice in Wonderland the interior design with that in mind was amazing and had some really fun features.
The staff especially George at the front desk were so friendly and went to such an effort to make our stay nice
The setting in and around the grounds were beautiful

Absolutely stunning house, rooms, spa and grounds. Decor really cool and worked well- modern twist on old house. Food was amazing - we had the sharing Cote de Boeuf- and we enjoyed having a low key burger and cocktails in the bar the second night. The spa was bliss- beautiful swimming pools, steam room, gym, and treatments were excellent. Our room was spacious, beautiful, bed extremely comfortable, and well stocked with goodies. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We had the best time.

The grounds and spa were beautiful.
The staff didn’t always seem to know what was going on. Poor communication.
Too many children at the spa facility which didn’t lend itself to a relaxing atmosphere.

Room was gorgeous with a marshmallow like bed that you sink into! A huge bathroom with lovely smelling toiletries. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very pleasant. Spa was a little ill designed but good.
Some staff just need a little more training (i.e waiting staff need to know what they are serving you) but they are nice people. Spa changing rooms are too small and you have to walk through reception to the pool if carrying bags/towels etc.

Our room was very large and nicely decorated. The staff on reception were very helpful and the spa and dinner were both very good. The front of house for the evening, Max, was knowledgeable about the wine list and had good recommendations for wine and food pairings.
The quality of the breakfast and afternoon tea left a lot to be desired. There was a 'continental breakfast' included in the room rate which consisted of a few stale supermarket pastries and some fruit. The waiters didn't provide us with a menu or a code to scan and seemed unaware of what was on the menu or whether it was possible to be served hot food. For afternoon tea, we were also left without a menu and had to wait about 15-20 minutes before a waiter came who then seemed confused that we intended to order afternoon tea, despite this being the main cover during the afternoon. When he did take our order, he forget to include a pot of tea with it and had to take the order again. At both breakfast and tea, we had to wait about 10 minutes before someone appeared to seat us, despite the general availability of seating.

Gorgeous rooms and decor and facilities were superb. Grounds just breathtaking.
The service was incredibly inconsistent and not what you expect when you consider price. Had to wait too long to be seated at breakfast and if you want cooked breakfast be prepared to wait up to 45mins. Some staff were amazing and others slightly rude, although you could see they were really busy and struggling with that. I would also say the hotel is child and dog tolerant rather than friendly.

Beautiful building and grounds, lovely staff and easy check in and check out, the spa is gorgeous and the pools although cool in temperature are stunning and you can actually properly swim lengths in the them! 17m indoor and 15m outdoor.
Loved the cute bell tents in the grounds that can be booked for fun picnics and dinners.
Only downside to the hotel is some of the rooms look tired and could do with a paint re-fresh.
The spa although lovely do not lend you flip flops so you walk around the spa, pools and changing rooms barefoot! Please can you also add kettlebells, rubber mats and a water cooler and small towels to the gym, burpees on the concrete floor is painful!
