expensive and limited menu selection
not the staff were respectful although the hotel didn’t meet our expectations.
1. the pool area didn’t have enough beach towels. and the staff only said that they informed the supervisor.
when we asked again since we need to get out of the pool, the staff said it’s on the way. that the towels are being delivered by the third party.
it took 2 hrs or more waiting time for the towels to arrive. the staff didn’t offer any solution. we asked if she can get from housekeeping but she said housekeeping may run out of towels.
when asked if this situation always happens and they said “yes”
so it means there is a management issue.
in the end we were given gym towels which are hand towel size.
front desk
when i called from my room about my request to extend my room until 8 pm and am willing to pay. they front desk said she will check and get back to me. i said will be having breakfast already and she said she will contact me there. but when she went there i was hearing a person announcing for my room number but she went inside the restaurant so i told the waiter that i think she is looking for me…csn you please just tell her that i am sitting outside. next thing the waiter came to my table and relayed what the front desk officer wanted to say. the waiter told me that there is no room available. i feel that front desk person should be the one telling it to me. if i have more questions the waiter won’t be able to answer anything related to room issues.

Service was the best! Staff were all amazing, greets each guest with the warmest smile. Trademark of Filipino service.
More variety with hot drinks for buffet and more filipino foods, more locations being serviced for free transport, more promos.

The location is quiet but it has access to Stations 2 and 3 - either by taking a leisurely walk along the shore or by taking the hotel’s shuttle which is alway available until I think 10pm
We were there in August when it wa “habagat” so there were barriers placed facing the shore which blocked the spectular morning view.

Probably the best resort I have ever stayed at. The service is absolutely outstanding starting with the arrival at the airport and dedicated boat service and throughout the entire stay. The suites are amazing, and facilities including multiple pools are just perfect in a more quiet area for Boracay. Going to the main busy area is possible walking 30 minutes on the beach or using the free service shuttle. Absolutely perfect vacation, thank you to the entire staff!

The exceptional service and excellent staff.
Prime location with beautiful sunset, gorgeous view from rooftop pool and the butlers parade at the poolside is a big plus.
Shoutout to Marianne at breakfast because she prepared ginger tea and fresh bread for my husband who wasn’t feeling well one morning.
Every single staff at this resort are AMAZING, they always go above and beyond.

Location was fantastic - right on a quiet part of the beautiful, clean beach with easy walking access to everything the town had to offer. Staff were amazing - always attentive and friendly.
The food was a little disappointing. Breakfast, lunch and room service were all good. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first evening (tired after travel). The food took a long time to be delivered - starters and main courses were delivered at the same time, and one dish was completely cold - inedible. Staff dealt with the problem efficiently, but for the level of hotel, we were hoping for better. We chose not to eat in the hotel restaurant after the first night.

the suites are very clean and spacious. especially the staff, they looked after our needs at all times. a small birthday cake and their attention to details was spot on. 100% recommend.
heated pools in the room and the public areas were not a good idea especially when it is very hot outside.

Have stayed here before, but this time we were really disappointed. The lock on our room door did not work after a night out and we had to wait outside our room for a long while for the engineering team use a manual key to open it (I ended up falling asleep on the floor!). The worst part is, it happened AGAIN the next night. Had to wait again and fell asleep on the floor outside the room for them to use the manual key AGAIN. They also knew we got to our room at 4am and yet their engineering/IT team kept calling us and kept ringing the bell at early morning to fix the door lock. It was a huge inconvenience!
The jacuzzi on the roof deck also was not working for a while, and we had to wait for maybe an hour for someone from engineering to come to fix it. They even asked us to take a dip in the cold water while waiting so we don’t miss the sunset.
Had a massage and got double charged. Good thing i took a second look at our charges, otherwise we would’ve been charged for 4 massages, instead or 2.
Been a huge fan of this resort because of the service but it seems this has deteriorated. This particular stay for us was very disappointing.

Locacion was great, rooms are very well kept and clean
We had a baby with us who is still using bottles so we needed to sterilise them - they did not have any functioning microwave to do so

Discovery Shores probably has the best beachfront area for the whole of Station 1. The way the hotel was built allows guests to have the best view of the beach and its amenities. The breakfast buffet is still great, as per usual - it gives guests a variety of dishes/options to choose from. Staff are very respectful, friendly and helpful.
Our room needed to be refurbished - the sliding door leading to the balcony couldn't be locked (door not aligned anymore), the cover over the doorknob was also a bit loose. We also did not get one of the turn-in snacks - when asked, we were told that there was a "do not disturb" sign (should not be an issue as we never missed it even with the same condition in past bookings). Also, despite us having a kid with us, Bogart (the hotel's welcome stuffed bear) was not in our room, which was pretty standard for them.

The room service food was really unhealthy choices and bad taste. The breakfast buffet wasn't that great either. This hotel is about 20 years overdue for a renovation. It seems they're working on it - but it's about 15 years too late. You're expecting something really high end because it's one of the top rated hotels on the island and the price is high. But, everything really is just falling apart everywhere. And not like -- falling apart because the island [and presumably the hotel] was closed for covid. Like -- falling apart for a decade because no one has cared. I can't imagine I was the first person ever to notice that, for example, you can't change the speed on the exercise bike in the gym [the button isn't responsive]. I am sure that's been reported as broken for 10 years and never fixed. It's just a small example of what the entire experience is like.

The whole place was exceptional as well as the service. Discovery Shores never disappoints.
It's not that I didn't like it, but the breakfast buffet used to have a better selection (pre-pandemic).

Superb staff! Everyone was so kind and well trained!
The food was so so.
Breakfast had a lot of options but not well seasoned, breads not that good.

The location is excellent as the beachfront is very nice. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast is also excellent. Service is great and the staff are all very courteous, friendly and helpful.
I wish the room rates were more affordable. Some soap and water in the common shower area near the pool would have been nice. Some courtesy water sport activities would have also been nice, as well as discounts on spa services.

room, location and service
food menu can be updated for lunch and dinner. needs a bit more variety for breakfast considering the price

beach is amazing and stuff is wonderful
the hotel is divided into sections, and they are only connected by stairs which makes very hard for a stroller

It had been my second stay in Discovery Shores, I like it that they had added a new 360 Roof top lounge where you can see the horizon with the clear waters with less people walking in front of you. The staff are excellent and courteous. They go out of their way to assist you to and from the port area which is quite reassuring. You feel looked after.

The room was really spacious. Love the pools. Both pools are heated. The service was superb. Kudos to the staff of Discovery Shores Boracay especially to Sir Melvin, Sir Imran, and Sir Naj.
4.5
Everything! But I keep on coming back to Discovery shores most especially because of the kind, attentive and sincere staff. Special mention are Mr. Byron (security staff by the beach front), Ms. Marian and Ms. Kristine (restaurant staff), Mr. Mark and Mr. Emil (shuttle drivers) and all the pool attendants. We will be back for sure!
The price is a bit steep. Food could be better for the price.
