Gorgeous view but slightly disappointing

Location and gorgeous view

Balcony door did not lock. Questionable cleanliness. This place has such great potential but felt tired and unloved. Sadly, the restaurant was also closed due to the chef leaving.

Good appearance but expect better.

Location is perfect and the meal in the restaurant very good, with well appointed room that appeared to be very comfortable and inviting. Parking was a bit disorganised but plenty of room.

We had end room upstairs - The air conditioner could not cope with the cold and we could not get the room warm enough. No toaster, if they pay insurance surely the fire risk is covered. No hot water for a shower on second morning. Manager turned on booster but too late for us to stay and have shower.

Great value accommodation

Great location, friendly staff.

Reverse cycle A/C was ineffective at heating the room, and the blankets were thin, so in cold weather it is a bit cold overnight.

Good location in Kingscote overlooking waterfront. located about 45 minutes drive from Penneshaw where the ferry docks. friendly staff and clean rooms. Definitely recommend.

Good room for the price

The view was amazing, bathroom seemed recently renovated and the room was large.

Just some updates, carpet seemed old, I had to put a towel under the front door to stop the wind from howling from the gap at the bottom and the sliding door was difficult to lock and unlock.

great views, and clean rooms.

Although a little dated and tired, rooms were spotlessly clean. I was able to park close to the room. Staff were friendly and communicative.

There was a fair bit of wind noise, to be fair it was fairly windy, but it was whistling through somewhere.. Not a complaint though.

Superb

When you wake up and open the curtain, the beautiful view of the sea is the first thing you see. And at the dusk, we really enjoyed the view of the sunset. The property is well maintained, and we'll choose this one again if we're going to visit Kangaroo Island in the future.

I'd suggest a microwave in the room. It will be more convenient.

Worth the money, good location, friendly staff.

Location is very good, views over the sea, a short walk to beach. About 20 mins walk to town centre , as we did not take our car, we walked to the town a few times. Friendly staff, they were very helpful. On site restaurant is great, dinner was awesome , did not try breakfast as we left very early for both mornings, staff provided us with breakfast that we can eat, cereals, milk, bread and jam.

The beds are ok, they are a little “old” and creaks, needs updating, despite the brick walls, sounds from other rooms carrying through.

Location in relation to what we wanted to do.

The size of the bed . A queen is what is normal these days. The fluro lights are a bit passe and shine in your eyes if wanting to lie in bed and watch TV.
