We loved our stay here. The family room was spacious and we had plenty of room for all of us. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was extremely accommodating.

Prachtige kamers, heel goed ontbijt, zeer vriendelijk personeel, mooie omgeving, een top adres!
Alles was top!
4.5
the room was quiet and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and found both to be extremely good. Lots of healthy choices. The ice cream shop afterwards was a nice bonus and having dinner overlooking the cows was lovely!
We were there in the shoulder season and there was still some construction going on. It was a bit muddy, walking from our room to the restaraunt. However, it was understandable since there was some construction going on and it was spring

Petit déjeuner varié et sain, emplacement parfait, literie confortable ; propreté absolue
Chambre assez mal insonorisée : les voisins semblent être dans la même pièce que nous !

Great location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, great size of family room
Matress was a bit lumpy. Light in bathroom kept shutting off (it was motion activated and not working properly)

Beautiful setting. Loved sitting next to the cows while enjoying the ice cream!

The surrounding is beautiful and quiet. The restaurant serves the high quality food from the farms around. It actually is the best dinner we had in Iceland for ten days. It has a barn with cows you can see through the viewing window and horse running happily outside.
There is no Wi-Fi.
4.5
Great central location in Golden Circle, nice natural setting and proximity to many highlights, fantastic restaurant where one can enjoy beef burgers and ice cream while watching the source, i.e., the cows!
Tiny shower stalls and short shower curtain, which made it difficult not to flood the bathroom floor.
4.5
New building with cosy rooms. Nice decoration. Kid outdoor playground is great. Great idea to have cows to watch while dining.
For the price asked, I did not expect to line up standing in from of the cashier for 15 minutes to order food. The line and the pay in advance system Clearly do not give incentive to order a refill. One feels in a cafeteria. a bit more staff and friendly interactions would make a great plus. Breakfast is so expensive that one would expect to find all items in the buffet rather than have to ask for them when they run away. Good portions are small. Rooms could include a mini fridge. Black out curtains would be a plus.

Great place, great food,
lovely people and animals. I really enjoyed staying here!

Absolutely love this place. Very clean comfortable and nicely designed.
4.5
The place is incredibly rustic in a good way - log cabin and all that. Pictures of the farm pets and horses on the walls
Very warm, as we went in a colder period (April).
Very close from Golden Circle attractions. Good restaurant with farm-to-table food, the farm being right there.
En suite bathroom.
Check in is a bit hit and miss as someone from the restaurant staff has to make time to explain how to get to the rooms and get you the key. And the restaurant is almost always busy.

Very comfortable stay. We like the restaurant here, offering outstanding food.

super large family room with big bathroom. really comfortable. great restaurant (beef goulash!) and fun house-made ice-cream cafe with windows onto the beautifully daylit cows. if fully booked at least stop there for icecream.
loved it all

This was one of my favourite stops of the trip. The location is right on the golden circle route, between Thingvillir and Geysir. The farm is charming and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is awesome and it has a cool glass wall looking into the cow barn.
4.5
Stayed overnight. Very cozy room with heated floor. Very friendly personnel, quirky view in the restaurant and café in the main building - windows separate you from the cow barn, so you could watch cows munching. Dinner at the restaurant was good. Excellent breakfast buffet with home made selection (breads, skyr, whey). Met two friendly dogs who work on the farm.
Walls are bit thin.

the cows, the Ice cream and the burgers. the breakfast was great, loved the homemade bread and tuna salad-spread especially! the room was cozy.

Icecream is good. Room is OK and clean. View is perfect.
The room setup is a bit tricky to use for 2 or 3 people.
Not an issue, just mentioning.

The views , depending on what side your cabin is facing.
Bedroom was warm, bed was comfy and the underfloor heating is most welcome.
Simple breakfast, delicious local yoghurt and beef.
It was lovely to see the dairy herd.
Staff are friendly and helpful, especially on recommendations of where to explore in the local area.
The farm dogs are cheeky and friendly.
The adjoining cabins are not sound proof.
No fridge storage.
Bathroom is tiny.
Don't leave any food outside to remain cold or the farm dogs will eat it 😂

Excellent stay! Loved the hotel

This is a unique experience to stay at this farmhotel run by a family. It was incredibly cozy and charming, dinner and breakfast were great, loved looking over the cows. The floors are heated which I love. The ice cream is amazing!!
This is not the Hilton. When we came to check in they were so busy scooping up ice cream, they recommended to have dinner or some ice cream and they could check us in a bit. No problem, the food was great and they were able to soon check us in. The room is super cute and cozy but the walls are quite thin. There happened to be a young family next to us with a crying baby, we could hear everything going on. It was all fine, the baby went to sleep and so did we! I guess what I am trying to say is if you are uptight this is not the place for you. If you want a charming local farmhouse experience, this is it.

This place was outstanding in every way - the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the ice cream in the cafe (whilst watching the cows eat their hay) was delicious, the warm and comfortable room (we had the best night's sleep there), the beautiful meal in the restaurant (I had trout - the first time in years- absolutely cooked to perfection), a gorgeous breakfast - the whole experience was utterly memorable - thank you so much for having us 😀
Nothing!

Location, cleanliness, ease of access as late check in
breakfast options but appreciate it regardless :)

The ice cream is very good and it’s unusual and nice to see the cows from the restaurant.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed. They have everything - restaurant, bar, breakfast, ice cream. The breakfast room overlooks the cow barn so you have some entertainment (but no smell!) And since we didn't arrive in time the night before to get ice cream, I asked to buy a scoop as my after-breakfast snack and they didn't think that was an unusual request at all! Would love to cone back and spend more than one night to explore the farm and spend more time in the area.
I wish the website had updated restaurant hours. We ate at a park visitor center because we didn't know if they'd be open when we arrived on a Sunday at 7pm.

We stayed in a family room for 5 people - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. There was sufficient room for ourselves and luggage. The paid continental breakfast was delicious and filling - including pancakes. My husband enjoyed the spa which was filled by local thermal water. This was welcome after the snorkelling at Silfra. It was -22oC so at night we noticed the bathroom stayed cool.
The kettle was situated on a side table with coffee and tea - but there was no powerpoint near it. During the 2 night stay the heating in the bathroom did not work, but they provided an oil heater to assist.

We chose this place for our first night in Iceland based on all the good reviews, so I'm sure it is better in the Summer, but what is not clear in the hotel description, is that the whole hotel including the bar and restaurant are closed by 9pm. We arrived at 2115 to a sign pinned to the door directing us to our room which is away from the main hotel. Everything was closed. Upon getting to our room we spent the night with the window and door fully open despit it being -6 degrees outside as the thermostat had no effect on the heating, which had the room at a sweltering heat. We had a terrible nights sleep as a result. Dreadful experience and couldn't be more disappointed with our choice.

The room was really nice and the staff was friendly. We liked being able to see the cows through the windows. Ice cream is made on site by dairy cows.
The room was very hot, even with the heat turned down. We could hear the people in the room next to us talking and snoring. We paid for the breakfast buffet, which didn’t have a big or great selection.
