Very well located hotel with all the possible amenities. We were really happy and extremely satisfied with the staff and services. Would definitely visit again.

Very good

The hotel is located right next to the train station. The bedroom was a good size with comfortable beds and soundproofed windows. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of food, hot and cold, and fruit and yoghurt.

There was a selection of pillows, but they were all very soft. Would like a firmer pillow.

A most enjoyable city centre stay

We pre-arranged to arrive after midnight. The hotel is opposite the rail station and access via keypad easy and secure. They had upgraded us to a quiet (garden facing) room which was very comfortable and much appreciated as were very tired after a delayed flight to Zurich and late arrival by train in Winterthur. In the morning we enjoyed a really excellent breakfast after which we were able to do a quick tour of the old town before collecting our bags and getting back on the train to our next destination.

We could not fault this excellent city centre hotel

We were happy with our stay here.

Location is walking distance from the train station. Breakfast is good. Unlimited water and coffee. You can also borrow their bikes.

The receptionist is not always available.

A nice hotel in a very convenient location at a reasonable price

This hotel is really just outside Winterthur train station, literally a few minutes walk from the train bringing us there. For us the location was perfect to see a bit of central Winterthur and then on the next day have a wide choice of trains which bring you as fast to Zürich airport as a train or S-Bahn from Zürich central station – less than 20 minutes ride. The room was nice and cheerful, looking out towards the train station so one had the sound of that when one opened the windows, but for us this was no issue. If you are more sensitive there are rooms overlooking a green shared courtyard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. With more time we might have borrowed some of the multiple pairs of e-bikes they had. Leaving our luggage after checkout until we took the train was no trouble at all. For Swiss standards the price was very reasonable, especially since it included a decent buffet breakfast. We will definitely consider this option again for flights from Zürich airport.

As a minor criticism we would have liked a bit more pressure from the shower and it was hard not to set part of the bathroom under water while showering (gap between panel and bathtub).

Amazing 3 star in winterthur that offers more than what you pay for.

Amazing location right beside the trainstation. The breakfast buffet is very good for the price and the rooms are amazing. Plus the staff at the reception is very friendly!

Beds were not quite up to my taste, but that is very subjective

A great hotel right by the train station.

My sister and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and facilities at Hotel Wartmann am Bahnhof. The lady at reception was friendly and really helpful, and the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of food, and the coffee was superb.

There really was nothing we didn't like.

Great one night stay.

Very convenient location, just about short walk of 10min to everything you need while in town. Spacious lobby. Sparkling room. Kettle with tea and coffee included. In addition to a free coffee and tea at the reception 24/7.

I had to Stay in winterthur because of work, I found out this hotel close to station and in center good position great breakfast. Receptionists have been very nice because in two weeks we had many demands but they always replyed kindly. Special thanks to Natasia who always welcomed us with a big smile and professionsm.

A good stay

It completely met my expectations as a 3 start hotel. I had a nice quiet room at the end of the corridor and slept very well. Everything looked clean. Breakfast was fine.

If I had to be picky: the television did not show most of the channels, and the tea cups in the room were not particularly clean.

Excellent services, location.

Breakfast is good, rooms are clean and plenty of space, and the best of the best hotel location right infront of station 2 minutes walk.

Pillows, really need to get better pillows.
