Very unique property in a traditional Albanian style. The views were incredible especially from the upstairs balcony and it was an easy walk to town. Beds were also comfy and the breakfast in the garden was truly a special memory and atmosphere.
Staff too were friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back!

I don't know if Irwin spells his name the English way but he is the gentleman at front desk and he was an absolute treat. We had a million questions and he took care of us. The hotel is also located in an area where there isn't much noise, so you can get a good night's sleep.

The view is breathtaking, even in rainy time, you won't feel bored just sitting in terrace. Excellent staffs as well, bringing the breakfast up to the terrace as well.

The service was very good. We loved the breakfast and the position of the hotel was very good, with a very nice view over the city and the castle. It is a good choice if you go to Gjirokaster
Nothing, everything was perfect.

The hotel is in good location, not far from the center, souvenir shops and castle area. Its in a historical building with beautiful wooden carved ceilings. Breakfast was good, with Albanian traditional food , like mountain tea, trahana and dough balls. I would especially like to say thank you to reception staff that was very welcoming and gave us full set of recommendations on places to see, eat and culture in general. We were very happy to find such a helpful reception gentleman!
The problem of our stay was the wifi. We had a suite and it was hardly working in one room , but totally no wifi in the other room. This is why I give a lower review score. Wifi issue is important for visitors, and should be addressed by the hotel.

traditional, original, and unique, it’s difficult to find accommodations as authentic as this. it was stunning!
we liked everything! don’t expect luxury because tradition and luxury often dont go hand in hand. for us, this was one of the nicest experiences because it was so authentic and genuine. the breakfast could be better if they had freshly squeezed orange juice, but apart from that-everything else perfect.

The location is OK, near to city center only, 5 minutes by walk, the breakfast was is delicious,
The room was very cold, they use small AC that can't do anything for that cold

Although this hotel is located in the old part of Gjirokaster we were happy that it is a little bit aside from the touristic center with all the cafés, bars, restaurants and shops (5 minutes walk). From our room or the public balcony you have a stunning view over the whole city and valley.
The room has kept his old Osman charm. But this also means small closets and creaky planks. The bathroom is super modern in a superb state. Everything is super clean.
The Albanian style breakfast is absolutely delicious.
The staff is very friendly. Especially the young Mr. Irvin is outstandingly caring and gives you the idea of being "the one and only family's best friend". The perfect host!
The lights in the room are too dark. This might have been to our very personal minds.

Very nice stay in a small, family-owned property. Wooden floors and carved ceiling, modern bathroom. Quiet area, a little bit uphill from the center. Public spaces, e.g. a balcony with a view of The Valley. Friendly breakfast with home-made fig jam and eggs fried to order.
Not much to improve. Maybe serve the honey at breakfast in a jar like the jam, instead of plastic portions that are hard to break in to?

Wonderful typical hotel
Super friendly staff
Room and bathroom super clean
All in typical Albania style
Nice view at the balcony

a little away from the city center... but everything can be done on foot

Nice position in the historical center. The building is fantastic as well as the rooms, that are large, clean and fully equipped . The staff is super-professional, kind and efficient. A really nice place in Girokaster.

Nice place, excellent panoramic view. Kind staff, good food. Old medieval house with large garden. Easy to park with car, but challenging to get there…

The hotel was in a nice family house with nice views of the city. Staff was nice (in particular Irwin) and breakfast was good, served in nice balcony. Beds were comfortable.
Room was in second floor and was not practical with luggage. wifi didn’t work well in room, but better in outside living room.

The room was big, the bathroom renovated and the view amazing
The Wi-Fi was really slow. Although their site states that you can pay by card, when I tried to do so, they told me they only accept cash.

everything is fantastic in this hotel: from the staff (a nice and welcoming family) to the breakfast. the room was exactly what we wanted and the bathroom has been recently renovated. the old bazaar and the entrance to the castle are also minutes away. they also arranged a taxi for us when we left, and the driver made sure we found the right bus and didn’t leave until we left. the experience has been fantastic, i will go back.
