The animals, the setting, the views
The room/ cabin was freezing cold inside, the blankets were not enough

Loved being able to interact with the alpacas and go into their paddock, the kids (7 & 12) had the best time feeding them, despite being sneezed/ spat on, they thought it was hilarious. All of the staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. It was nice being able to wander around the farm and see various animals, tennis court was good too. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing about the property specifically. But would recommend stocking up on snacks, essentials etc for families as it’s about 20 min from the main part of the Hunter/ restaurants etc.

Location was great, great little farm stay set up that the kids will love. A the facilities are there & it was spotless on arrival.
We went for a wedding in a neighbouring vineyard so I was travelling with 2 elderly parents, 2 daughters and staying 4 days.
There is no day towel service!... or cleaning & no washing facilities so after asking we got beach towels. We weren't going to survive with 1 towel for 4 days!!!We got woken up everyday by a very loud roaming rooster outside the window, the bugs are crazy. I opened a window for 3 hours and my bed got infested with ants, there's no cleaners on-site so reception kindly dropped me down sheets so I could change my bed myself. I had to ask them to take the old sheets the next day. I shook out the doona coz I didn't get a replacement for that. The next day it happened again to my daughters bunk bed, with the window shut so that meant nothing. Reception was conveniently shut when we left at 10am. I left a big message for them but No call from the manager just ignored. It was so disappointing because the facilities are really cute but not very professional handling of an issue. Anywhere can get ants it's not a big deal but cleaning up was very problematic and a real failure to handle the customer, the receptionist did what she could but it warranted better service & attention from the owners.

The cottages were very well maintained and the kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. Thank you Starline Alpacas Farmstay Resort for providing us with such an amazing experience.

The sounds and sights of nature at sunrise with morning coffee. The updated interiors and bathroom. Reasonable kitchen setup for basic meal preps. Separate dining and TV sitting areas. Good size fridge. Between 10 minutes to 35 minutes travel to reach most Hunter Valley cellar doors and restaurants.

Two nights farm stay experience is superb, I thought I would be awake by the noise of animals in the morning but to my surprise they were all pretty quiet. We stayed at 2-bedroom waterfront cottage, the cottage itself is well maintained and clean, fully equipped with kitchen utensils. We could see lots of stars at night when we walked out on the deck. Free kibbles will be provided to feed alpacas and donkeys but be aware of alpacas will be sneezing to your face.....lol

It was very calming and a very quiet place to stay with my wife and our 9 year old High Functioning A.S.D Grand Daughter. She enjoyed the freedom to set out with feed bag (supplied) fin hand and feed the vast assortment of animals on the property. Booking online/check in/hospitality/ check out was very easy. Overall the room was absolutely spotless in it's presentation/cleanliness-given that it was on a farm, the presentation was absolutely first rate (the housekeeper should be congratulated!)
The pool/tennis court and 'ping pong' table were an absolute bonus. Of special note was the presentation of the grounds - the fact that the tennis court had the leaves blown off it every morning religiously and the pool area kept absolutely spotless in presentation is once again a credit to the owners.
On arrival the room had been sprayed with a very strong air-freshener which, for my wife a sinus/hay fever sufferer, caused a headache which lasted a day - airing of the room for 4 hours on arrival alleviated the majority of the freshener. This incident will be remembered for our next stay at Starline Alpacas as we will request that the room not be sprayed before we arrive.

loved everything about this place, staff was super friendly and accommodating, Lucy Cottage where we stayed was just perfectly positioned to enjoy the animals and nature and not be bothered by the people enjoying the pool and other sports activities.

It was the perfect amount of space for our family of 3. Our animal-loving 4 year old really enjoyed exploring the property and feeding the alpacas, the pig and the ducks. I loved sitting in the veranda overlooking the alpaca enclosures. It was a comfortable cottage with complete kitchen and dining facilities. Clean, well maintained. Modern and spacious bathroom.
I wished there was a full length mirror.
