Room with bath was very comfy. Breakfast staff member really helpful and friendly.
No wifi available in bedroom, had to go downstairs & because bank holiday w/e the bar and everywhere totally full, so nowhere to sit.

The staff were lovely. The food on the evening and breakfast the next day was very nice and reasonably priced. The hotel itself is a fine old building.
Rooms were dated but nothing a lick of paint and a bit of attention to the fixtures couldn't sort out. There didn't seem to be enough staff on to look after the bar and the outside area, I felt a bit sorry for them and when it got a bit blustery and empty glasses started to rattle and fall off tables i brought about 20 inside ( it was a hot day but a bit gusty, lots of people had been sat outside and just left glasses on tables).

The food was incredible.

Room lock broken but was moved to another room, but after i had been up and down the stairs loads , i have one leg, me and stairs dont mix that well. But it did get sorted out.

outstanding building, you can see it’s coach Inn Heritage.
the decor was a little tired.

Historical building.
Room was rather hot and bathroom is tiny.

The room was warm. The staff were kind and friendly. It was very comfortable. The large wardrobes and vanities were nice touches.
The rooms didn't have enough sockets. The bathrooms could use an update with peeling wallpaper.

Well located hotel in Middleton, perfect for walking and exploring the valley.
Shower was a little tight, but I had the small single room, so that was probably to be expected

Good location. Nice bedroom, nice size. Comfy bed. Bathroom looking a bit tired. Staff very helpful.
Changed there cider pump, food was a bit lacking in taste, was okay. But last year was excellent.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
The room (2) I stayed in was small and I could hear every noise from other rooms.
The light switches on/off and talking.
The shower room could do with a good clean.
Other than that everything was as expected.

friendly staff great food & great location
not really a dislike but the bed was very uncomfortable. The property oozes history & fabulous features, however, the rooms need a face lift.

staff were nice bar area looked lovely location and village itself was lovely
room was a little dated in places but not much to complain about to be honest

Cosy well equipped room.
Excellent restaurant; delicious cauliflower burger!
professional friendly staff.
Wonderful breakfast made to order.
Incredible value.
Nothing of much significance:
Glass shelf in bathroom is not in a safe place at head height above the sink, would be better above toilet higher up.

Everything that you need was available.
The bed was hard. Bacon had no taste, egg was over cooked.

Down in the bar is lovely
The rooms are very tired and out of date the bed was like sleeping on the floor the quilt was so thin cob webs in the room. The room was very dark and unwelcoming won't stay here again.

Bed was comfortable
Food and drink selection was great (lovely Bar atmosphere)
Staff were friendly and accommodating
Room needed a bit of TLC, it was rather dated and had peeling wallpaper. The kettle was eroding on the plastic spout thus making it unusable without residue coming off into the water

good location. Great breakfast and friendly and polite staff on the morning shift
the room was awful. not fit for a guest. no shower. The only window was in the bathroom. it was pokey and dark. bathroom was stuck in the seventies with badly flushing loo. The paper peeling off the ceiling. There was no chair, just a bed and shelf . it was situated directly above kitchen so noises from fridge all night. I cannot believe they can have a paying guest in this room . when I asked if I could have a different room with a shower, they said it would cost £30 more. The evening staff were younger & unhelpful. it is supposed to be welcoming to solo travellers. I will not be recommending it to solo travellers.

The hotel is also a Pub and with the Pub side I have no complains, the staff was very accomodating and friendly, the food was amazing but that was about it.
The only good thing about the room was the shower, nice and hot water and plenty of it.
Nothing else.
The room looked old and dated with dated wall paper pilling off he wall and it also looked manky. The room smelt damp and old. The lighting was poor, the room door had to be banged shut as it did not fit the frame properly. The bed was horrible with a foam mattress placed on top of another old springed mattress making the whole thing way to soft and wobbly. There was no heating therefore, they placed an electric heater that had to be plugged to the wall socket, not very green is it! The wardrobe was old and benta almost falling apart, the doors creeked and it didn't shut properlly. The whole experience was very disapointing. Had to pay for breakfast separately too.
