Incredible exclusive experience
7.0 / 10.0

The location was spectacular and the breakfast was just delicious. The staff were incredibly kind and the boat taxi was very efficient. I would absolutely come back here.
It's a family-friendly hotel, and while I think that's fine, the fact that there were children running around, jumping in the pool, screaming etc., kind of took away from the serenity of the experience.

Location. Efficient staff.
over priced for facilities offered in rooms

Beautiful property beachfront with really helpful and friendly staff. The spa was really nice and breakfast was delicious. The boat tours were both really nice (we did the South Plaza and Bartolome). I wish I knew about the tours as soon as I did the hotel booking as some of the tours were fully booked and with guests from other hotels.
The beds in the room we stayed could be a bit bigger (they were 2 double beds) and if they were queen size beds it would have been amazing

location and overall feel of the hotel
the menu could have been more variated.
Everyday was the same Manu, at the pool or the restaurant, and it got a bit difficult to find different items to eat, not enough salads and small dishes

Service is incredible, always available to provide the best experience. The pool and front beach is a differential. Food in the hotel is high quality. The rooms are very clean. The courtesy breakfast is very good.
The room is not large and the wifi was not as high speed as expected.

The pool was amazing, the rooms very clean and the location of the property fantastic. The boat excursions were amazing, guides and staff really great.
The food selection at lunch and dinnertime was limited, always the same items. When you stay for one week it kinds of get monotonous. Also missing are healthy snacks for the pool, and a larger selection of salads.
I wish there were shorter boat day excursions.

The staff at the Finch Bay hotel were extremely welcoming, the food was excellent (both for breakfast and dinner) and the location was incredibly special. The walk from the water taxi drop off was longer than expected but so unusual to arrive at a destination this way so it wasn’t a problem. I can honestly say this was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. There was a feeling of quality and friendliness that made our stay very special.

This hotel is incredible: the location, the organization, the breakfasts. If you want a real treat, this is it. Their tour guide was maybe my favourite part. Finch Bay also did their utmost to help organize our trip back from Isabela Island to mainland Ecuador. I mean, it's very expensive, so you pay for it, but it was a really nice treat.

The Finch Bay property was beautiful, clean and off the beaten path which gave it a very special feel. Staff went out of the way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We loved the little walk from the pier to the hotel. Breakfast was delicious too!
I liked everything, but expected the room to be a little bigger. That was made up for with the cozy seating around the pool and in the lobby.

Wonderful location - friendly ..nice clean hotel

It is definitely the best you’ll get in Galápagos, but very over-priced.
Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly, helpful staff who speak passable English.
The excursions to different islands are a must. The boats are comfortable and the guides are excellent!
If you’re looking to go on a quiet holiday with your partner, come out of season. The hotel was taken over by noisy, hyper-active rich kids. So much so that my husband and I could never use the pool, as it was constantly full of kids, from morning to night. We also opted to eat elsewhere where we could have some quiet time to ourselves. It felt like we were visiting Disney World and we could never enjoy a peaceful afternoon at this pricey hotel without kids running about unsupervised, chasing away the birds.
The beach in front of the hotel is a public beach. It is noisy from early in the morning until late in the evening, making the expensive ocean view suites less private.
The staff should pay more attention to picking up litter all around the property (some of which had been laying about for days!).
The free wifi at the port didn’t work which made finding a water taxi back to the hotel a hassle every time.

The staff could not have been nice or more helpful. in particular, Renado helped us navigate the crazy ferry system when our boat was delayed by a tsunami- he went above and beyond.

Very limited choices, same every day
Out of 5 nights we stayed there 3 mornings didn’t have avocado on the side.
You would think it’s not such a difficult request considering you are in Ecuador
Definitely not compatible with the price you are paying for the hotel.
Hotel is beautiful and has a very nice zen feel to it.
Problem is the management that is quite weak and has no presence there.
You have a very mixed crowd from families to adults to young generation disrespectful of other space and peace and nobody to correct them.
Twice happened that we had guests coming to the pool with their own music creating their own party while others had to endure it with no management or staff to correct it.
The Staff also steals. Someone from the cleaning staff took my very expensive leather designer jacket from my room closet. We had to push the management to file the police report and as of now all I got is apologies.
This incident shouldn’t have happened in the hotel that considers themselves luxury and costs you on average $500 a night.
Investigation is still pending ….
I have stayed in most of the luxury beautiful hotels around the world. This one has a nice potential but is completely overpriced for the quality it is giving you.

Spa was amazing, hot tub was great and massages were unbelievable and very reasonably priced. The pool was great. The food at the restaurant was also really good and offers a mix of Ecuadorian and western options. We mostly got the Ecuadorian things which were excellent. A lot of the dishes are enough to share between two people.
You have to get a water taxi to the hotel which is cute at first but means any trip into town takes at least 15 minutes
