Disappointed

I paid 200 AUD for a double room (not shared room) for one night just to get no toiletries! They didn’t put notice in the booking page, not even a body soap (they say body wash in AU) and the male staff was rude when I tried to borrow a hairdryer. The checkout time was 9.30, which was super early. The food I stored in the fridge was also removed for not putting a name on it. Also, you have to pay an extra 15 bucks for staying at the open area after checkout. Btw, there was a cockroach in the room, and the soundproofing was very bad. I got awakened at 6 by the tenants singing downstairs.

Vraiment top et reposant

les chambres sont dans des sortes de minis appartements, il y a donc deux chambres de 4 pour une cuisine et une salle de bain, ce qui fait que c'est très intimiste et très agréable, on s'y sent bien

le wifi ne fonctionne pas dans les chambres malheureusement, mais sinon tout était top

Not the best place I've stayed at

The WiFi didn't make it into the room. The bathroom sink was blocked. They started cleaning at 830am making a lot of noise.

The bed in the private room it was cool

The staff it wasn't cool, not friendly at all, not willing to help and thé facilities are not friendly

Great location near bus, beach bushwalks and small shops

Location and private room was good and bed comfy. Kitchen was quite good. They had free yoga which is a good offeringbut I didn't do it.

People stayed in the shower for up to 50 minutes and it was impossible to get a shower. In some cases I think it was people from forms doing it so private room with 'shared' bathroom is a very broad term.

Good traveller stop

Had everything we needed for the night Would be a good stop for backpackers - kitchen on site and communa areas to meet other travellers

Quite expensive for what it is-think is the area itself is very expensive though so just market prices!

Allright stay

Good and easy vibe, clean bathroom, super close to the beach. A lot of long stayers, but they were very nice to me.

The room was way too small for 5 people. It was like 9m2 I think? Especially with long stayers because they have a lot of stuff. Got a little claustrofobic. I couldn't put my bag anywhere and it was so messy. Also some of them stayed in the common area untill very late in the evening next to the bedroom which was very noisy, could hear everything.

Good vibe, lovely staff. Great communal area. Close to beach. Close to bus stop.

Pretty expensive for what it was. Only one hot shower (in a different area to our room). Very little personal space to put bags or valuables, and security not very good (e.g. if others in the shared dorm decide not to shut or lock the door to the room)

The place is near to nice restaurants and the beach. It's a nice place to sit together in the evening.

The booking cannot be cancelled, if small things are changing the flexibility is quite low. For a backpacker hotel, flexibility and good price can be expected, or not?

Very homely feeling about the hostel. There was lots of space to chill out and everyone including guests were so friendly

We didn’t even stay there for one night. We found alternative accomodation

For what you paid the room was quite disgusting and looked like people had been living there for years. The bed also looked like it was from a prison cell. Was so expensive for the quality of room.

two rooms with 6 people share one kitchen and one bathroom. 5min walk from the beach

wifi didn‘t work in the room. lot of people long stay (they left a lot of stuff in the kitchen and in the common area)

Superb

We stayed in a private room which was comfortable. People were friendly and sharing a bathroom and kitchen was no problem- bathroom was big and shower was lovely. Gardens were nice and sitting outdoors was pleasant. Staff were helpful and approachable.

Only small issue was lack of sound insulation so hearing neighbours clearly through the walls at times.

Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Great location and atmosphere, nice common area, everything nice and clean, close to the beach and the national park

Rooms had no lockers, but actually people and atmosphere made me feel so safe, that I didn’t even felt like I need a locker! Not enough power sockets though.

Very good

really nice vibes and tropical ambiente of the hostel. the location is exceptional with a 2min walk to sunshine beach which is beautiful for surfing, swimming and walks. the staff was very friendly. plenty of possibilities to cook. a very nice social area. close to public transport and restaurants and a grocery store. quiet place

the mattress and pillows have been old and uncomfortable and a bit dirty
