Breakfast good, although mostly chinese food, some chicken sausages were good and bacon was ok. Fruit juice especially grapefruit was excellent, coffee was just about drinkable.
Room was good especially the beds, the most comfortable be i have slept in at a hotel, especially the pillows, just the right size, not too big, the bathroom and bath and balcony all great
On booking . com the resort showed it had a water park. But gave absolutely no detail of cost. There are very few facilities for kids in the ground - no free playground AT aLL. Although the paid for soft play was big, and good and the kids enjoyed it it is still 80 RMB without the trampolines or about 170 a kid if you want to bounce. We got a free day pass and the children under 1.2 m got in for free, but literally half the rides were closed, and everything inside you have to pay extra for even the rubber rings to float on are 50 RMB. My kids got one that was left somewhere and the staff in the water park literally came to try to charge them...
The water park is porrly maintained, literally the bearings had all gone on the pirate ship water slide - this was the only thing kids nder 1.2m were allowed on in the whole park - and only 1 of slides was open. The water park should be free, i wouldn't pay to go in again to the water park.
Great local restaurants behind Kapok tower A and good price too.

Breakfast very busy with no one waiting in line. Staff slow to clear tables and no support in getting a table even though we had kids. Many shops and restaurants closed in the resort and all places were tired and in need of renovation. Too expensive for the facilities on offer.

The staff in the hotel are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Especially Jack at the front desk-what a lovely, professional guy who speaks English. He was able to sort out all my request. The positive of this place is that it is in the city, so there are a few restaurants nearby and onsite.
I styed in the Kapok tower. The property looks NOTHING like the photos. I booked it because of the water park on site. My kids went there once and were disappointed with how run down and old the water park was. The whole hotel area looks and feels dark, dated, eerie and deserted. Dark buildings, dark corridors, broken wooden boards by the pool. The garden is also very unkept. The first room we were given smelt of cigarette smoke. Luckily, I was offered 2 more different rooms and found the room that did not smell that bad. The curtains were dirty though, the furniture old and dark. Breakfast was limited to Chinese dishes with very bitter coffee. They were quite slow cleaning the tables. The pool was used mainly by little kids. I managed to stay there for 3 nights, then checked out early and moved to a more suitable hotel.

The breakfast had a good variety. There are some nice restaurants and fast food options down inside the resort area. The staff did their best to accommodate me when needed.
That there was very loud music in the middle of the resort that was playing til almost 10 pm. It was so loud I could hear it on the top floor of the building. I would advise for guest to have peace and quiet. To only have the event with this music maybe once a week instead of every night. My bathroom in the room had a bad smell and toilet eventually broke during my stay. The staff were not that helpful with local directions or tour option information.

Spaceous, clean rooms. Some attractions for kids and restaurants nearby.
Several separate hotel towers in that area - not easy to find the right one.

Correct hotel tower was not easy to find in that big komplex (no signs and the taxi drop-off point was everytime on the other edge of that area, No beach nearby.

I thought the staff were friendly and helpful. Although most of them did not speak any English. However; they did their best to assist me if they could. I liked how the breakfast was open til 10:30 and they had a wide selection of items.
The room was very dark it was hard to see even with all the lights on. The bathroom lighting around the mirror was poor. The floor was dirty when I got in the room. Hard to navigate the property with the map provided. Property needs to make a bigger map so the items are larger. It is hard to navigate at night around the property there is no lighting in the pathways in the center and was very easy to get lost. I liked the Thai restaurant and pizza place food was very good.
