was a good stay. bit of an early wake up with the 4.40am fire alarm.

room was clean. bed was comfortable pillows were comfortable

no electric blanket for the south island in winter. no real area to wash cups.

Fantastic facility with well maintained units. We had the one bedroom apartment which was ideal for our family of 4.

The only negative was the restaurant. Two of our 4 dinner meals were mucked up, food was delivered cold. When they redid the steak it was over cooked and rubbery. The hotel ended up comping the majority of the food bill which we appreciated but was just unfortunate that it happened as it was the only disappointing moment of our stay.

Value for money.

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Laundry facilities - receptionist was helpful and opened the laundry back up after hours so we could get our laundry. Good restaurant for breakfast.

Room was a bit dated but was clean and tidy.

Relaxed and family orientated.

The bed was comfortable, I had a good night sleep. The room was quiet. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool. We walked in and out to the centr of town, it was only a 20 min walk.

Great restaurant and laundry facility on site.

Easy access (walking distance) to on-site laundry facility. Great restaurant on-site (Flames restaurant). I had my best meal (pork short ribs) in New Zealand thus far (been on North Island for the past week & now starting our vacation in the South Island). The $29/ person breakfast voucher (pre-paid) was just the right amount in covering for a full breakfast. Room was comfortable, warm, and had the necessary amenities. Staff were very friendly, helpful & professional.

The staff were amazing and helpful, the restaurant on site cooks amazing meals, loved the pork belly and breakfast menu was amazing, loved the coffee and service was awesome.

Comfortable, clean and suitable for a one nighter. Rm55, power cord on electric blanket on bed facing tv needs checking. Kitchen suitable for cuppa

It was a comfortable room with a spacious balcony.

I was happy with the room and its outdoor terrace. I would have liked for the hotel staff to not just have made up our beds and given us towels, but to vacuum the carpet in our room or provide us with a vacuum to do it ourselves. Being at the beach sand is inevitable and also being a family of 4 in a small environment always requires cleaning up. For some reason the volume on our television Never got past a certain point and was hard to hear even for our kids.

Won't bother coming back, nor recommend to others. But we WOULD return to the restaurant.

Restaurant was exceptional. Enjoyed all meals there, staff a1, food a1, including our xmas lunch.

We payed top dollar for tiny room with no balcony, every other room had one!!! There was no rubbish receptacle in bathroom, dirty glasses ( lipstick marks) no knife to cut our cheese, no plate for our cheese platter, no coffee table, nor any table. Nor was there any dish washing cloth, nor teatowel, or soap. We were there for two nights with no service, so how were we expected to clean our dishes??? This was a very very basic room to spend our much anticipated Christmas in. So pleased at least it wasn't grubby!
