La ubicacion y el entorno con la naturaleza
Instalaciones no están a la vanguardia a la actualidad, considero un poco viejo.

Great location and staff very attentive. Room was lovely and big. Views from room spectacular. Big pool. Guides on the tours were lovely and knowledgeable
Tours were very expensive but short. Could do with more local options on the menu. Bit dated, could do with some upgrades

I wish there was more options for meals.

The environment, the outlook, and the views can't be beaten. Absolutely amazing.
The rooms were spacious and the balcony enabled us to get a wonderful view of the birds and animals.
The staff were pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed the night safari.
The food was a little over priced. There was also no hot water kettle I the room for making tea.

Tolles Hotel - super Poolanlage inmitten des Regenwaldes! Super schöne und einmalige Aussicht und tolle Naturwalks. Kann es insbesondere auch für Familien empfehlen! Sehr feines Buffet-Essen.

Breakfast is very good.
Price a bit high.

Location was amazing, you can walk right into rain forest. Right near the lake that goes into canal, stunning g views from our room, the deserted village right near by, the free night tours. Rain forest at your doorstep.
Felt a bit like a package tour hotel at times and the tours they offered weren’t great value. Recommend going down to lake (4 mins walk) and organising your own tours out to monkey island and the canal for half the price.

Location, beauty and amenities
Food service was pricey.

The location and style of the building were amazing. The pool was great and waking up to Howler Monkeys over the lake and aguti/humming birds in the grounds was great.
On site activities were good, a little expensive but people are paying to do the same thing on a day trip from panama with a $50 transfer fee.
Walking down to the local village is worth the 30 mins as the wildlife around the abandoned building is cool and you can visit the spots on the free night tour with greater leisure(particularly cayman/turtle pond).
The food is quite expensive for what it is, the buffet items are good if you happen to like what's on offer but can occasionally feel short-changed. The fruit selection at breakfast is great, as are salad choices at dinner.
The monkey bar is a very reasonably priced alternative to the buffet.
Travel to and from... book an Uber the day before you want to leave to avoid long waits, it'll cost more, but it's guaranteed. Sat/Sun there are a few cars available if you're lucky, but weekdays we struggled to book anything and paid over the odds for a tour guide when we only wanted a taxi.

Beautiful hotel, location in the forest, utstanding view, equipment, helpful personnel (the majority)
70 m long swimming pool, cleanliness, various facilities, excursions in the immediate vicinity
1) No safe wifi, exposing customers to hackers and limiting access to sites equiped with an alert sysþem (we were proposed upon arrival by the reception a safe wifi at 80$ per day),
2) very nice short excursions but the hotel does not organize long excursions in the Soberania national Park (which is not far)
3) a little part of the personnel ismade of lazy bones

Amazing rainforest views and relaxing location. They offer wonderful tours. Comfortable rooms with a hammock on the balcony to relax. So peaceful.
The food was a bit expensive.

My niece works at the Smithsonian Institution and my sister & I decided to stay at this resort to be close to her. Our room had incredible views. The hammock was relaxing and an added bonus. The room was always clean. All of the facilities had beautiful views. I did two tours the boat tour and walking tour. Both were amazing and very reasonably priced. The pool is spectacular and a cool outdoor bar you can swim up to.
I would highly recommend this resort
Lack of English speaking people, but not enough to stop me from going back

Moldy smell throughout, especially in the room. Hair in shower drain.

The location and the property beautiful old design hotel, the activities are a bit of a tourist trap and over charged
Old design although it needs better maintenance like painting the outside

This location is breathtaking and worth it for the view and available hiking directly behind the property. We saw wild toucans, monkeys (a mother w/baby) in the trees, parakeets, and a caiman. The property reminds me of something you'd experience on a trip to Africa. Bring your binoculars! The tours they offer are pricey and not always available but the convenience of being able to book all of your excursions and transportation right in the lobby allows you to relax and enjoy it all. We did the Habitat tour and the boat trip. Both very cool. Get your breakfast included. It's good and there aren't good alternatives. The staff is really great and helpful. Be sure to check out the library too. The rooms are spacious with amazing balconies with hammocks to relax on and watch the birds. Best shower in Panama with excellent pressure.
The booking of the excursions could be better organized. The signs above with options/pricing didn't always reflect reality.
Meeting in the lobby before leaving for excursions was also unnecessarily confusing. Just stagger the times.

In the middle of a jungle, nice to relax.
Options for lunch limited. Snack bar with limited menu. Restaurants pricy.
3.5 / 5.0
The location, the pool area and breakfast.
Some of the staff at the activities desk were "burnt out" and not so friendly. I had to complain to get proper help despite speaking their language. Weak and few lights/lamps in the room, hard to read or see at night.
Only one chair in terrace.
Poor Meal options: only buffet or fast food at the bar, missing local food or healthier options.
All in all, good location but overpriced for what you get.

old fashioned-out of date- interior design of the rooms in a splendid awesome locatrion.
Needs to be updated. Similar as 6 years ago. Disadvantage. You cannot pay the extra facilities at the end.

amazing views, staff was friendly and
supportive.
just coming back on line. pool was under construction, 4 of 5 lounge chairs broken. my wife needed a wheelchair because of an injury sustained earlier in the trip, which they had but in poor condition. pool was not accessible, some ramps on site but leading to nowhere. it was an eye opener for us. initial room was in the “basement”; foul smells and dingy. when we pointed this out, it was quickly resolved and was what we were accustomed to at this resort.

The location was amazing!
I paid extra for a Water view, which I did not get. I asked to move to a different room which they did after waiting several hours. The new room had broken air conditioning which they attempted to fix, but did not repair. also, they were redoing the swimming pool deck, and there were only a handful of chairs available for all of the guests at the entire hotel.

Amazing view from our room balcony and from the hotel public areas. Amazing sunrise and sunsets - enjoyed the sounds of the jungle around us, particularly the howler monkeys. Great hammock included on balcony. Very fun, attractive, refreshing swimming pool. Surprisingly delicious buffet dining - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excursions offered right in lobby were very interesting and worthwhile.
Nothing - in fact, we would have stayed an extra day just to enjoy the hotel if I knew how we were going to enjoy it.

Location and wow factor of the building & grounds!
Some of the staff service were not up to the rest of their colleagues high standards & would request more consistency.

I absolutely loved staying here! there’s so much to do here and the staff was so friendly and helpful!
there is very little lighting in the rooms but this didn’t hinder my experience in anyway!

The staff are the great asset of the hotel. They are all very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was clean and it was great to have a balcony overlooking the Chagres River.
The desserts at lunch and dinner were not very appetising. We had to ask for fruit instead and then we just got the same fruit that was available at breakfast. The trips run from the hotel were very expensive for what was on offer. Over $40 for a short trip on the aerial tramway followed by walk to the top of the observation tower, for example. There is no bus service from Gamboa (as there used to be) so travelling anywhere from the hotel involves a taxi or Uber ride.

The hotel offers a lot of activities, is very big and has a lot to do.
The infrastructure feels old, for the price I've seen better

the rainforest is beautiful. the bed was comfortable. the air conditioning worked. you can tell that is once was beautiful.
it’s not well maintained. it’s in disrepair, dirty, and the food and service are terrible. we made multiple reservations for activities where they would fail to write down our reservation or explain what we needed to do to follow up on the reservation (don’t understand why we would need to follow up, if you make a reservation you should be able to show up at the right time and participate). we would show up at the time and then be pulled aside, humiliated and disrespected.

Beautiful view, really calm so families can get to relax.
The staff that sell the tours did not provide good information on what to do in or out of the hotel, you need to look for information on your own about Panamá.
