Nem sempre havia disponíveis toalhas de piscina. Nem sempre colocavam papel higiénico aquando da limpeza de quartos. Os funcionários da receção aquando de algumas perguntas, as respostas não eram coincidentes.

Zakelijk hotel nabij Praia

Goede uitvalsbasis naar de nabijgelegen stranden en op wandelafstand van Praia centrum (zij het een minder aangename wandelroute). Ruime kamer met grote en goede bedden. Op zich ruim ontbijt, vooral als je van veel zoetigheden houdt, en waarvan je buiten op terras kan genieten. Gelukkig waren er gezellige barretjes aan het strand.

Onpersoonlijk onthaal en weinig behulpzaam personeel (onvoldoende informatie over omgeving, taxi, ... waarbij gids en taxi duurder worden gemaakt dan zou kunnen). Badkamer was niet helemaal proper en heeft een verouderde douche. We hebben 2 op de 3 dagen verschillende malen moeten bellen voor propere handdoeken. Verbouwingen hotel zijn soms noodzakelijk maar lawaai van werkzaamheden kan hinderlijk zijn als je aan zwembad wil uitrusten. Jammer dat zwembad gevuld is met zout water. Weinig gezellig en aantrekkelijke menukaart om er iets te eten.

dececionante e o mais caro da cidade...

Hotel a necessitar urgentemente de reformas. Primeiro esqueceram de colocar um frigobar no quarto... depois o AC não funcionava... as varandas do quarto dão para o corredor - não existe privacidade. Faltaram toalhas para a piscina... E tudo isto com o preço mais caro da cidade. Antes tinha ficado no VIP, mais barato e muito melhor. Enfim... a não repetir!

Decent but totally overpriced

- Great location - Nice rooms and facilities - Friendly staff - Decent WiFi

- Room didn't seem prepared even though we arrived late, had to go and ask for towels etc extra - There were hairs all over the bathroom when we arrived - Found a cockroach in the room one of the days - Breakfast is the same every day and they run out of the nicer things if you don't go early in the morning - Not very responsive, sent questions before my arrival and answers came only halfway through our stay (too late) For what it is, the place is horribly overpriced. It's more like a nice midrange hotel.

Personnel à l’accueil très sympathique et arrangeant, on m’a permis de faire un check out tardif sans supplément, très appréciable.

Les autres clients de l’hôtel, mal éduqués, qui téléphonent ou écoutent leur musique avec le volume à fond, en haut parleur et sans écouteur autour de la piscine, sur la terrasse des chambres ou même lors des dîners… le personnel de l’hôtel ne dit rien alors que c’est clairement dérangeant pour les autres clients et les chambres sont assez mal isolées.

Best Place to stay in Praia and explore the island.

Our family sends a big thank you to the hotel for giving us such flexibility on our check out extension and for the understanding our situation. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food and Beverages were of delicious and served well. The Check in and Check out was Superb and to note that everyone was very friendly and courteous. The Pestana Hospitality is beyond excellence. We would come back for sure.

Beste keuze voor Praia!

Heeft alles, mooi zwembad, restaurant goed, kamers heerlijk ruim, goede bar, locatie goed, jammer niet meer hotels aan deze rand.

Laatste dag rumoerige groep aan t zwembad, werd nauwelijks aangesproken.

Ein durchschnittliches Hotel. Nichts das erwähnenswert wäre. Bin in den meisten LowBudget Hotels auf der Insel Santiago besser untergekommen.

Personal an der Bar unfreundlich. Viele Gerichte und Getränke der Speise-/ Getränkekarte nicht vorrätig. Bestelltes Essen wurde entgegen der Beschreibung in der Speisekarte mit anderen Zutaten zubereitet bzw. manche Zutaten wurden einfach weggelassen. Ausstattung in die Jahre gekommen.

Ambiente, simpatia, serviços.

Uma das noites houveram clientes a falar e a rir muito alto junto ao restaurante (já fechado) perto do meu quarto. Só houve intervenção dos funcionários após 3 queixas na qual a última tive de ir pessoalmente à recepção lembrar-lhes a lei do ruído estabelecido no regulamento do país. As máquinas do café estavam sempre com problemas. A maioria dos clientes queria cafés longos (americano) poderiam colocar um recipiente próprio para este tipo de café.

Kann sehr angenehm werden für Kurzaufenthalt, max. drei Tage

Frühstück ist reichhaltig und gut organisiert. Personal grösstenteils sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Taxis warten vor dem Eingang und machen faire Preise - wenn man Portugiesisch spricht, aber vielleicht auch sonst.

Einige Angestellte beim Empfang sind sonntags äusserst passiv und helfen nicht bei bei der Organisierung der Weiterreise auf die Nachbarinsel. Bedienung an der Terrasse ist freundlich aber unfähig, alles kommt kalt auf den Tisch.

Probably the nicest hotel in Praia, but with some shortcomings

Pretty hotel by the sea, with a great pool, delicious breakfast, good cocktails at the bar and very comfortable beds. The staff at the reception were very accommodating and accepted to keep our luggage a few days before our checkin while we travelled to Ilha do Fogo.

The room was extremely loud due to a street party nearby that lasted until 6am. The staff had not warned us at all about the party and we ended up not sleeping all night. The menu at the restaurant was very limited and quite overpriced. The food was alright, but nothing special.

responsive manager, excellent situation with walking distance to beaches , restaurants and good availability of taxis. Reception staff helpful, putting in touch with friendly reliable taxi/ guide . Pool loungers always available, good, tasty food offerings in restaurant. Big comfortable bathroom

Our room was too close to stairs and noise of coming and going on corridor. Room gloomy and plenty of housekeeping issues, housekeeping with attitude.

Definitely would come back to stay here on my next trip

My wife and I absolutely loved the stay here. It was everything we needed and more from the reception at check-in to the room, wi-fi and the helpful staff. One of the staff becky was particularly helpful with recommendations for places to visit and things to do (we took her advice and went to Kebra Canela beach and had a good time) . I only wish we had booked more days as we previously stayed at another hotel in the city centre (plateau) before moving to this hotel for two night.

Tropico is the best place to stay in Praia!

it’s beautiful. rooms are spacious. great location, staff and pool. breakfast is great too and included. ask for Becky! they had multiple staff that could speak English which was helpful. i love how they have cv art everywhere and use their lobby for cv businesses.

I believe they need to work on their menu and activities at the hotel. nighttime was pretty dead at the hotel. they are walking distance to Linha which has a great menu and is a happening place. they could use a lobby store with snacks or most requested items.

Good hotel with great helpfull staff.

Hotel is comfortable with a nice outdoor pool and bar area. ATM is available in the lobby as well as airport shuttles that take 10mins. Hotel staff are very good to repond to things and are helpful. The breakfast is buffet style and very good selection of bread , fruit, cooked and cerials.

Shower in the room was cold during my stay, dispite reporting it the first morning. The bed only has a sheet on it and i would prefer a lightweight quilt instead.
