Bathroom and shower in high level, clean.
Not a good view, couldn’t control the window well.

The reception, common are and breakfast was great. Staffs was exceptional.
My executive room was bad; AC in the bedroom was not cool, the shower drain very slow - I was standing on water during shower. TV not working, Soap scum on the shower rack . Not worth to call executive suite. 32” TV for suite and not working.

Once I changed rooms to a riverview, I was very happy. The original room, which was labeled city view, was looking down on some industrial units with an acute angled view of the city. Not so nice, but the staff were super accommodating and changed us with no fuss, and they spoke some English also, which was very helpful. The breakfast was the best offering I have ever had in Southeast Asia, and I say that after living and traveling here for the past 7 years. Clean, bountiful, fresh, and delicious. I even met the chef who was a super friendly Thai gentleman. Very impressed. 9/10 from me.
There's not a lot to dislike, but if I must, then ok 2 things. Food in the restaurant was a little pricey and not great. 6 or 7 out of 10, I'd say. (Obviously, not the same Chef) There's much better value and options in town eksewhere. Like Sésé Wine bar and restaurant. Amazing cheese burger full of flavor and even the Texas Chicken (can't eat rice and noddles everyday) spot in the Friendship mall who's Chicken wrap was super fresh and tasty and just beside the food court where my wife and niece ate Asian delights to their hearts content. And also priced very reasonably. Secondly, I was charged $15 per day for an old army style camp bed for my 11 year old niece. This was too much considering comfortbl style etc. So they're my only 2 negatives. But I will definitely stay there again and I do recommend that you do to.

Room with river view is SO beautiful. Good wifi. Excellent big breakfast buffet. And the most cozy bed ever!
There where some older men in our floor which made a lot of noise in the night and also in the early morning - had to shout at them to stop. The toilet flush didnt work well.

This hotel looks a little run down and the room was quite bare, so we were apprehensive on arrival. But the staff were fantastic and the view was amazing. The restaurant overlooking the river was a real highlight. We had a lovely afternoon by the pool and a very reasonably priced dinner. Staff did everything they could to make our stay perfect.
I feel that COVID must have hit this hotel hard. It is a big hotel and the upkeep must be expensive. At the same time, the Lao economy and tourism slowed considerably during the pandemic. The view is great but the windows need to be cleaned. The pool needs more upkeep. However, it was fine to swim in and we loved having it all to ourselves!! We loved how relaxed it all was.

The view was beautiful, we got the deluxe river view, the breakfast buffet was excellent, employees great service.
The wifi was bad, and the room card key, locked out of the room couple times, they also charge 3% extra when paying with the credit card.

Its grand and staff were excellent.
The laundry was pricey ...the outside a bit in need of a paint . Breakfast could have had staff help a bit more and was a bit boring but ok

Lovely gardens, clean pool, large room.
Hot, the whole hotel was poorly airconditioned. My room took all night to cool down and the bed was too soft and hot.
The swimming pool still has broken underwater lights with the wires hanging in the pool Very disconcerting.
When new this hotel would of been magnificent but is now sad. The water in the shower was always cool, and after the first breakfast I did not eat there again.

Great views of the Mekong and the city. Convenient, quiet location. The riverside restaurant has good views, food and service.
Swimming pool water murky.
