Great lawns, great restaurant with great breakfast options. Staff had an event and were a bit impatient when taking our orders but the service was not bad. The room was really beutiful (vintage look and feel) but clean. The shower pressure can be improved. The room had every comfort you could need including a bottle of wine you could purchase. Taking walks on the grounds in the summer is a great experience
Nothing. They should warn guests that walking over the bridge that is next to the restaurant will trigger an alarm though should they decide to explore.

Lovely location
Excellent restaurant for breakfast
Pretty gardens
No communication
No restaurant at night
No towels in our Appartment on the first night

Directions to the property were shocking ! We drove around in circles and no one could help us . No answer at reception .
We got locked into our bedroom as the door couldn't open from the inside .

Beautiful place...
We are not fond of thatch roofs...
The roof take a lot of space....
Room is far to dark for us....

The Breakfast was one of the best I ever had as well as the wine tasting was a nice experience
The room requires some maintenance shower door is broken and the taps at the basin needs some attention other than that the room was nice

Stayed in a thatched house room which was so cooll! Friendly staff, great breakfast selection and coffee, comfortable room with good heating on a cold winter's night. Beautiful grounds, lovely lunch and wine tasting + complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. Quiet and relaxing, would definitely recommend!
Restaurant closes early in winter (4.30pm) BUT we could order a cheese board to have in our room

Breakfast was great.
The staff allowed me to come in earlier than opening times.

Nice breakfast, beautiful estate and massive dutch style room which is like staying in a barn. Great place to relax and generator a bonus during load shedding.
Restaurant closes early - 5pm

Breakfast was delicious, and freshly prepared. The team are incredibly friendly. Stuurman was amazing and made me feel incredibly welcomed. The rooms are cosy and the outdoor areas immaculate.
The service during breakfast was alittle slow. They were busy, and at some point a waiter came to remove the table near me without asking me if I was comfortable with it. Upon check in the amenities and check out times, wifi etc was not explained to me, in the room the toilet wasn't flushed, and the sink tap wasnt closed properly.

We enjoyed everything - from the service, welcoming & friendly staff, the beautiful estate & gardens, the great food & wine plus very comfortable and exceptionally well presented accommodation - Just what was needed for a surprise Wedding anniversary celebration..... Many Thanks to all for a great stay

The rooms are a little dark and there is no swimming pool

Kind staff and the breakfast
No one answers the phone. Never book on a Sunday as the management won't have your rooms ready. I tried to call the resort at 11.45 and no one answered the phone. When we arrived at 10 pm , security were trying to phone the manger as our bookings weren't on the system. The security spent and hour and a half looking for keys for the rooms. The one bedroom didn't even have bath towels in it.

Friendly staff, beautiful accommodation and location
as it is out of town it would nice to be able to have dinner on the premises. Or clients should be notified that restaurant closes at 5 pm

The place is beautiful and peaceful , staff at the restaurant
some small attention to details like no coffee in our room and when I asked we had pods but not the coffee machine… also spoons were missing as well as a plate in the apartment (3 plates for 4 people)

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff.
No milk or fridge to store milk in the room, although there was a kettle and teabags.

We stayed in the two bedroom cottage which was spacious and very nicely decorated. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and it is also very quiet and relaxing at night. The breakfast was delicious and the Carnival is fantastic if you are travelling with young kids - our kids absolutely loved it!
Kitchen could have been better equipped as there was only one bowl and no plates. The shower also flooded quite easily. There is no real reception and so if you need something there is no-one to contact other than security. It would nice to have a contact number in case of a real problem.

The estate is very family friendly and peaceful. They have a very delicious breakfast.
They don’t serve dinner. The room we stayed in was full of spider webs on the thatch roof beams. The furniture is very dated.

The Estate is really nice! It's conveniently located near Stellenbosch and has some great wines! The room was huge and we liked how it was decorated in a very typical and fitting style. Staff was really friendly as well!
Our room had a fireplace, but the chimney was not up to dealing with it so the room became a bit 'smokey'. We quickly fixed it by opening the doors and windows though.

Nature, beautiful setting.
People partying and making a noise on Sunday from 17h to 22h00. I had to ask them to keep it quiet. Not sure where security was.

Beautiful setting and lovely restaurant at the river.
