Location.
Friendly staff.
No parking when we arrived. Directions to alternative parking were inadequate. Unable to find car park.
Pub garden, directly under our room. Very noisy until late at night.
No meal available after 7pm on Sunday evening, not informed in advance.
We were told by staff on arrival and it was advertised breakfast was until 10.00 am, but arriving for breakfast just before 9am, told breakfast available only until 9am.

Adam the landlord was extremely friendly despite being very busy. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The rooms were clean and the location is perfect. A busy and buzzing environment, unsurprisingly since the professionalism of the way it is run.
I suppose if I had to say anything negative a few bits on the menu ran out quite early on the Saturday even though it was quite early and we had booked as well. I ordered a cheese toastie instead which was a bit too well cooked ... but I was having too much fun to care!

Breakfast was amazing and service with a smile always, value for money perfect for a quick overnight stay , location to town centre was spot on. Very friendly and welcoming
Only that the paintwork and carpets a little tired in our room , but this would not prevent me coming back.

The rooms were very modern and in a good location
That there weren't many channels on the TV

we booked 2 rooms for a business trip. one of the rooms had blood stained bedding so had to change rooms. the other discovered he had a ominous tunnel hidden under the desk that went under the hotel. imagine trying to sleep with that in a room. he obviously asked the hotel to move rooms but the only one available was the one with bloodstains his colleague had just left. neither people got much sleep. then in the morning we’re told breakfast finished at 9am. who finishes breakfast at 9am? ridiculous

great location; historic building; friendly helpful staff; comfortable and clean room
more stairs to climb than I had asked for; car park very difficult to find especially as difficult to park at the front in order to find out how to get to the car park! details of how to find the car park when booking would be helpful

Location was great - next to Greene King brewery and Apex centre. A warm welcome, nice beer, lovely (steak) dinner, delicious breakfast and a great night's rest.

Location was good, close to town centre. New owner just taken over so a few minor problems but nothing major
Lots of tables 'reserved' from early evening but no time stated on them so could have been used, instead of being left empty.....

Room was a bit hot, but there was a good fan. Can't be helped considering the summer we have had!

Great location in town and very friendly and helpful staff. There was a great beer selection at the bar! Comfortable beds, powerful shower and large and spacious rooms. Good value for money.
I thought I was booking 2 twin rooms through the app and got 2 family rooms (double bed + pull-out single sofa bed) instead. Could be more homely decorated, the colours are a bit cold.

perfect for us and local to family. breakfast and pub great. really helpful staff.

It's central in Bury so in an excellent location. We could park there so it was a good base.
Breakfast was awful. It wasn't cooked, or had gone cold before being served. I didn't complain. It seemed like too much hassle. I regret that now.
