A FRIENDLY homestay that gives you the authentic Mekong delta vibe

You can have dinner with the host family at a very affordable price. Location is close to the ferry, in a big garden which gives a fresh breath

No shampoo or shower gel so you should prepare that

Disappointing

We chose this homestay because of the good reviews across platforms. We were looking forward to an authentic home-stay experience at the end of our Vietnam trip. However, the first contact with the hostess was disappointing..already the inquiry via WhatsApp, about which bus connections we get the easiest to the homestay was answered quite annoyed. We arrived at the ferry to the island and after a few minutes of walking towards the Homestay we have been instructed by the hostess, which came towards us on a scooter, with the words: "I'm from the Homestay, we will do it one by one" to climb on the scooter to be transported one after the other to the Homestay. Once there, we were told to "follow" and "this is your bungalow"... without another word we were left there standing. We swallowed that at first and thought maybe she had a bad day or just doesn't speak English well (although at least a Hello, here on the island the friendliest little kids keep shouting from everywhere). Over our whole trip we tried to be really open, honest and heartwarming to the people in Vietnam, and that always worked out great, until we met this hostess. After unpacking we asked for a vegetarian dinner and were looked at as if we had personally offended/insulted her. We experienced the same the next morning when we asked for milk for coffee at breakfast. All in all, we experienced the hostess as hostile towards us and this hostility ruined our stay in this actually beautifully located homestay. Sometimes she was quite friendly or ,,normal“ but most of the times we asked her anything she seemed annoyed by us and gave us the feeling of not being welcome here right now. However, one has to differentiate with the husband. We strongly suspect that he is the reason for the multiple positive reviews of this homestay. If we only had contact with him, we probably would have given the same 5-star rating.

Fabulous!!

Gorgeous place, extremely kind and nice!! The breakfast is amazing. On the last day, I left very early and they insisted on preparing breakfast for me before I left 😍

Superb

Friendly & helpful staff/owners, hammocks if you like, very good dinner and choice of Vietnamese breakfast if you prefer it over eggs, we're also very thankful for the opportunity to take the boat to Can Tho instead of the bus, which was a lovely trip

Fantastic

Mrs. Tahn really is a good host. Picked us up at the ferry, booked for us a great boat tour, cooked a fantastic meal for us and even booked or trip back to Saigon. The accommodation is very nice as well. we stayed in one of the bungalows with a/c and a giant private bathroom.

Great surprise

Everything! It's a perfect guest house for a weekend away in the middle of the Mekong Delta. The garden and the bungalow are amazing. The very friendly and welcoming family that owns the property will make you feel at home. Bikes are free and in decent condition. Really recommended.

Very Nice garden and anh Binh island in Total is very Nice and green and a joy to cycle around the small paths and roads. The homestay has bicycles you can use. Good muskito net
