Awesome place to stay

Great place to stay along the Great Southern Rail Trail

We were able to store some of our luggage on checkin day and checkout day for a few hours prior / after which was very helpful for our two day bike ride! Easy going helpful people, good breakfast.

Such a shame this is one of the only places to stay that is somewhat close to Wilson’s Prom. Dismal facilities and staff

Really the only hotel that is not very very expensive in the area.

This should be a two star property at best. Maybe 3 star. Definitely not 4 star. I booked with the expectation that the bar/restaurant/cafe would be open as there are very few dining options in the area. Nothing open when arrived - they said the restaurant owner was on holiday? Looked at reviews and apparently has been shut for the last 3 months (I booked well before this though). Asked for some sort of compensation/discount off the booking as the restaurant is well advertised on the booking.com page - reception staff was incredibly rude and told me I was wrong and that they had already put the notice up everywhere of facilities being shut. I read out the booking.com description to him that clearly states the on-site dining facilities. Still, I was told I was wrong. Room was dismal. Huge crack below the window. Holes in the door covered with tape. Could feel a draft all night. Heating unit hardly worked. Shower pressure dismal. Couldn’t wait to get out of the place.

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The Lodge is a well refurbished old style motel.

The Prom Country Lodge is an old motel that has been refurbished to a food standard. When we stayed the weather was extremely cold and the room was warm and toasty and the bed very warm and extremely comfortable. It was a good sized double room with plenty of lounge space. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful forest and we had a view of beautiful ferns and eucalypts. The lodge is walking distance to the Foster town centre and we had surprisingly excellent meals (about 12 of us at the local pub the Foster Exchange Hotel.

warm shower & comfortable beds, just what we needed after 2 day hike at the prom!

Very comfortable beds & clean facilities. Only grievance was a very noisy neighbour, loud music & talking until 4:30am.

Location was good for our purpose.

Shower didn't have a door and not a fan of rain shower head, it was slow flow. Kettle was tiny and heater took ages to heat room.

unfortunately not much to like at this motel style accommodation.

At our initial checkin the host said that we had not paid when we had. This was later corrected/confirmed. Our room was basic compared to the price paid. A bus blocked parking during our stay.

On a whole it was satisfactory but needs some sprucing up all round.

The location of the hotel was good. Short trip to town. The room was a decent size. The beds were ok. We didn’t use the restaurant but it seemed to be quite popular.

The room needs an update. It was quite worn out.
