I liked the decor of the hotel. It had a stylish ultramodern feel to it.
The location was great in the middle of one of Bogota's safest neighbourhoods
Very big rooms with large, comfortable beds
Very dark decor. It was difficult reading the floor numbers in the elevators without a flashlight
Strange layout: you had to take two different elevator systems to get to your room
LInner: The themed Friday and Saturday dinner was a bit disappointing. The crab salad was very salty and the music level felt you were eating in a nightclub.

Design is on point for W Hotels, breakfast excellent and staff always attentive.
Have stayed multiple times and never a complaint.

Service, food, staff, design, location - all great!!
One small negative is that I don’t think there is enough of a difference in the design/layout/size of the rooms vs suites to justify such a difference in price. Having stayed here multiple times in various different rooms, there is very little difference in the rooms vs suites and if the suite is bigger then it is not usable space (eg an additional corridor on a corner suite makes the floor plan bigger but is not usable). A small negative but would not stop me staying next time I am in Bogotá. It is the only place to stay in Bogotá for true 5*!

Wonderful breakfast with a very good variety of options and the rooms were beautiful!
The bar area when we arrived was very dirty (they might have had an event earlier) but the place in general was not well maintained. The couches were old with holes, the window glass not clean. Not something you would expect to see at the W chain and for the price being paid.

Staff was horrible. During the check in they were doing anything but the check-in. They were very surprised that they have to help with the heavy luggage. During the breakfast we were sitting with the mountains of dirty plates on the table. When I asked to clean the table the waiter, who spoke with me in English before said that he doesn’t speak English. When I asked the hotel manager she told me that she is too busy to spend a time for me (in Spanish of course, which I hopefully understand). The toilet in the room was broken, constantly feeling the tank with the noise. We spent 4 hours until they changed a room for us at 3am. The sockets in the room were broken too, and I used TV to charge my phone. During the whole stay I unsuccessfully tried to contact the hotel manager. It was the bottom of hospitality.

You told me that the Hotel had complimentary transportation between the airport and viceversa. This was not true.

In general the hotel was very nice, location, rooms, friendly staff.
It seems to be a bit dark. Probably a little bit of additional light will be better.

Comfortable room with modern facilities. Very clean. Excellent breakfast
Lacking attention to detail for a 5 star hotel. Location is a bit far from centre

The staff of the most part was OK the room was comfortable but a little too modern for me
I asked for a 5 o'clock in the morning wake up call never received it and I woke up an hour late and I miss my flight and it cost me $487 I'm a little bit upset over it one simple thing to make 1 phone ring in 1 room at 5 o'clock in the morning and they could not do it could not do it to busy chit chat with each other I would suspect But so you know my other stays in Bogota I will not stay with W Bogota And when I told the staff that they didn't give me a wake up call they just looked at me like I was crazy or something something not even apologizing for missing the call and then charge me to take me to the airport late So overall I am not very happy with W Bogata

Fortress-like skyscraper hotel has everything you could imagine: great gym, spa, vast meeting rooms and business centers, private, military grade security.
-Room service / food is terrible. You're in Colombia and they still bring up instant coffee, for example.
-Marriott purchasing the W chain dropped the quality on everything about 80%. Very unfortunate.
-Was also charged about 30% in taxes despite being a tourist (illegal);
-Other suspicious billing issues happened such as being double-charged for a few nights. Again, mega corporate hotel chain makes it look like an accident, they have 100's of properties, if people miss these even a few times it's massive profits for them. Especially in Colombia, check your bill every time. Doesn't matter if it's a big company, sometimes that means they'll try to do it even more.
When I reported these "errors" I was refunded, but no effort was made to keep my business. No free nights, discounts, nothing. A real owner-operated hotel would comp the entire stay if this happened.

I love the thought that went into the design of the hotel and how it ties back to Colombian culture. The pool was an awesome experience as well. The rooms were interesting but didn't follow the design of the public areas and were a little strange in their layout.
We requested connecting rooms, as we had two people with special needs, and contacted the hotel directly to ensure this could happen. They promised it would, and yet the day of check-in the rooms weren't ready—leaving these family members standing in the lobby for over an hour. Then we find out that the rooms can't connect and they assigned rooms on opposite sides of the floor (and only one was ready after an hour waiting). The four family members ended up sharing one room, and the manager offered to refund both rooms to apologize for the error. It has been almost two months and this refund has not occurred, and now the manager is "ghosting" us and not responding to messages asking for a status update. I had to file a dispute with the bank to try to get this resolved.
