Great location, plenty to do in the surrounding area. The Annexe was really cosy and comfortable, dog friendly, and we also had use of a beautiful outdoor area. The hosts were amazing, super accommodating, could'nt have asked for a nicer couple.
The road outside the property was rather busy at times and a little difficult to navigate onto, however, it did'nt really impact on our stay and you could'nt really hear the traffic at night.

The Annex was perfect, had everything you could need and even a few extras. It was lovely to have lots of outside areas to sit and relax. The dog loved the paddock to run around in.
Only thing I could think of is maybe fencing off the courtyard to The Annex, just so you can leave the door open and not worry about the dog.

Lovely shepherds hut with its own garden area should you take your dogs. The bed was super comfy and the hut had all the amenities we needed for a lovely stay.

The cottage was charming and the gardens were beautiful. We ate our lunch under the canopy of the trees and spent one enjoyable evening sitting outside on our patio with a bottle of wine. It was a lovely break.
There weren't enough of those delicious cookies!

The accommodation was well equipped and prepared for our arrival and felt like our own private space. Instructions were clearly communicated. The accommodation is located near by Arundel, South Downs National Park and coastal towns. Very dog-friendly providing for them as well as their humans. Beautiful shepherd hut!
It is by a main road that is frequented by motorbikes.

Nice central location. Overall a great space and well laid out.
Cleanliness was not at the same standard as other similar places.
Dog hair filled the heating ducts, dark staining on all the window blinds and window frames from dampness, stovetop had not been cleaned. Did make us wonder what else hadn’t been cleaned?

West Sussex was lovely.
Comfy bed.
Lovely gardens.
We didn’t realise just how close to the busy noisy A29 the property was. Slept from midnight to about 5 am and after that, the road noise made it impossible to sleep.
Strongly suggest the current cleaner needs to be replaced by someone who actually looks at:
1. The floor
2. The shower drain
3. The windows
4. The cutlery drawer
5.state of the pans
6. Skirting boards.
During our stay, the above were either full of hair, had mould on the window frames and two pans with the last guest’s food stuck to the bottom. We did clean the pans btw and I used three pieces of kitchen roll to pull out hair, which was protruding from the drain - how did you not see it? There’s more left in the drain under the cover - PLEASE look.
Have a look at the floor under the armchair by the tripod lamp, a cluster of hair is stuck to the floor. Look in the top of the radiator - it’s full of hair and dust. The skirting boards are uncleaned, bedside tables, wardrobe ditto.
Windows are very cobwebby. We deliberately left the blinds pulled up so you could see the dirt. All relatively easy to fix, just look and clean. Have the electrical appliances ever been PAT tested? There was no evidence of recent PAT labels. We did expect a freezer in the fridge and a conventional oven. Nothing was said in the advert to say otherwise. The advert also suggested Covid-style cleaning - we’re unconvinced. Is this out of date info? We run a letting business ourselves so we know how it should be done. Overall, really not sure how the Annexe achieves a steady 9.6 for cleanliness. Such a pretty annexe otherwise.

Location and facilities acceeded your 3 star rating, maybe you should listen and recognise genuine kindness and empathy beyond your mark up and pre conceived unrealistic ratings, mr Staggerlee,
Your late e mail, bothering my peace and quiet, it's beautiful here, you are agents, faceless business people, but a convenient way of booking, I should have contacted owners, booking. Com is a necessary evil, , out of touch with the humanitary values of certain locations and correct with others , erroneous agents

Cannot rate this property highly enough. The facilities are brilliant inside and out. It has everything you could possibly need for a self catering break for two (especially if traveling with a for legged friend). Really comfy bed. Great location. Lots of nice pubs/restaurants in the area and obviously lovely walks and stunning views, Arundel is a gorgeous must see nearby. The host is really welcoming and friendly.
Shower room is a bit chilly but okay once the shower gets going.

Comfortable accommodation, good facilities, friendly owners, very dog-friendly with access to enclosed garden.
Bathroom was lovely but lacks a heated towel rail to warm up room and dry towels (although there was a plug-in towel rail to use in the bedroom); apart from that, nothing else.

This is a great little place that is very compact but very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly but not intrusive.
A small freezer compartment in the fridge would have been super useful as we picnic a lot and like to be able to take our cool bags with us, but the hostess was very obliging and agreed to freeze the the blocks for us when I asked her to. A small, low-level table inside rather than the breakfast bar against the wall would have suited us better, as I like to cook our meals. There is a table outside, however, which is adequate when the weather is nice.

It was clean and comfortable. The gardens were kept tidy and were pleasant to sit in on chairs placed around
The entrance to the property was on a main road making it a bit scary when coming and going but apart from that everything was OK.

Lovely gardens.
Couple of spots not as clean as you'd like

Lovely annexe cottage with open plan room with double bed and small kitchen area. Separate bathroom with wet room shower and basin with toilet etc. Free wi-fi and good TV.
Hot water runs out at a certain time of evening

A beautiful little cottage with everything you could possibly ask for. Very dog friendly, comfortable, lovely gardens, lots of thoughtful extras, from home made cookies snd sherry to plentiful kitchen supplies and fluffy towels.
There was a bad smell in the bathroom that wouldn't go away.

What can I say about this amazing little shepherds hut. On arrival we was greeted by Sue who was very pleasant and gave us some useful information for our stay.
The hut is situated on the grounds of the Thatched cottage but you feel like your in for own little world.
The hut its self had everything you needed. There was a useful book made by the owners which was a great touch with walks and local pubs ect. It had it's own little kitchen with tea and coffee available. The bathroom had a brilliant power shower in and all was very clean. The bed was super comfortable aswel. I could go on and on about this lovely little hut. Outside had a sitting area where you could watch the world go by or the two sheep in the field opposite. If we are ever back down south, we will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great stay.

We were in the area for a wedding, we used both properties, both were stunning, every mod con, well stocked cupboards for cooking breakfast, great showers, comfy beds, there was literally nothing we needed that wasn't already there (except hairspray which Sue provided much to my gratitude)
The grounds are tranquil and idyllic with plenty of seating and eating areas. Plenty of parking also.
Sue was a very relaxed, friendly host.

We didn't have breakfast. We loved our stay at The Thatched Cottage, small & bijou but very comfortable & well equipped.Great location for so many places we wished to visit. We received a very warm welcome from Sue & Tom.
If we had been staying for a week we may well have found layout a little small.

The property is beautiful and a real gem in West Sussex! The Cottage has everything you could need for a gorgeous mini-break or longer*. Sue was such a friendly and welcoming host; leaving gorgeous baked treats as a welcome. We also loved the fact there was Alexa playing us welcoming music as we arrived. The information pack helped us secure marvellous evening meals and activities for our time there. As well as a beautiful and comfortable interior, the outside space was gorgeous to relax in for a spot of breakfast or a cheeky G&T!
* We are already planning when to return.
We loved it all! We would just recommend caution pulling out of the property onto the A-road on the first day as many cars don’t adhere to the speed limit (which is not the fault of these owners or their beautiful property).

It was extremely beautiful but the fact you can't walk anywhere from the property was a down since we had the dog plus being on an extremely dodgy corner.when trying to get out. 🙂
Nothing, it's absolutely beautiful and the owner is fab 👌 x

Lovely stay. Attention to detail and little extras very special. Helpful owners always on hand.
Access off main road well arranged but a tricky corner to arrive at and drive out from.

We liked everything!
