We only stayed one night so only real plus point was the wildlife in the back garden ( 4 deer )
Steep stairways upto the room 3 flights property was actually flooded outside when we went to leave in the so literally had to take shoes and socks off to reach cab that was booked huge puddles over the entrance and tiny drain which couldn’t cope. Also booked the hotel as it was really close to the airport yet there is a set £25 cab fee for a five to ten minute journey to Gatwick

The building is a big old country house surrounding by beautiful countryside - very deceptive. The car park was large with easy access. I didn't use the wifi. I didn't have breakfast and there was no evening meal option. The ensuite was clean. There was a generous amount of tea, coffee and milk with refills available on a table in reception but although there was herbal tea, there was no decaff coffee.
I walked up to the main door, which was closed & was reading the notices when the door was opened from inside. A man asked me to follow him & we went to a small office where I felt I was about to be interviewed. He asked my name, gave me a key & said my room was 109 on the first floor. I then asked about eating an evening meal & he said there was a pub called the moon not far away which served good food. The pub was ten minutes away, called the New Moon & only had a shack outside for food.
I walked up the stairs to my room, the man not having offered to carry my case & I am over 70. He had just said 109 on the first floor, he did not say the staircase went up had a small landing then stairs went left and right or which direction to take. There were no signs for room numbers.
I did not realise that planes to & from Gatwick fly in & out ALL NIGHT very low, right over the building & right past the bedroom window. I literally could not sleep. I had to be up at 6 so went to bed at 9. At 11-45 I thought the planes would stop at midnight. WRONG. At 1-36 I googled when the planes would stop & read that there were NO time restrictions on planes in or out of Gatwick. At 2-45 it went quiet for 15 minutes & the next thing I knew I was awakened again and it was just before 5am so I had about 2 hours sleep. I could not use earplugs as I had to be able to hear my alarm, how ironic!
There was a fridge in the room but no hairdryer, went back to reception, sign said reception closed. I could hear voices so I knocked & the man found me a hairdryer. Not the same as being in the room though is it? There were no USB chargers & no glasses or plastic cups in the shower room.
In the morning I met another man who just smiled. He could have asked if everything had been okay but he didn't and I couldn't get out of the place fast enough.
This place needs to be fitted with proper double glazing. The window in my room was ill fitting.

Cleanliness was very good. staff friendly and helpful
the breakfast at £10 was poor. Only Rice Crispies , cornflakes and coco pops. No Branflakes or high fibre serial, no yoghurts and no cols meats or chesses. ONLY instant coffee. Not what I would expect for such a large outlay.
3.5
Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast fine. Room clean.
Bed very hard, which made it very good
difficult to sleep well. Light very bright - could have done with a softer reading light

Location, check in and out
Very small room, cold with no form of heating ie a radiator or wall mounted electric heater. I informed reception who gave the only form of heating to heat the reception office, a tiny portable heater fan.

Pleasant property in nice countryside surroundings, v convenient for Gatwick airport
Under the flight path to Gatwick so quite noisy. Limited headroom and tiny sink in bathroom. No drinks (water, coffee) provided.

One of the rooms, didn’t have hot water and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly or checked as there was in flushed excrement.

I loved the quaintness of the hotel. Very quiet, very clean. This is an old farmhouse so it has that old-fashioned charm. We stayed 1 night. Complimentary taxi phone in lobby and breakfast. Close to LGW airport
It was at least 40 minutes from downtown London. It is located in the country if that's not what you're looking for. About 4 miles from.LTW. Was a bit stressful trying to contact a taxi via lobby phone as I called and had no answer for at least 30 minutes (4AM). Although once I finally got someone he was at the hotel within 15 minutes and knew exactly where to take us as we are from the US and not familiar with the area. We.were in G08, the bathroom main light looks like it has a short in it and I had to turn off for it was blinking like crazy. I used the mirror light instead. Nothing around the area to eat if you have no car. We ordered pizza from a menu in the lobby. It was good and reasonable. I would stay there again.

Very comfy bed. Plenty tea/coffee available. Everything clean. Lovely views over the garden & great location.
Wallpaper coming off at the top of the wall. No access to wonderful garden. Breakfast a little limited in choice.

good location. friendly staff.
no hairdryer.

Friendly guy on reception upon arrival. Helped with questions.
Good parking at the Hotel, quiet area.
Room was warm with a nice bed/mattress to sleep on. Amenities left on bed upon arrival.
Good water pressure.
Overall cleanliness was good.
Contrary to a lot of reviews my WiFi was actually good and could run Netflix/YouTube - (Garden View Room)
No room service.
Shower head was broken. Was fixed by the second day but this didn't meet expectations when I arrived.
I walked in from work at 17:00 to find an extension cord running through the bathroom window into a plug socket in my room. I don't know what this was in relation to but I chucked the cable out of the window anyway.
A lot of marks/ageing on the walls of the room.
Can be quite noisy within the hotel itself at night due to other guests slamming doors.

Close to the Gatwick Airport
Very small bed for two people, noisy outside

The location is nice and private
I wasn’t told what time breakfast was, I wasn’t taken to my room just told to go find G07. Customer service was poor. I missed breakfast as wasn’t told what time it would be served so paid for breakfast but wasn’t able to enjoy it! Small double bed which also wasn’t said!

Nice, friendly, helpful gentleman at reception.
Close to Gatwick.
Set in lovely countryside area with good parking
No issues at all
4.5
Nice quiet location , except for the planes.
The only thing wrong with this hotel is that it is at the end ( literally) of the runway at gatwick, my room was in the roof and i could look up and see the planes about 10 second after taking off through the dormer skylight. Having said that , if you keep the windows closed , they do have very very good soundproofing glazing fitted which cuts the aircraft noise down a lot. When there are no planes , the place is very tranquil since it is down a quiet country lane in the woods. But then it is only 10 mins drive to Gatwick if you need to catch a plane in the morning.

we had the most comfortable and peaceful stay here! we are also so grateful for the manager who kept us on same floors with our group and giving us their most comfortable and spacious rooms, such lovely hospitality and a relaxing stay before a long journey ahead of us from the airport! definitely will keep this as our usual place to stay before a flight
no complaints!

It was really nice place. Room was nice and big, missing only more space for our staff. I love the mini frige and microwave. And the view from window...absolutely stunning!!!
Little details about cleaning...we had dirty spoons at tue room and dirty mirror.

Plenty of parking
No real facilities
Needed a bit of extra shower cleaning
Lousy WiFi

The bedding was clean and the room had been cleaned.
The room was very cold when I entered the room. There was a small fan heater available as the only heating. Using the fan heater for any time caused the plug to get hot. There were broken tiles in the bathroom and the hot water took a very long time to come through.. There was no plug in the sink and the room was very small. G04 was the room
