Hotel 1697 was in a great location in the heart of town. Breakfast was delicious.
El Zopilote Brewing Company & Restaurant right next to hotel had amazing food.
I would recommend the pool access rooms.
4.5
Second floor above the pool very very nice . Make sure you don’t get a room by the brewery ; small and not very private . Breakfast was good as well . Location is limited on parking but right in the middle of shops and restaurants
A bit pricey but we’ll worth it on the second floor

We had the front room, which was very noisy.
3.5
Loved the pool area. Great room with fridge and balcony. Breakfast included is nice. Great location in the square.
Internet signal is not dependable. Check in is odd since you go to the restaurant but everyone was nice. Pricey but it is at the square. Remember they do NOT offer any parking. Be very careful around the pool if your feet are wet you risk a bad fall since it's very slippery.

Loved the pool, location & breakfast
Our room did not meet expectations. First of all as soon as we checked in to the moment we checked out there was no internet available. Secondly be aware that the access to two of their rooms is right next to the bar and to reach the pool you have to go out and around from the street. It was "cave like." If you stay here make sure you find out which room you will be assigned. We had stayed here in the past and had a great experience but no clue for the price we would get this type of room. It might be good if it was a very hot day and you want to hide. The hotel needs to insure the guest know the location of this room. The only benefit was it was large. Do not count on parking on site.

They were willing to check us in early. Staff was pleasant and friendly
The hotel is centered around a very small pool and eating area and you hear every person, especially the drunk loud ones who yell until after midnight. The pool chairs are not relaxing because they are just sitting on hard wood.

comfortable clean fab location atmospheric

Excellent location right on the main plaza square, though it can be a bit noisy with the brew pub attached, and with musicians playing in the square on some nights. But we loved being in the heart of all the action, so it was perfect for us.
Breakfast was amazing. Craft beer and food was exceptional. Great staff who went out of their way to fix our tv remote.
Rooms in front of the hotel are incredibly well designed, but a tad small. Though the attached deck/seating area made up for it and we certainly had everything we needed within.

very nice!
close to everything! great staff! excellent breakfast!
4.5
Centrally located in town. The breakfast is nicely done. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable king bed.
Dead bugs were squashed on walls then left on the walls. The dead bugs should be washed off.
4.5
Excellent location with a very pleasant surprise learning it was adjacent to a small brewing company. Would not hesitate in staying again. Steps from town square which made it very convenient.

ambiance was excellent-small boutique hotel
location-within walking distance to beach, grocery, shopping, all type restaurants, etc
would have liked outside ceiling fans on private veranda & in the breakfast area
3.5
Location is great, walk access is no problem within a mile radius.
My wife and I are 80 plus, in good shape, that would be why we chose a ground level room. Unfortunately the second night it rained quite hard and the roof leaked above our bed! And there was a mini flood on the floor. The rest of our stay was in an upgraded second floor room. Considerably better than originally booked. My point is: If I wanted the upgraded room I would have booked it. Not been forced, as it was due to bad maintenance that revealed the truth. So up and down stairs in a 100F is not easy.

We loved the location, the pool/courtyard area, the attached brewery and the brewery staff were so kind and helpful. There's a water heater which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The breakfast was kind of gross; greasy scrambled eggs, beans out of a bag and some tortillas. There was also fresh fruit but this was limited on our second day.

This location is great and the property is very well kept. The included breakfast was more than expected and bonus restaurant/brewery in front has great food and beverages.
Our bed was very hard and uncomfortable with minimal bedding. Pool needs to be skimmed more often for bees and such.

It would be nice to have pool service when hanging out in the back

great location, nice, clean, comfortable rooms, great complimentary breakfast!
Our room was dark and the lamps did not give adequate light to read easily even during the day.

The location was really great and the staff meeting was welcoming and professional. They even offered a free welcoming drink! I had a small double bed room but it felt pretty cosy. The included breakfast was made fresh.
The people that thought that th pool was theirs and blasted their bad American rock music.
