The best break away

The staff really made this for my daughter and I. We were made to feel like longstanding friends instead of patrons/guests. The room was spotless, the bed was comfy, it was roomy, lots of character, breakfast was outstanding and so was the food in the evening. It is right by the quayside and close to everything. Absolutely everything and more for a totally relaxing 2 nights away. Would have stayed longer if I could have! Would highly recommend though do feel I'd love to keep this gem to myself!

Room a good size. Staff excellent. Pub fantastic. Location is great.

Bathroom was large enough that a separate shower should be installed, instead of having a shower over bath. Bed very creaky.

Friendly, great food and well worth a stay

From start to finish we had a great time. The main hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We had an evening meal which was great and all staff were friendly. The bed was so comfortable and the room was clean and had all we needed and more. The morning breakfast was amazing and relaxed. We had a great time. Thankyou!

There were no improvements needed for me.

Interesting building with comfortable facilities and excellent staff

friendly helpful staff, good location. Original features gave building character.

parking nearby was expensive. hairdryer needs updating, only one (hot) heat setting-comment made as a genuine suggestion to improve facilities, which were otherwise good.

the room was lovely and warm and the bed was super comfy. it is situated within easy walking distance to East Looe

Amazing value and service

it was very clean, warm and the staff and the breakfast were fantastic. It was so beautiful to see the table all set just for us in the morning for breakfast, and the server was absolutely fantastic too.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent. Everything was lovely and clean and we really enjoyed our stay. We are planning to return for another visit.

Classic olde world pub stay in town centre

Atmosphere. Room. Good breakfast.Vibrant town location and close to river but located far enough away to miss big crowds. However it's still a pub (!!!!) with all the noises and timings that involves.

A perfect base to explore Looe and the surrounding villages with the perfect hosts.

Lovely and friendly ,family run local public house . We had a lovely stay and we were looked after very well by Gary and Zoe and their staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Fabulous breakfast which is cooked to order and very good quality using local ingredients. Close to the village and shops. Very clean and well presented room with a four poster bed and sofa. Well stocked tea, and coffee tray which was generously replenished daily .

This is not in any way a criticism but there are a lot of stairs so not for the less mobile . However Gary was pleased to help us with our luggage as we are both pensioners and we managed the stairs well if we took our time .

Pleasent stay in oldest pub in Looe

lovely staff, very helpful. Nice ambience in pub. View from room good, overlooking river. Breakfast excellent.

Heating not always on in room so we found it chilly, especially overnight.

The staff is very friendly and hospitable, cheerful and jumpy to answer any question or give you advice. Everything was excellent . The room very clean, food very good and the size enormous 😉. We will definitely go back.

Atmosphere of pub was fun. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Location was great and the scenery around Looe and surrounding area is Cornwall at its best. Breakfast is plentiful . .

Lovely old Inn, fantastic staff, very welcoming & atmospheric also popular with the Locals

Breakfasts are huge & all individually cooked to order. Good choice, very friendly cheerful & helpful staff. Room was spacious well stocked clean & comfortable especially for such an old building, it was as charming as all the staff

Slightly disappointed with the Location as was more built up then the online photo. It was difficult to see the river as so far way & the room was booked as "A river view". But then we weren't in it during the day so it didn't spoil our stay.

Fantastic short break.

From the initial friendly greeting we had a lovely stay. Breakfast was excellent, the pub is a really nice place to eat, the room was comfortable. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay, we didn’t want to leave

Beautiful room, great location and atmosphere. Friendly staff and owners. Very clean and Covid measures all in place. Delicious breakfast , all set out beautifully. Looking forward to our next visit.
