Location was the best - private and secluded. Loved the facilities including the spa with night sky and the outdoor shower was an absolute bonus. Bicycles were a nice surprise and we loved the bush track around the grounds. Kangaroos coming to say hello was lovely. All in all absolutely fabulous.
4.5
Well appointed and spacious cottage in a serene bush setting. Quality bed linen, towels and bath robes. Clean couches, cushions and throw rugs. Nespresso coffee machine, lovely outdoor shower, walking tracks and bikes for use. Music on arrival was a nice touch, abundant bird life, and EV charger was fantastic. The cottage was very comfortable and cosy. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
The bathrooms are a little tired, but I believe are about to undergo a refurbishment. A great bush view from the shower, but a bit of frosted glass at eye view might be an idea ;)

Everything was beautifully presented; spotlessly clean and nice and new. nothing felt old and worn out, and every little detail was taken care of. We wanted for nothing, the bed was a dream, the furniture comfy and the whole weekend picturesque and peaceful Great value for money, will be back there before too long.
There was nothing to complain about, loved it all !!!

We knew we had picked a special place to stay the moment we arrived at Forest Rise. The approach to the chalets is along a beautiful tree-lined road, with fields (and kangaroos!) on either side. We arrived after the reception had closed and initially there was a slight problem finding out which chalet we were staying in. But with one phone call, it was very quickly resolved. The chalet itself was extremely spacious (for just us two!), clean and comfortable, with modern conveniences including a Nespresso coffee machine which was a lovely touch. It had a big fully equipped kitchen and a huge bathroom with a great shower and a spa bath. The bedroom was tastefully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. We loved sitting on the patio, drinking coffee and listening to the birdsong. The secluded bush setting was beautiful and peaceful. It was an escape into nature and we loved every minute of our magical stay, including a walk around the lake and star gazing at night. We even caught sight of a kangaroo passing by the chalet, which was amazing to see! We only had two nights here, and we had quite a busy itinerary in Margaret River. Needless to say, neither of us was ready to leave and we wish we could have stayed longer to experience the property and surrounding bushland walking trails. We would love to stay here again.
It's hard to come up with things we didn't like because we loved every moment of our stay. The spa was a little tricky to work but we figured it out. We also noticed the odd bug (cockroach) and quite a few ants. But it's a bushland setting, so it's to be expected. I guess the only thing we really didn't like was the fact we had to leave!

everything was provided for us prior to use getting there and required no assistance once during the whole stay.
internet is like 1mb/s. you are in the forest down south so what do you expect. this can cause some issues with the tv connection so maybe bring some shows. all the apps are super smart apps though.

The spa was amazing and a true stand out. Everything from bedroom to view was incredible.
The bikes available to us were a nice touch except one of the seats was a bit broken.

My wife and I last visited Forest Rise Eco Retreat 18 years ago, and it was where I proposed to my wife. Returning here was long overdue and it was exactly the most beautiful place as I remember, with some extra tech fruit (Google Nest) that enhances the experience. Not only are the properties set apart from one another for privacy, the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding with the Kangaroo's (hundreds), is simply stunning. Additionally the locale of the site is perfect for e.g. Margaret River, for all your dining and drinking needs, whether it be shops or one of the many outstanding wineries. Bliss, and hopefully a return visit in the much nearer future.
Absolutely nothing

Beautiful, secluded bushland stay. Quiet and peaceful.
Had issues with the spa jets.

Loved the location - so quiet and private
Midgies - but nothing that can be done about this :-)

Loved the cottage. So well appointed and comfortable. Loved the privacy. Adored the bush land location—beauty in every direction. Loved having bikes there to cycle around the trails.
A cobweb above the shower annoyed me. I cleared it away. A bit of kindling and a fire poker would have helped. The hardwood firewood was difficult to light but burns well once it’s going.

The chalet was beautiful, very private, with a large clean comfortable bed. Smart speakers installed in lounge and bathroom. Good communication from hosts requiring no personal contact with them during our stay.
The washing machine hadn't been emptied so contained the previous guests clothing. The spa jets released some black deposits during our bath.

A tranquil calming environment. Loved being amongst the trees and animals.

It was very peaceful and quiet in a lovely natural bush setting. The chalet was well appointed and the wood burner was welcome for a winter visit.
Just Needed some side tables with lamps next to the couches - to put your cup of tea!

Photos don’t do it justice, the chalet is beautiful and set amongst stunning bush land. Owners go over & above to ensure your stay is enjoyed.
Nothing, everything was perfect
