The views were the only thing that I truly enjoyed
There wasn't a lot of freedom to advture out of the resort and the very expensive go into the mainland

If you are looking for a secluded, romantic getaway, I can highly recommend Vellago Resort. The staff went above and beyond in every way. They tidy the room every time you leave, bring breakfast to your terrace, and arrange the daybeds at the beach for you. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay. The wifi in the room is good and the food is delicious. Since there are only a handful of rooms, you really feel like you have the whole place to yourself. If you are planning a trip to El Nido , you cannot miss this place!

amazing location, beautiful hotel
some of the facilities are tired, restaurant bathroom is horrible, not a fan of the multi coloured led lights. I am being fussy as overall it’s an amazing place

The STAFF was amazing from Marcello then Krisha, to Abe, Kent, Bong, Errol, Julius, John, Bern, Joey, Medin, Angelo, Warren, Ping, John, Patrick, Romulo, Marlon, and Ping.
It would have been nice to have more privacy for the bathroom/shower area.

This resort is just exceptional and special.
From the start to the end, the service is just amazing.
You feel really special as a guest here.
Welcome Drink, decorated room, sun beds, service on the beach, the dinner(!) directly in the sand.
We highly recommend this gem and we like to thank Sir Tom for building this paradise!

The view from beach front cottages are breathe taking! Clean swimmable beach. Some corals and fishes for snorkeling. Food and drinks are amazing. Loved the ceviche, seafood dishes and fresh fruits and shakes. Best calamares so far! Loved the 7 spirit cocktail. Amazing breakfast served in your private balcony overlooking the beach and islands. Romantic dinner setups by the beach. Valentines dinner was romantic and memorable even with the windy night. Staffs still made a great effort preparing and setting it up. Bed is nice and comfy. Room is clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful especially Abe in the restaurant and Marcelo in reception. The boatman was also very nice.
No electricity during daytime due to damaged solar panels but we're only informed during arrival in the resort. Guests should still be informed in advance. Wifi is very weak so had difficulty keeping in touch with family, friends and work due to this. No power no wifi during the day only but you can request that generator is turned on for a few minutes if you need a hot shower or wifi.
Day trippers from tours are allowed in the restaurant and beach in front of cottages so it doesn't feel private anymore. Heard 1 guest complaining about this one morning too. On our last day I just want to relax and enjoy my morning dip in the ocean only to be bothered by one day tripper who later joined me in the water and starts asking questions if I'm staying in the resort with whom and how much we're paying per day etc. Ignored him after and he left but it kinda ruined my chill moment.
People stay in this type of boutique island resorts because they want to chill & relax away from crowds and just enjoy the view and sound of waves I.e the beauty and tranquility of the place. If they want to continue accommodating the day trippers it's ok as long as they keep a private section of the beach and restaurant so not to bother the guests staying in the resort. For the price they're charging I hope this issues are resolved for future guests.
Also, lots of bali decorative pieces would prefer to see more philippine inspired decorations instead. Staffs are nice except one female behind the bar who seems standoffish. Resort is just 15 minutes by boat from main town and not sure if there's a night guard on duty. Would have given this resort a 10 if not because of the above issues.

Room, Service, View, Food & Drinks, Boutique Style.
Crowds being dropped off at Commando Beach and disturbing the privacy.
4.5
the location is stunning, only 5-6 beautiful rooms so it feels intimate when the tours leave the location in the afternoon, dinner on the beach, Ernie, Abe and other staff are kind and warm
some challenges being worked through post pandemic but confident will be addressed in short order; for price full vs half board more appropriate

Amazing people who work in this place. The view from the villa is incredible. The food is delicious. It’s difficult to describe how charming this resort is.

all excursions where sold at a very high price

The place is amazing!!! The stuff is super friendly and there to help with every problem or request.
The room are comfortable and have all you need in there. The location is the highlight. The breakfast is very good.
There is no door from toilet to the room. So that was not convenient sometimes.
Also the resort is the only place you can eat, the kitchen is high quality but the food is very expensive compared to the rest of the Philippines. Justed or not, you decide.

- amazing view from the beach villa
- very polite and helpful staff
- breakfast in the room and dinner on the beach
- comfortable bed
- very expensive: room / tours

- open bathroom, difficult to have privacy, especially when you’re not with your boyfriend.
- very small beach
- too many other tourists coming all day long

The staff and the owners were so kind, warm, hospitable, respectful, and thoughtful. The staff were exceptionally professional but still warm and sweet. The owners did above and beyond in organising a last minute short trip to the lagoons for us with champagne and sunset as a treat for our anniversary. We felt so special!
The rooms we had was the honeymoon suite and it exceeded our expectations. The photos online do not do it justice. It was bohemian chic/ luxury and very romantic. The room and the surroundings are very clean and fresh. We will definitely visit again! 🌟

Amazing experience. We stayed for one night only as we are traveling around El Nido but we will come back for sure.
From the food, to the service, to the view… everything was amazing.
The staff is very nice and the owners are lovely too.

it was the perfect honeymoon experience. from arrival to departure, their service was exceptional!

From the moment we booked the villa, they were in constant communication with us to make sure of smooth transfer and check-in. We were picked up by a pre-arranged transfer service at the airport and were brought to Corong-Corong beach for our boat transfer. Since we arrived earlier than check-in time, we were informed that the room is not yet ready. We totally understand as it was too early. But they worked hard for us to be able to rest.
After 2 hours, the room was ready and oh my, the Beach Villa was spectacular! And it doesn't end there. The staff is so attentive which makes our stay so special. They go the extra mile each day to make sure we enjoy our vacation.
Every dinner time, we see different special set up by the beach and the menu is tailored-fit to customer satisfaction. We commend Joey for always bringing us the best drink ever.
Herwin and Marko are your best buddies within the resort. Not to mention the friendliest dogs, Bella, Whity, Brownie and Blacky. We missed them already.
Thank you for making my wife happy during her special day. Happy is an understatement. You guys are all special. Vellago is a gem!
None! Everything was perfect!

I would like start by applauding everyone who works at the Vellago Resort. Their service (on every level) was perfect. The staff make you feel like you're their first and only guest. We didn't only leave our seven day stay with priceless memories, we left with deep gratitude for meeting and getting to know the staff who made us feel at home.
Location: You won't find a better view in the world. Being located on 7 Commandos Beach, everywhere you look is white sand, exotic plants and vegetation, region specific wildlife, emerald ocean and magnificent limestone rock formations unique to this area. It will exceed your expectations.
Food and service: We loved being served breakfast each morning on our private balcony over looking the water. Dinner was served in the beach bar and on the beach with a beautiful table setup that varied each evening. The service, food and drink were exceptional. The menu offers something for everyone. We particularly loved the fresh fish (the mackerel was superb), fried calamari, pizza and chicken wings (which are not typical pub wings...), and the cocktails and local beer were wonderful.
Accommodation: Our room was very comfortable and well equipped with A/C, coffee machine, fresh water, mosquito netting and wifi (to list a few). The bed was great, the shower was perfect and the room service was on point. Each day our room was discreetly cleaned and setup, and the same thing happened in the evening with the turndown service. Much appreciated! The only thing we felt we could have used more of was room to unpack our clothes, but this won't matter to everyone - it depends on how much you bring and how long you stay.
Activities: We took the island hoping Tour A (a must) that was organized by the resort with tour guides who are local to the island, which added a level of comfort and trust when doing certain activities.
We will be back. We loved everything we did and everyone we met. Thank you Vellago Resort!

It was our third trip to El Nido and the first time to stay in Vellago Resort. It is a private resort with small number of rooms and staffs are all very kind and nice. Great hospitality. Room was clean and comfortable with absolutely beautiful view. Complimentary shampoos and teas were of good quality. I knew from the review that the food was good but it was beyond our expectation. Obviously they had a very good chef and we enjoyed every meal, especially seafood and chicken soup. They were very kind to even fix my sandal, which was broken during our stay there.
We loved the stay and have no dissatisfaction. If we rather say, transportation from the airport to the port needed additional charge(though the cruise from the port to the resort was included). Though the room had a great coffee machine, the charger did not match the room electrical plug type for some reason and we couldn't use it.

Beautiful boutique style hotel, with pretty interiors. Amazing staff with great service, very friendly they made us feel welcome and looked after. The food in the Resteraunt was outstanding. I would highly recommend staying here. The views were also fantastic. Great place for couples - very romantic

Very attentive staff - couldn't do enough for you. The rooms had superb views, the bar and beach areas are very well set out. It was very well catered for the entire trip.
Beware of the timings for the boat back from the town - quite restrictive if you had ideas of an evening in El Nido town.

The best of hotel in El Nido. Amazing place and staff. It was second honeymoon for us. Great breakfast in your balcony. Private beach with white sand. Very nice snorkeling - all is the best.
Nothing.
