A piece of Paradise.

An exceptional experience. A beautiful cabin in a peaceful location with amazing views. A wonderful place to sit with a glass of wine and look out over the fields. Waking up to birdsong is also an additional bonus. Fleur is a wonderful hostess and visits from the dog Salty just add to the pleasure of staying at Candlebark. There are also many books - in fact so many books and not enough time - and DVDs to while away the hours if it's bad weather.

Ideal for a Quiet Getawy near Beechworth.

A very quiet and cleen cottage in a secluded location 6 kms from Beechworth. Our host was very friendly, and responded quickly to a small prblem with the smoke alarm - which was unavoidable at the time.

Nothing to dislike about this property, and the hosts were very attantative when contacted durin our stay.

Quiet, relaxing and comfortable.

The location was amazing, set amongst paddocks and trees with views of surrounding hills. The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. Easy to locate and close to Beechworth.

The shower and kitchen were a little small, but understandable given the design of the cabin.

Peaceful and picturesque

Very quiet and private. The bird life is amazing and the scenery beautiful. Short drive to town, away from the hustle and bustle.

Superb

We loved the seclusion of the property away from busy Beechworth. 1 other thing I would like to add but wasn't major. The bed size was queen and so was the doona. When your partner is a little bigger than you, and especially in Winter, it's nice to have a bit more doona to cover you. King Doona would have been better suited.

What we didn't like was the weather, out of the hands of the property.

Cosy,spacious house in the middle of nature near town

Everything from the warm welcome from Fleur, to the privacy, being totally surrounded by nature in a gorgeous house which had been supplied with everything you would need for comfort and convenience. Sitting on the veranda under the grape vine, listening to the birds was heaven. All within about a 5 minute drive to Beechworth.

Nothing, except not staying longer.

Sooo quiet. Surrounded by nature and wildlife galore. Salty, the one-eyed dog, was a great companion. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed.

Water pressure in the shower was poor. Limited internet connection.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was quiet, surrounded by stunning scenery, and only a short drive away from the town centre. We were warmly welcomed by the host and their delightful dogs. The place is well-equipped, cozy and very clean.

We loved every moment at Candlebark. It has a beautiful energy.

We arrived to this quiet oasis and were met by Salty (Fleur's beautiful dog). The cabin was unlocked and everything we needed was there, including a note from Fleur. This place was magic for us. Enter via your own driveway. It feels as though you are on your own property. Air, trees, paddocks, horses, a lovely verandah at the front and the rear.

I am sure one day when we return, Fleur would have installed a fireplace and a small oven.

Ah, the Serenity!

Nothing not to like.

Candlebark is a very quiet, peaceful property. The cabin sits amidst paddocks and the vineyard. It is comfortably set up. The location is in easy access to a variety of sites worth visiting. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

A lovely farm retreat!

Delightful cottage studio on picturesque farm location surrounded by garden, wineyard & cozy firepit overlooking the view. Cottage was clean, warm and well furnished with everything we could need. Communication was reliable and prompt and we had no issues at all.
