Stressless check in and a very clean room, close to downtown.

Everything went smoothly. Great location and car park.

I would appreciate a plunger and ground coffee beans

Clean but whiffy

The room was clean, relatively comfortable and a big size. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My room had an overwhelmingly unpleasant smell and I could tell whether it was coming from the room or the very small window. Either way it stuck for the duration of my stay. Potentially was a result of cleaning chemicals used.

Familiar with Quests in NZ - this one lets the brand down a bit.

Central location, good options of accommodation.

This facility is a bit lacking in maintenance & cleanliness compared to other Quests. The check in chap was a bit sullen. I would have expected better as it is pretty pricey. There's not a lot of choice in Whangarei & they are probably capitalising on that a bit. Will probably not stay again.

Motel room was very comfortable.

The property advertised parking. It doesn’t say you have to pre book it. I arrived at 11 pm to be told by the after hours people that the parking was full and that I would have to leave my car on the road. The parking was not full.

Great facility in a central location and easy access.

The room was excellent, however in the early hours of the morning seriously extremely loud music from a clib or rave bar near by came blasting through the building and room. As a safety professional I estimated the noise in excess of 150db and lasted for sveral hours.

bad access , no reception after 5 pm, poor value for the high cost, very basic bathroom , shower and No shower cap. nothing but free tv channels. 😫

Worst Quest I’ve ever stayed at & one of the most expensive!

Good condition & lovely staff

If there are no windows in the bedrooms there should be air con in them. Lounge was not comfortable. There was some noisy night club below us.

Very helpful assistance and central location

The staff were brilliant, helpful, courteous & polite. Couldn't recommend them more highly.

Unfortunately there was a bad chemical smell in the main lounge / Kictchen area.

the location is perfect, but the parking is a nightmare. I guess it’s one of the worst Quest in NZ because of the facility. the service and staff are great.

I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED! DONT BOOK HERE RUDE STAFF

Friendly receptionist - very helpful

The team leader receptionist was rude and terrible to deal with. After a misunderstanding with the number of guests in our booking (my husband made our booking and he usually doesnt, so he booked the wrong no. of guests) I rectified as soon as I got to reception. I dealt with an extremely distespectful, rude, team leader receptionist who made me feel profiled, interrogated and untrustworthy. Asking "how can we trust you? We have cameras everywhere we can see what you do. We will charge you for extra guests, we have your credit card." Obviously I just agreed to the number of guests with you and by using your nifty cameras you will be able to see that I am telling the truth?! After being fed up with the way I was being talked to I told them to cancel my booking I dont want to be paying for a place where someone talks to me like a donkey. Do you talk to all your guests this way? Or only certain guests. Would be beneficial to train your staff on customer services instead of hiring someone off the street! I want my money refunded. Parking was a mission to get to, off street parking was just as terrible - had to go around the block 4 times just to find a place to park so I could come and check in.

Exceptional

The check-in process was easy even though we came on Christmas Eve, the cleanliness and comfort of the room and the TV provided so many free movies to chose from. In addition, the room and bathroom were spacious and there was also a kitchen that came with all the necessities.

It was a bit difficult to find the entrance and parking garage. We didn't know we could/should have purchased a parking spot and so when we discovered the parking garage, we couldn't get our room key to work to get access even though we did call to ask for access. The annoying part too was that we found out we were charged for calls made to the front desk, it was extremely minimal but just kind of weird and something that we were not used to.

Large room with good kitchen facilities.

There was no-one there check in or check out and no instructions in advance until arrived at a locked door! Had to work out where to go and the area next to the closed reception had a huge leaking ceiling. The place is noisy due to the intersection road outside and the facilities are dated. This was one of the more expensive places we stayed and one of the worst.

Exceptional

Very nice room with a great kitchen. Check in and out seamless, very friendly and happy staff. The location was superb, right in the heart of town - didn't have any issues with noise. Room and hallways extremely clean , appreciated having an oven and washing machine

Parking situation isn't great - perfectly fine for us as we prebooked and would recommend it for anyone staying but could be an issue for people not prebooking the parking.
