Great stay at El Morro, beautiful view on Almejal beach and Monica is very helpful with the tours, booking the transfers and getting to know this beautiful region of Colombia

This is a really lovely place and I had a brilliant stay here. Monica is very friendly and helpful and makes great breakfasts. Luna and the cats are also great company.

The Best Views and location to Relax and Disconnect

The views of the beach are spectacular from our room and social spaces. Everything was very comfortable, and an extremely relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits and juices cereals and eggs how you like, good coffee etc. Monica was such a great host and so helpful about organising tours and recomendations of where to eat.

Wonderful stay at El Morro. The location and ocean outside the window was world class.

Wonderful hosts, absolutely loved the breakfasts. Be sure to try Monica’s star fruit jam!

Idyllic

Very helpful owners (fluent in English) helped arrange trips, gave useful advice and friendly conversation. Location is amazing and the building is very unique. Definitely worth visiting this area whilst places like this still exist 👍.

Beautiful place, great hospitality!

Monica and Jupi were fabulous hosts, very caring and attentive, helping us to book tours, and giving good recommendations. The location on the beach is the best in the area. Breakfast was plentiful. This is the best place you can stay in the Bahia Solano area.

Would be good to fix the lock on the bathroom door, that’s all! and just a heads up that the area is quite remote without many shops, so bring plenty of mosquito repellant, and any snacks if you have dietary requirements e.g vegan (the local restaurants mainly serve fish and rice) :)

Amazing, but you have to be able to live without a few comforts you are used to

Amazing location

Connection between the hotel and beach restaurants. Not something the hotel is responsible for but with high tide it can be difficult to get back to the hotel.

Best place to stay on playa el almejal

Best view of playa el Almejal from your windows, and a lovely room that is well furnished. Monica and Jupi were tremendous hosts and I will miss them!

We felt it was the perfect place to relax and explore the area.

Monica and Juipe made us feel right at home. They have built a beautiful B&B right next to the beach. it has the best views with multiple levels to relax on. Every guest is given their own hammock to relax in and we are able to cook in the kitchen as we please. the bedrooms were very comfortable with great ocean views and protective mosquito nets. we really enjoyed our stay! Monica also helped organise various tours so that we could go whale watching and explore the ational park Utria, see the waterfalls of El Tigre and know where to eat.

The wifi was a bit unstable and we at times couldn’t access it. but this was a minor point as most of the time r were out and about or enjoying the views.

Welcome to paradise!

This Hotel is an absolute gem in a hidden paradise. The view out of each room is amazing, it feels like sleeping right in the ocean. You could sit there for hours and just watch the waves or - if you are lucky - the whales passing by. The whole building is colourful and you will find everything you need right there. Every room has running water, a proper toilet and a shower with warm water.u Monica is just lovely, she helped us with transportation, excursions and was always up for a conversation. The provided breakfast is delicious and also available as take away for excursions. We had a brilliant time - thank you for having us!

The Hill B&B has the best view of all the places in El Valle. The hosts are super nice and the rooms are very spacious and clean. We absolutely loved our stay here.

Overlooks a beautiful beach and has the comforts expected for the area.

Beach...Local food was good (fish is excellent) along with the coconut ice cream in town. The town readily accepts tourists and leaves them to explore on your own. I felt safe at all times.

This is not an area of many comforts. The ride from the airport is rough roads and humidity is tough on the body. The accommodations are plenty comfortable and accommodating, but 3-star at best. These are not things that I dislike, just things to be aware of.

A magical location to help you escape the modern world.

The property could not have been more perfect! The location provided the best views of the beach, as well as equal access to the amenities of town and the adventures of the coast. The owners Monica and Jupi were tremendous hosts and their pets, especially their sweet dog Luna, made the experience truly unforgettable.

The location is amazing- the views on every direction make this a special place- the rooms are large and bright. We walked around and explored different hotels- but we definitely liked the Hill the best. Mónica and Jupi are great hosts who will give you all the info you need The breakfast was very nice- the papaya here is super sweet and juicy

Shame they don’t offer dinner, but there are some decent offerings nearby.

We enjoyed our stay of 5 nights very much, and we definitely recommend the Hill! The view is unbelievably incredible from at least 3 spots. Monica, Youpi, Luna the dog and the cats welcomed us very well! We actually would love to go back, and we might ;) Thank you again!

Exceptional

Monica and Jupi are great hosts. Super nice people that have helped us arrange our tours directly with the local community (no commission, just because they are committed to help both you as a guest and their community best they can). The room was great, direct view of the sea and beach. We loved the quiet town (we were there outside of whale season) of El Valle and our stay at El Morro Hosteria, and will recommend it to anyone going to Colombia.

To be expected everywhere in El Valle, but the shower was cold (but in that heat and humid air that was usually not a problem).

The perfect spot to relax and enjoy.

We had a wonderful stay at El Morro! Amazing space overlooking the beach and the perfect hosts! Thank you so much Monica and Jupi! You made us feel so welcome and at home. Lovely breakfasts, great conversation and thank you for organising tours for us!
