Place was spacious, clean and confortable
We liked the bathroom very much
We have everything we needed.
We suggest that a small table and chairs for meals.

Location
Cost for what we got - couldn’t even get ice. Bed was not comfortable and had to wash any dishes we used. For the price we paid - wow!
4.5
Very nice large room with friendly welcome and simple, quick checkin/out.
The price is on the high side but typical for the area - very touristy location.
4.5
Comfortable and convenient
Met my needs. Nobody around to check in or out but the dyi process was super easy and also convenient. Just drop key in box and goodbye. Wish we had breakfast recommendations

Beautiful room, cozy, big.
There was no one in the front desk.

Large room, very clean. Small kitchenette area with some plates and dishes. Great furnishings-loved the rusticness of the place. Location was off main road, easy to find, very close to shops/restaurants.
Noisy neighbors in next room but that is not the hotel's fault.

Very clean room. Friendly staff. Had a much better finish than your “traditional “ room.

Great staff. Clean and comfortable room.

Even though the park was closed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable.
It was great. We had the whole town to ourselves.

Location is great to North Entrance of Yellowstone NP—when it is able to be accessed and reopened. Room was big, bed comfortable. Liked having a microwave, small fridge and counter space in the room. Front desk staff, when on the property were very helpful and pleasant.
Over-priced for the room. Still used COVID policy that hotel staff would not have contact with guests but could call if had needs. I understand that summer is prime season—even with closure of North Entrance because of the flood but rates are high.

We loved our stay.

406 Lodge was very flexible with a last minute flight change that resulted in a change to our plans. Also, they provided bear spray at no charge for our backcountry camping trip and held our regular luggage for 3 days while we were in the wilderness. They are very, very nice and accommodating. I'd recommend this place to anyone traveling to Gardiner/Yellowstone.

The property was very clean and a convenient location to Yellowstone. I was very surprised at how big the room was. Everything looked new inside and was well maintained. They thought of everything to make an extra special stay.

This place exceeded my expectations. As soon as I walked into the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room is huge. We had two queens. The beds were amazingly comfortable. I felt like I was in my own home and bed. The room was also very pretty and had that rustic Montana feel. 10 all the way around!
Absolutely nothing it was great!

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was! At first, we were thinking that since the hotel was in Gardiner, MT that it could just charge an arm and a leg without offering much, but it was actually a very clean, nice, and comfortable place.

Very clean and comfortable. Felt more like a home than a hotel. Owner was awesome and helpful. Definite rebook for us.
Nothing. Loved it.

A very comfortable and “rustic” setting. New, clean, attractive, comfortable, nicely decorated, spacious for two, nicely situated to the Yellowstone North Gate, restaurants, coffee, etc. Better looking on the inside than the outside. I recommend it.
I felt it was a bit pricey for the type of hotel it is. Maybe I should compare the pricing of this establishment to the other hotels in Gardiner, but it’s priced like it’s in a bigger/fancier town/location. Also (small point), there’s no tables or coffee tables in the room. I believe every rental location should have a place to set up a computer or eat a snack. The room is spacious, so there’s no shortage on space. I’m glad I stayed there and will go there again.

Location is good.
Lack of hangers and closet space

Very good location outside of Yellowstone. Clean and comfortable. Restaurants and bars within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved the space and would definitely stay there again. The space was bigger than we expected which we loved. The location was great!
They asked us to wash the dishes before we left but there was no dishwashing liquid. Luckily we had some with us. When walking around in stocking feet the floors were dirty, however everything else was perfect.

Room was spacious and clean. Loved having the small refrigerator with small freezer for drinks and ice packs for our trip. Located close to the north Yellowstone gate.
Only negative about the room - since we were on the ground floor and someone checked in around midnight so we had bright headlights shine into our room and then could hear the suitcases being wheeled overhead.
4.5
Very nice decor
Had some trouble with door lock and not much parking

The location was good for us, close to many restaurants within walking distance. The room was large and was nice to have a small kitchen if you plan to stay longer, they supplied a few things, paper plates, cups, etc.
The only real issue we had was I didn't feel like the room was super clean, I had dropped some water on the floor and after wiping it up, the towel I used was very, very, dirty. I did call the manager, who was also the owner, she came up right away to clean our entire room again. She felt terrible and took care of the situation with grace and understanding which we really appreciated. Very nice owner that takes great pride in her property. We did missed having a closet, they did have a hat rack that we used for some of our stuff but since we were staying just one night it wasn't a huge deal breaker. Might be if someone was staying longer.

Room seemed clean and fresh. Really liked theme. Also was peaceful and quiet the one night we stayed.
Nothing noted as didn't like

The room was close to restaurants, stores and the gate to Yellowstone. We stayed 2 non consecutive nights in two different rooms, and although both rooms were nice the second room on the top floor seemed a little newer/ renovated. Both rooms had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Great to make a quick breakfast.
The a/c and heat worked well. Beds were comfortable and bathroom amenities ample. We would definitely recommend as a good home base to explore Yellowstone.
