Hard to get better bang for buck.

Amazing hospitality, small gifts all along, very attentive host with suggestions for any potential activity. Spotless, perfectly equipped suites, especially kitchen, spacious and top quality furniture. Bed feels like heaven.

perfect stay in the south of Crete

The villa is very nice, the interior is modern and looks amazing. Andrew does everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The surrounding area is pretty empty and there are some abandoned buildings. But it’s a general thing on Crete.

For those who prefer quiet and not crowdlike stays.

Quiet and cozy apartment very close to the beach (less then 100 meters). Andrew is available 24/7.

Just a recommendation: nothing to do without car, but it is typical for whole Crete.

Exceptional

Fully equipped, brand new apartment. Very nicely decorated and clean. Located in a very quiet block, without any outside noise. Only one minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Very professional, attentive and responsive host. We had a great stay and would recommend Tarsia and Kalamaki to anyone.

A magical place

Tarsia Homes & Suites is such a magical place! We stayed in one of the apartments with four people and were all absolutely in love with the huge beautiful terrace, the two spacious bed- & bedrooms and with the interior design overall. The kitchen comes fully equipped and we even found food in the fridge when we arrived. The manager, Andrew, is very friendly and responsive with any needs you might have! His grandma even baked cake for us and we received a little goodbye presents. The hospitality here is just amazing and they really thought of everything - there is a washing machine, first aid kits, books and magazines, enough closet space, very comfortable beds and everything was super clean. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and luxurious stay in Kreta!!

Perfect place!

We loved everything there. The apartment was big, very nicely decorated and very clean. Andrew is a great host. We felt like at home there. It is very close to the beach and to restaurants. We will definitely come back.

Exceptional

Great house, very confortable and very well equipped. The swimming pool has been greatly appreciated ! Everything is done by Andrew and his mother to make your stay unforgettable. Thank you one more time for your kindness ;) Close to the seaside, restaurants and easy to visit points of interest all around ( Matala, Phaistos...)

Wonderful place for family vacation

We absolutely loved the house. It's located 15 meters from the beach, included everything we needed in terms of utilities. Our host, Andrew, was very welcoming, answered all our questions and helped with arrangement of a boat trip. Welcoming gifts and homemade cakes were amazing! :) Kalamaki village is a great place for family vacation

Amazing relaxing vacation

Location is perfect for a relaxing holiday, one can sleep with open windows and hear the sea but nothing else. Great tavernas and beach in very short walking distance. Good location to explore the sights nearby, Matala, Phaistos, etc. Apartment is beautifully designed and very well equipped, having great panoramic view to the sea and mountains. I got a very warm welcome by the host, thanks Andrew! Welcome gifts and local home made specialities also made my stay amazing in Kalamaki.

Excellent stay at Roseta!

I stayed with two friends in the Roseta apartment. Andrew met us with the keys even though our flight had been delayed which was very kind. The rooms were large and the living area was well sized. Although we didn't use the outside area much due to it being shaded and we wanted to be in the sun, it was excellent - a very comfy hammock, outdoor cooking area and large seating area. Definitely more room than the three of us needed - which is always nice. The kitchen had all the appliances you could need (apart from a Kettle-we just boiled water). The best thing - literally a 1-2 minutes walk away from the beach and the sea which was amazing! We were kindly provided beat towels which was a real plus. We did hire a car to check out other local places and there was a safe parking area with an electric gate which gave us peace of mind. Andrew was very helpful, always ready to give recommendations and help us if needed. He kindly provided us with Raki, olive oil and baked goods from his grandmother which was a lovely touch. Being from the UK and following certain covid requirements we found Andrew more than willing to help in everyday. We had a great time at Roseta! The Kalamki area was very quiet and relaxing with a variety of similar restaurants along the front - we went to three and found that the Delphine (recommended by Andrew) and Grigos were the best. We were about a 15 mins drive from the closet 'big' supermarket where we bought lunch and water. But there was a smaller supermarket about a 10 min walk along the front in the centre of Kalamaki village - we would get essentials and croissants there - yum. We did hire a car and found that useful to visit Matala (good beach and caves are worth a wonder) and had supper at Scala which was nice - it's a bit bigger/buzzier there.

It was ever so slightly windy on the day we arrived - this is uncontrollable, but thinking of things we didn't like was hard. A kettle would have been useful for us Brits but otherwise all good. When we booked on booking.com we didn't quite realise that there were four separate units - we jut judged by the pictures, we should have read more closely and realised what we had booked (it was still good, don't worry!!) - I recommend the Tarisa website which makes it much clearer than Booking.com does.

Just perfect!

Andrew was an excellent host. From the very nice greeting to the nice little touches like homemade cake, everything was just perfect. The property is quiet and right on the beach. The equipment is excellent, everything is there what you could want. Thank you for a very nice vacation.

Amazing stay

We stayed here for 5 days to end our honeymoon. We were greeted by Andrew who couldn’t do enough for us and made it clear he was available 24/7 throughout our stay. The property was out of this world and on arrival we were greeted with a floating tray in the pool with wine, chocolates, flowers and inside a hamper of Greek produce, oil, Raki, olives, honey etc aswel as water and juice. A really nice touch. We stayed in the ‘Ampelos’ suite which had its own pool. Kalamaki is a lovely little town with a few little shops, a mini market and about 12 restaurants. You may need to rent a car to get around but as we had our own pool we didn’t plan on venturing far out anyway. We will definitely be returning. Thankyou Andrew for a lovely stay

Welcome Home

Beautiful, fully equipped and new Appartement, 1 min from the beach of Komos. Andrew, the owner, made our stay even more enjoyable, helping us with everything and bringing us gifts and pastery from his grandma! 🤍 thank you, we can’t wait to be back!

Due to COVID there was no cleaning in short stays, but it is not a minus for us.

Beyond expectations

We absolutely loved staying at Tarsia! The home was exquisite; comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Our favourite part was the gorgeous terrace with views of the ocean! Andrew was a superb and attentive host who went out of his way to attend to all our wishes. We loved his grandmother's homemade cakes which he brought us! We had a magical time!

Amazing Vacation Home

this vacation home is amazing. the location is perfect. just a few steps to the beach. the outside area with a grill and a very large stone table is super nice. There is also an outdoor shower. we haven't found anything to complain about. Many thanks to the grandmother for the delicious cake that we got as a welcome present. four of us lived in the house, the space is more than enough. Many thanks to Andrew, he was always available to answer any questions.

Relaxing holidays

We have spent 8 days at Tarsia and it was a fantastic experience! We loved the place very much, it was exactly as beautiful and comfortable as the pictures showed. The apartment was absolutely new, very stylish and exquisitely decorated, the kitchen had everything we needed. When we arrived a delicious fruit plate and a bottle of wine were waiting for us in the fridge and during our 8 day stay every now and then Andrew would treat us with different local products leaving them on the balcony for us to try! That was very thoughtful and unexpected! The beach is just around the corner, 30m away from the apartment. You can have sunbeds for free if you order a drink from the nearby restaurant. The sunsets in Kalamaki are amazing! The entrance to the water is not that easy due to the rocks and the sea can be quite rough. Because of the waves I would say that the sea is for confident swimmers only, if you are not a good swimmer or have small kids, then this might turn out difficult for you. The beach was very empty during our stay in the beginning of September, not sure if due to Covid or if it is always like that. Overall our stay at Tarsia was very relaxing and peaceful and I came back fully recharged and happy.

I loved everything about the apartment! The only thing that could have been better was the sea in particular less waves. But Tarsia can do nothing with that =)

Perfect!

Tarsia is the most perfect find, like a little slice of heaven. Everything was brand new or at least it felt it. The owners were the nicest hosts I’ve ever come across, delivering home cooked treats cooked by the grandmother every other day! Kalamaki is a beautiful untouched Greek village, the sea is warm, the waves are huge and there’s about 10 tavernas along the beach front. Even sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand! We had the most wonderful week and cannot wait time visit again. The beach is 10 steps from Tarsia, you can even hear the sea when sitting by the pool!

The apartment has a beautiful sea view. It is tastefully decorated. Andrew and his mother are always available. They offered us during the whole stay local products (fruits, honey, homemade cakes ...). Kalamaki is a perfect location to visit this area. We recommend this location at 2000% !!!
