Location and layout
Beds were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. It actually ruined our stay as we didn’t sleep for 4 night.
3.5
Nice and clean and good location
Hot in bedrooms even with fans.
Too many warning notes around property. Was hard to find even with notes given to us but I called owner and he told me the way.
3.0
Property was well kept and clean.
The owner clearly has had issues with people in the past - the note in the dishwasher saying it doesn’t work and making mention it was never advertised saying it had one. The rude note above the sink saying I know you are holiday but clean up after yourself or you’ll be charged a fee - not welcoming at all!
Shower door doesn’t close properly causing water to go everywhere

The property was in the perfect location. Close to the shops, cafes and restaurants. The apartment was perfect for a family. Very clean and comfortable, with lovey little touches. Would stay here again.
Nothing

The location was good.
The stress of getting out and not being able to do a final check. As you get locked out right on 10am. Dishwasher not working and washing machine was not user friendly.

We loved the location and the property was lovely and clean with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. I must mention David our host was so lovely to deal with. We will definitely stay again, highly recommended.
Nothing.

Clean and convenient. Good and comfortable bedding. Enjoy the coffee and tea.

nothing. the owner is a rude obnoxious person who refused us entry on the eve of our wedding.
the fact that Mr hissy fit would not let us in after a 2 hour drive.

Great location, 2 minute walk to main street shops and restaurants, child friendly beach, markets.
Large balcony with outdoor table setting and beach views.
Lots of supplies, tea, coffee :), condiments etc.
Excellent comms from very helpful and pleasant owner
Aircon in the bedrooms, although both bedrooms were fitted with ceiling fans
Perhaps a small bbq on the balcony

Nothing. it could have done with a few platters

Nice and quiet, very clean and great location.

Great view, great location, modern apartment with all facilities. Comfortable beds, easy access, great parking.
The water in the shower was not very hot and with no heating in the bathroom this made it not a great experience.
3.0
The apartment was clean, comfortable and in a good location. It was also fairly quiet at the end of the block, with good heating options (considering it was in the middle of winter).
Communication from the host is off-putting, to be honest. I received about 24 emails prior to the stay, a long form I had to fill out and initial on every other page, as well as had to share photos of my drivers license. There were a lot of rules and regulations supplied, with a lot of warnings that breaking of said rules would result in fines and fees. While the form states that this is because the hosts have been burned in the past by other guests, it’s very stressful which is the last thing you need when you’re looking to escape the daily grind with a restful weekend away. I also couldn’t get into the lockbox using my lockbox pin because I randomly received a new pin by email which replaced the previously generated pin (which had been issued the night before I was due to check in). Again, this was stressful as I had been driving to the island and not checking my emails after saving everything I’d received previously in preparation of the stay.
I should also add the hot water in the shower wasn’t very hot and more tepid even on the hottest setting, and the dishwasher wasn’t working at the time of our stay.
While I understand the need for reasonable communication/rules to be there to protect the apartment and the hosts, it is unreasonable to be hosting a rental in a holiday destination that requires four pages of a contract to be signed and initialed. The communications/documents are also generated using an app that wasn’t user friendly and generated extremely lengthy emails which were unwieldy and made it difficult to locate specific information on the apartment.

The apartment is perfect for 4 people! Very comfortable and well equipped. The queen bed in the master was very comfortable. The two twin beds in room 2 were firm. We couldn't figure out the fancy combo washer/dryer unit but no biggie. Wonderful large deck with partial ocean view and floor to ceiling windows. Located just off the beach within a 5 min walk to town. The sunrise was incredible from the beach!
We enjoyed shopping in town and of course the famous penguin parade. One of out favorite things was visiting the Nobbies pre dusk then taking the alternate dirt road to the penguin center. This little drive was incredibly picturesque and we saw countless swamp wallaby in their natural setting as they come out around dusk. Our last day was spent at the Philip Island Wild Life Park. This park was a highlight as you get to comune with the wildlife, up close and personal. For hands on, intimate interactions with kangaroo, emu and wallaby this park must be top of the list! We lost count of how many Joey's we saw that day. It was our favorite stop on all of the island!
The paperwork was a bit much to rent the place but I have no complaints about the property and the owner was easy to reach with questions.

The Unit was in a great location for walking to the beach or to the shops. The view of the ocean from the balcony was extremely relaxing.
The unit was spotless, well equipped and beautifully staged.
We will definitely stay again and also recommend
this unit to others.
Communication with the owner was promptly responded to in a very respectful and friendly manner.

location, comfort, cleanliness
there is no exhaust in the toilet

The outdoor furniture needs to be fixed asap, the glass table looks like it could break at any moment and isn't safe. Especially with kids around
