We weren’t expecting the town to be so wacky. What a place. We loved the town - it was like being on a real life western film set. We didn’t know what to expect, but it wasn’t that. It was a great experience.
We arrived at the hotel and had a fantastic welcome from the guys at the reception.
Our room was very large and comfortable.
I found the bed to be comfortable, but my husband found the bed uncomfortable.
The town was very quiet, so parking was available just outside of the property.
The town is close to a large lake where you can view many different types of birds.
Just for info - but it didn’t affect us.
There are no English tv channels. We used our hdmi cable and were able to watch a film from our laptop.
Breakfast was nice, but quite basic. Bread, cheese, ham, donuts, cornflakes and chocolate flakes, fruit and yogurt.
The shower head needs a little attention as the water didn’t flow from it properly. Lots of nice hot water though.

Modest hotel with no pretensions. Good location, good room and facilities and a good breakfast. A very solid choice, would repeat.
Nothing, enjoyed it all

Desayuno razonable. Limpieza razonable. Habitación no muy cómoda, pero suficiente. Opción interesante para pasar unos días en la aldea del Rocío.

Not a lot.
We booked 2 rooms in the hotel. The day before arrival we were offered a superior upgrade at no extra charge to an apartment. If this apartment is considered an upgrade, then I dread to think what the hotel is like. The photos of the hotel bedrooms and facilities look lovely on the site but we didn't stay in the hotel. The apartment was dark, cold and the beds only had a thin cotton bedcover - no duvet and no extra pillows. The kitchen was less than basic.
There was one girl at the hotel who tried to explain in English how to find the apartment but insisted it was easier to use google maps on my phone. Still couldn't find the apartment for ages......... Eventually a nice man who spoke English understood where we were and sent the cleaner to find us and give us the keys.

Beautiful classic hotel and room. Good breakfast simple but nice. Good bed.
The bathroom has NO towel hangers on walls at all. What are we to do with wet towels? Not good. One large long pillow to share wasn't good. We sleep differently and so that was a problem.

The staff were so helpful and very accommodating of our late arrival. Lovely, spacious room for a good price. Bed was comfortable and the toiletries were the nicest we had on our whole trip.
Could have done with some information in the room, like the wifi password or emergency contact details.

El Rocio & the Palacio was a whole new experience of old Spain. The hotel was beautiful and I loved it's rural style. Bedrooms with comfortable beds & great shower rooms were around an external courtyard overlooking a small plunge pool. Traditional breakfast included. The staff were smiling, courteous & very helpful. El Rocio must be seen to. be believed. Flamingos on the lake, cuckoo calling and the wonderful white church dominating the centre of the village surrounded by sandy streets and people riding horses or in their carriages for the Romeria.
No drinks available in the hotel during the evening if you are not going out again. There are plenty of bars to go out to.

Great small hotel with character. Room was comfortable and quiet.
The receptionist was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was simple but of high quality. Great coffee, tostadas con olive oil, spreads and cold meats.
All was great

Lovely hotel with good breakfast. In the centre of town.
It was cold throughout the hotel. Beginning of March and not warm but heating in room did not really work.

it has character, an excellent location, was very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful
the breakfast choice was not fantastic, but we were there during low season and we were the only guests, so it is understandable

It was a stunning building converted to a hotel. The room was well appointed, and warm. Continental breakfast was excellent. I was surprised as I was looking for a cheap hotel, and was very impressed by the value.
Gaining access is not easy, try to have a good idea when you will show up. I would like a little information about the use and history of the building. Remember it is El Rocio, a village dedicated to the horse, - the roads are sand

the location, right by the marsh. Lovely breakfast, filling, perfect start to a day of exploring nature hikes. Rocio and I did not share a common language, but it didn't prevent us from communicating. She was a perfect host, helpful and kind
tv volume could not be turned down

Vintage furniture and architecture were cuties, cleanness, friendly staff, and nice neighborhood.
The bed was too small and there was one big pillow for 2 people, the shower curtains could be changed to glass, and poor breakfast.

Very satisfied on all fronts. I'd stayed there four years ago, and would stay there again.
The facilities and services were good for the price.

Nice building, remarkable architecture. Excelent location on peculiar El Rocío.
Wi-fi not available in the room. Staff not very friendly at arrival. Breakfast was a bad experience. Short staff led to lack of dishes and food.
