The castle was phenomenal. Booked a large double room which turned out to be the size of an apartment. The bathroom was huge. Everything was immaculate and the staff were amazing. The grounds are like something from a postcard everywhere you looked.
You couldn’t fault the place. Only wish we stayed longer.

The room was large and comfortable. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant but we enjoyed the bar.
We were a little worried about the location right next to the motorway but it wasn't noisy. We slept well.
The water was not draining properly in the shower tray. My clothes were wet by the overflowed water.

Beyond exceptional. Extremely attentive staff, room and hotel were simply world leading in cleanliness & well chosen furniture. View were stunning & the food was beyond description! Mouth watering dishes were had and all at reasonable prices. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back. The dog bowls & food menu were an extra treat!
Only critique would be there was no dog friendly areas in the public spaces and a small section of the bar would’ve been appreciated.

The facility is extremely beautiful but what really stand up is the staff. They are excellent, always willing to help, and very kind. When we arrived, Enma came out and immediately help with luggage, gave us a tour, and display an amazing care and professionalism.
I like everything inside and the premises as well.

Crossbasket Castle is an elegant accommodation in a beautiful country setting, steeped in history. The members of the staff enjoy greeting their guests and providing the services with attention to detail and a sincere interest is seeing the guests enjoy the experience of staying in their facility.
The fire alarm that went off before 7am due to a client's hair dryer catching fire. Things happen and everyone took the incident in stride and evacuation was handled professionally.

Outstanding, no other words can describe the magic of this place. Best stay ever and most likely one of the best dinners ever

Good location for heading into city center for trips. Beautiful rooms and grounds. There is a nice walk by the river on property.
Had lunch and it was not great and not worth the price.

Beautiful hotel with amazing, efficient and friendly service.
Food at breakfast and lunch was very good quality. Didn’t eat in the main restaurant due to not having enough time.

Absolutely stunning Castle and location. Food was out of this world, as was the room we stayed in. Worthy of 6 stars if that was possible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nothing negative to say about Crossbasket Castle whatsoever.

When we arrived we greeted by a lovely reception staff, who showed us around the castle and then on to our room which was lovely with beautiful views to the front of the castle. We were given a brief overview of the history of the castle, stunning.
During our meal there was a harpist playing outside the dinning room, excellent.
We felt if there was form of entertainment throughout day?

Lovely castle, magical details. Fabulous food and staff.
Would have liked to hear more about the history of the castle and walk around the gardens. Any murder mystery games would be great.

I had heard of Crossbasket but hadn’t been previously. Did have a slight problem finding it however well worth the time it took. Lovely setting; beautiful room overlooking front garden area; staff very friendly and evening meal very nice. After a hearty breakfast we set off for home having enjoyed our overnight stay. Will certainly recommend to our friends.
Zilch - everything just perfect.

We were in the lodge which was amazing - we could live there full time!!
We had lunch in the restaurant which was absolutely delicious. The breakfast was also very tasty and there were so many options to choose from. We leisurely ate and drank our way through it all.
We would now like to go back and try the afternoon tea.
The only thing we agreed that we didn’t like was the pork and sage sausage 😫
1.5
It was an attractive property.
There was nowhere to walk and the staff were useless in helping us to find something to do. The room was eerie and dated and I wouldn’t recommend spending that amount on a suite. It’s really just somewhere to stay or get married and has nothing else to recommend itself. The nearest town is a dump.

The castle was booked for a 50th birthday and a surprise, it was perfect as soon as we drove onto the grounds and saw the breathtaking property and surrounding area we realised it was the best choice. It just got better and better we parked and walked along the tranquil setting to the entrance of the castle and received a warm welcome everything from that point was faultless quality and professionism, room was beautiful and spacious very luxurious, the food was superb too quality and portions were exceptional choice was brilliant, especially breakfast there was a huge amount to choose from, can't fault this place quite simply we didn't want to leave we will be back massive thanx to the team for a fabulous stay and all the effort, with a special thanks to the general manager surajit who was very helpful took time too chat and show us around can't thank everyone enough we will be back
There was nothing about this place that we didn't like apart from Maybe leisure facilities, however I believe there is a new development to rectify this

The rooms was lovely with a gorgeous bathroom.
No-one answered reception through the night
4.5
Staff very friend and welcoming, cottage was lovely and restaurant food very nice.
The lighting between the hotel and cottage was poor and made walking very difficult at night.
The temperature in the dining room was uncomfortably hot bordering on unpleasant which detracted from the otherwise nice meal.
3.5
Lovely building, location and staff
Cost. Priced well above the facilities offered. Also not happy others had chocolates on pillow yet we did not.
4.5
Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was beautiful and clean. The food was delicious and fresh tasting with plenty of variety.
There was the occasional loud plumbing noise in the night from other rooms, but it was very short lived and didn’t detract from our overall experience

The grounds are lovely. Though we didn’t get to make much use of it, the stand alone gate unit had all the perks of a vacation rental.
The showers were a bit moldy. The food (dinner and breakfast) was disappointing.
