Worst place we have ever stayed - save your money

Location quite good

• Foul stench of drains in all rooms - came in waves maybe once or twice an hour • Dirty grill pan/oven with previous occupants grease and fat left on dirty foil • Dirty Toaster covered in crumbs • Kettle lid didn't fit properly and leaked boiling water when pouring • Kettle wobbled when water boiling up and caused it to turn itself off, had to hold steady till it boiled • TV/Sky couldn't be watched as pixelating and sound distorted like daleks • Handrail on stairs falling off wall and missing altogether at top of stairs - dangerous • No light switch for stairs at the bottom of stairs • Dirty spoons and cutlery in drawer - had to be washed prior to use • The notice asking you to leave the place clean and tidy as they don't charge you for cleaning. Their place was definitely cleaner when I left it than when I arrived! • Had to ask for heating to be put on - no facility to put heating on - very cold • Bathroom shower over bath not fit for purpose - shower rail and curtain so small that water streamed off your elbow and outside of bath onto the floor • Bathroom door doesnt close • Kitchen tap kept falling apart - turning handle came off in hand each time! • Single glazed window in bedroom - extremely noisy as on a very busy main road • One hand towel provided and two small bath towels. Nowhere to hang any of them at all to air after first use so unable to have shower the second morning as no dry towels, as no heating on. • Flooring at side of bath not finished so two different levels. Large bath mat put on I didn't read the other reviews prior to booking/arriving and wish I had, it would have saved me a lot of money. I am surprised that Booking.com actually allow this standard of accommodation to be advertised on their site, which I use a lot, and up until now have trusted them simply because they are on their website. A lesson learned!

Nice apartment, intrusive owner's

Clean and spacious, everything we needed really

We got this apartment because we were going to a wedding reception in the hotel behind, another couple came to the apartment for a few drinks and the owner came in asking loads of questions about who was there, I didn't realise I was paying per person, no reason they couldn't come in for a bit before the reception. Also the car park they tell you to use is a nightmare to get in and out of.

Location, clean to view.. OK for one night, perhaps 2.

2 stale pies in the fridge on arrival. TV did not work. There are no curtains in living room. Failed to grit , remove ice from car park which was treacherous with ice.. Bizarre kitchen layout with microwave at knee level.

spacious, clean, well appointed

some of the finishes on the surfaces were a bit ragged but it wasn’t a problem for me. There was no light switch at the bottom of the stairs

1.No double glazing. On a main road, sound of traffic all day. 2. Damp and musky smell 3. Infested with wasps, dead and alive 4. SKY TV stopped working. 5. Decor very bad 6. Not all the bulbs worked 7. Can't believe Booking.com recommend this as an alternative to the one we booked

Well situated for our visit to family.

The availability of a washing machine was excellent. Secure car parking was a relief. Our hostess was very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was spacious.

The bed was quite low and difficult to get up from.

The 1 bedroom was upstairs. Would be difficult for a tall person due to the sloping roof in many areas.

Exceptional

a lot of space in living room and bedroom. Bathroom is new and big with very hot water for shower. Even though the house is a little bit old but the furniture and equipment inside is new.

Busby Wedding

The layout of both apartments was perfect. Ideal if attending an event nearby.

Check-out was scheduled for 11am. Unfortunately the owner arrived at 10.40am to start cleaning the apartment. We felt that we were unnecessarily hurried to vacate the premises a little earlier than planned.

Disappointed 😥

Cosy, compact and quiet

The apartment was very cold. We asked for the central heating to be turned on and was advised to use the fan heater for the bedroom and the oil heater in the living room. The radiators never did put out heat. The windows were old and drafty and the mattress was old and needs replacing. There is a flight of stairs to the apartment that would not suit anyone with an impairment. I would not recommend this apartment

There was a very steep set of stairs to access the apartment, the bannister did not go all the way to the top of the stairs so these became dangerous. There was a broken smoke alarm attached one wall, we did not see any other kind if safety equipment. The shower base was mouldy and the shower leaked. The drains all smelled foul and after one night of a two night stay we couldn't take any more and vacated the apartment just after 10am.
